Ipod Touch 5th Gen, 64gb Not syncing all music.
I bought my ipod Yesterday. 5th Gen, I am trying to sync my music but only 1949 songs downloaded out of 5138, at the bottom of my song list it says "Downloading 1949 of 5138..." but nothing's happened for a few hours now, It's doing the Red Square/Red Circle thing.
Yes, regarding space. When I first reset the memory; it had 3 GB of room. I didn't add any other music or applications.
Do the non-sync songs play? Well; I thought they did. However, as I try to play them I get a message about not being able to locate the songs. I did change the path in the Preferences section. And - it looks like it found files one I manually told it to look. I'm going to re-sync and see what happens.

I have a 5th Gen. iPod touch, 32 GB. I moved my iTunes music onto another remote HD - the original was about to let go. I the went back to re-sync. Now the device will only sync part of my manually selected list.I have selected 2632 songs (as displayed in iTunes) with only 816 syncing. This is not due to missing music - no warning for that. I have reset the iPod, erased the music separately from it, cleared the iPod completely and reloaded everything. Even a restore from my computer. No go. FYI - No iCloud; everything via USB. ipod touch 5th gen will not sync after windows 8.1 update. Computer see's Itouch as mass storage and charges. Worked with Window's 8 fine, as soon as update was done and restarted computer Itouch doesn't show up. Itouch seen on two other computers.

Kids ipod gets the 13019 error after trying to sync. I have done all the suggestions online and now it has no music and will not sync.
It seems to download all the music and on the last song clicks out and says unknown error.
any other suggestions?
Kid is mad now there is NO music on the ipod. At least before it had the old music and just would not download new songs.
All worked on our iphones, and other ipods. Just hers is wacked.
thanksI've encountered the same problem as this recently, but unfortunately i haven't worked out how to fix it yet.
I tried to fit too many songs on my ipod nano from itunes, and it told me it would create a selection of these (titled my songs) and put them on the nano, which it did. I then went back onto itunes to delete some songs so that they would all fit on the nano. I also deleted the "my songs" playlist, knowing that all the songs were still stored under Music on itunes. When i tried to sync the nano it said that it couldn't be synced as the required disk cannot be found.

Both my iPad2 and iPod touch (5th gen) will not sync to iTunes!
This is incredibly frustrating. My computer recognizes both devices (wirelessly AND via USB cable). They connect and successfully sync, but when I check my devices for changes (ie. added music and changes to playlists), nothing has changed. What is the issue here? I bought and imported a CD the other day to my iTunes library no problem; I cannot get it to add to my iPad or iPod. I have tried restarting devices, checking for updates.. nothing helps.
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Having real issues with my iPod touch 5th gen touchscreen not responding when it's on charge. Parts of the screen go dead or need several taps etc. Tried removing case etc. made sure I'm using included charger and directly to the mains not on an extension. Is it faulty?
Some other users have reported same problem. I have not heard of a resolution. You can try:
- Using another cable
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I've gotten the iPod to sync after restoring it and not changing ANY of the music sync settings. I didn't even click "sync music", I just have it on manual and clicked autofill.

I have recently bought a new laptop and downloaded iTunes to it right away. I have not been able to connect my iPod touch 5th gen to iTunes at all since then. I have updated both the iPod and iTunes completely and both are up to date. I tried different iPods of the same generation and they haven't connected either. I have tried using different cables and all my usb ports. I tried resetting my iPod and re-installing iTunes to my computer. My iPod is showing up in my computer but not under devices in iTunes. Can anyone help?

For me it was step 5 (Apple Mobile Device USB Driver) that solved the problem of none of my iOS devices being recognized by iTunes in the 11.3.1.2 version and Windows 8.1 -
iPod touch 5th gen will only sync to iTunes using an old lightning cable that it's falling apart, will charge with another cable but it won't sync to iTunes already try reset and restore same results..I also update everything using a Mac mini and latest iTunes version and 8.1.3 iOS on iPod touch any help will be really appreciated also try different computer like a macbook pro no luck.

In the music tab, I've selected the various albums and artists I want. I click on "sync," and some albums sync, others do not. Often, only some tracks of the selected albums sync. Additionally, some albums sync that I haven't even selected. My computer's operating system is Windows 8.1. Please help - thank you!
Providing the songs play OK in iTunes on the computer and you do not have any Restrictions set that wold prevent syncing those songs (Settings>General>Restrictions; iTunes purchases only)
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
