IPod Touch 5th Gen NO SOUND!!!!!!

My iPod 5th gen displays & seems to be running but it has no sound, but the sound is perfectly fine when im using earphones.
I have tried the reset and/or restore but doesnt change a thing,
I think this happened 2 weeks after updating to iOS 7, i dont know if it has something to do with updating, just saying.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem.

If not under warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

IPod touch 5th gen jack problem

So here's the problem. I have a 32gb iPod touch 5th gen and it's working fine until I plugged it into a portable speaker. (THe ones used in PC) The sound that came out had a static background. Now, every time I plug Apple's default earphones into the jack, the sound that comes out is too loud. Adjusting the volume doesn't help. It's as if the earphone had turned into a speaker. What's worse, there's still the static background. It's like tuning on an FM station with really bad reception.
I've done the ff, and nothing worked so far:
1. Reboot
2. Reset settings
3. Tried 3 different pairs of earphones.
What should I do. I would also like to add that I can play the music through the iPod's built in speakers without any problems. It's just the jack.

Ipod touch 5th gen wont send or receive texts while connected to specific internet

My iPod touch 5th gen (iOS 8.3) won't send or receive texts from my home internet. iMessage works everywhere else except for at home and I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or if it has more to do with the actual internet connection. Up until a week ago I could send and receive messages but out of nowhere it stopped working. Everyone else's Apple devices (primarily iMessage) in my family work fine but my iPods iMessage won't work.
Safari works and all of my internet required apps work as well excluding iMessage.
If anyone has a solution or advice it would be much appreciated.
I've tried resetting my settings, network settings, signing out of my Apple ID, and making sure I have the correct time and date. I have reset my interent multiple times too.

IPod Touch 5th gen headphone jack and battery not working properly

Yesterday my iPod touch 5th gen's battery started draning at an incredible rate. Won't last longer then 1 or 2 hours now. And add onto it the headphone jack stopped working properly. It's now only plays in one ear, it's all static over the sound it's supposed to play. I baby my iPod. This all happened out of the blue. What do I do to fix it?

Ipod touch 5th gen issue

i recently purchased an ipod touch 5th gen and have used it fine, but now i have a black screen.
it is unresponsive to the home button but if i adjust sound i get the image showing what level the sound is on, and pressing home sleep seems to take pictures.
i have tried charging it and it makes a sound showing its charging, but doesnt respond in any other way, and connecting to the computer didnt help either
any ideas

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Ipod touch 5th gen dies within 2 mins of not being pluged in

i got a ipod touch 5th gen for christmas and it worked great up until the last 2 months or so i will charge it all night and in the morning i will unplug it and check facebook and before i can even open the app it will die and wont turn on until i plug it in again. So whats the problom is it the battery or ios 7 and i didnt get water or anything on it so its not shorting out or anything like that. maybe theres somthing they changed in the 5th gen battery that doesnt work right. someone help!!

IPod Touch 5th gen no longer working with Mini stereo...

I have an 'entertainment pack' in my Mini that allows me to connect my iPod Touch 5th gen to the car stereo (via USB & aux in cables) to both listen to it and scroll through my music through the stereo interface. I have had a few problems before with it not connecting but these usually resolved themselves within a day or so and I think were more to do with my lightning to 30 pin adapter than my actual iPod. However, since I installed the latest ios7 update a couple of days ago I cannot get it to work at all and keep getting a message saying 'this accessory is not supported' when I plug the iPod into my car. Any suggestions on how I can resolve this?

Jabber Client on iPod Touch 5th Gen

I'm running the Cisco Jabber client on an iPod Touch 5th Gen and running into an issue with call notification coming across when the jabber app is in background mode. I get a repeating pulsing on the device and visual notification of a call being presented, but no audible ringtone. If you bring the app to the forefront, you get the audible ringtone. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What does Settings > Notification Center > Cisco Jabber show? It needs an alert style of Banners or Alerts.

My iPod touch 5th gen can't play videos?

I've had my iPod touch 5th gen since Christmas Eve and I haven't had any problems with it, but a few days ago it stopped playing videos and now - even though I have turned it off and back on and turned the wifi off and back on again - it still can't play videos off any site, Facebook, dailymotion, YouTube, nothing. But I can view webpages and get Internet connection just fine!!

My iPod touch 5th gen does not respond properly when charging?

Having real issues with my iPod touch 5th gen touchscreen not responding when it's on charge. Parts of the screen go dead or need several taps etc. Tried removing case etc. made sure I'm using included charger and directly to the mains not on an extension. Is it faulty?

The reason i asked this question is because i have been wondering this a lot ever since i got an exchange on this ipod (and ive only had it for a few weeks now) because my last ipod had a lot of problems. so after i restored my ipod with my computer/itunes, i downloaded apps that i wanted, and then when i went to the storage to see how much storage was left, it said 0 bytes. i was freaking out because i didnt know how that could be, i mean, cause like, that is impossible when i just 'purchased' it, that the space was full but i looked and all my pictures were on this ipod and i already put them on my computer so i dont need them anymore thats why i wanna reset it now so there is nothing on it so i can have more space for stuff to do and download on it.
it is updated to iOS 8 but that happened when i purchased it, so i didnt have a choice to update it even though i didnt want to update to iOS 8...

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. To be honest, the newest version of itunes is hard to use and not as user friendly in my opinion - or i may not know how to use it yet. Anyways, i tried to backup my iphone to itunes and then restore my new ipod from the backup of the iphone 4, but it only backed up phoyos, contacts, and two other things (games was not one of them). Then when I restored my ipod, that is all that downloaded onto the ipod as well. I would really appreciate if someone would be able to provide me with detailed instructions as to how to be able to download everything from my iphone 4 to my ipod touch 5th generation. Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. Dont forget to check that all the transferred data is in the iTunes media folder so that the iTunes can locate the files. Link to Transcopy software :
