Hello, miller.lala78.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that your daughter's iPod touch will not respond.  I would start with going through the troubleshooting steps in the article below.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on

  • I have the 2nd generation ipod touch and my screen went black and wont do anything what could be wrong?

i realy want it to be fixed its my life

    Have you try to:
    > Charge your iPod?
    > Plug it to your computer?
    > Hold the Power button to turn on?
If so and none work, you may need to replace your battery.
    iPod Owners
Your one-year warranty includes replacement coverage for a defective battery. You can extend your coverage to two years from the date of your iPod purchase with the AppleCare Protection Pan for iPod. During the plan’s coverage period, Apple will replace the battery if it drops below 50% of its original capacity. If it is out of warranty, Apple offers a battery replacement for $49 (iPod shuffle), $59 (iPod nano and classic), $79 (iPod touch) plus $6.95 shipping, subject to local tax. Apple disposes of your battery in an environmentally friendly manner.

NOTE: If you do get the battery replaced yourself, becareful when removing the screen because there is a special cable connecting to the iPod itself and the screen and its very fragile. If that break, then you also need to replace the screen as well.

Clearly, it's not inexpensive.  You might wish to try a few things yourself.
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

  • Got a refurbished iPod Nano 6th gen, and went to connect it to my PC,

Got a refurbished iPod Nano 6th gen, and went to connect it to my PC, it said it was configured to Mac and went to restore it and install software. Now shows white screen with little computer icon and warning sign. won't reset

By a reset, I assume you mean pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear?
Can you try and force the Nano into Disk Mode and then connect it iTunes and restore it again?

  • I have a few scratches on my iPod touch 4th gen screen and it really bothers me I need a way to get rid of them

I have a few scratches on my iPod touch 4th gen screen and it really bothers me and I need a way to fix it without replacing the screen or causing further damage

Hey Pandorafromtn, Not to rub salt in you open wounds, but prevention would have cost less than $10! Anything that will remove the scratches will most likely ruin the screen. I am aware of a product that works well for fill scratches in eyeglasses. It paints on, is kind of milky semi-transparent then drys to a haze. You then rub / polish until clear. Will it damage the coating on an iPod screen? I don't know. But may be for not, I can't remember the name of the stuff. I guess contact a eye care center, they may be able to help. Replacing the screen would be the best option you have or learn to live with it. In the future use a case and/or screen protector. Or you could start working on your incantations, "Oculus Repairus!" Don't forget the flick of the wrist to get your wand in the correct angle as you state "Repairus". All joking aside, Good luck. Cheers.

  • When will the iPod touch 6th gen come out

When will the iPod touch 6th gen come out

Apple has not announced any new iPod models, and until they do none of us here, who are all fellow users, will have any idea. In the past, any new models of the iPod touch were announced in the fall, but whether Apple will continue this pattern or indeed if they have plans for any future new iPod touch models at all is unknown. We'll just have to wait and see.
    Regards.

  • If I replace my Ipod touch 4th gen screen with a local company other than Apple will the apple warrenty be void or will the warrenty be void if I replace the screen myself?

If I replace my Ipod touch 4th gen screen with a local company other then Apple will the Apple warrenty be void or will the warrenty be void if I replace the screen myself?

Regardless of what Apple may or may not say about repair work done by a third party (a non-Apple company or you yourself), the Magnuson-Moss Act precludes them from voiding your warranty simply because you had work done by a third party or used non-OEM parts.  Typically people hear of thie Act as it is applied to cars. Car manufacturers cannot require you go to a dealership for repairs or that you use OEM parts. They cannot void your warranty for doing that. The Act applies to all consumer goods. Computer manufacturers cannot require you send your computer to them for memory upgrades or that you use memory supplied by them. Apple cannot require you to go to Apple for repair work or that you use Apple parts in that repair.
With that said, though, if you have a problem in the future, Apple could make the claim that it was the result of damage from improper repair or substandard parts. Your only recourse would be the court system, not a quick or inexpensive endeavor.

You can try Restoring it in iTunes but I believe you will end up needing to have it serviced.

  • Ipod touch 4th gen. screen is white

We were editing photos on ipod touch 4th gen. screen turned white. Turned it off and back on and it said no photos and videos were found. Turned it off and back on again and it says it needs to be restored.  Don't know what has happened.  Why would it wipe out photos and videos?  Can I get around restoring it?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My iPod touch (4th gen) suddenly went blank, and I can't get it back on!

I was listening to music and downloading songs from the iTunes Store on my iPod touch (4th gen) when suddenly the screen went blank. The music I was listening to was still playing in my headphones. When I unplugged the headphones, the music oddly continued playing from the built-in speakers, instead of pausing like it normally does when you remove the headphones without pausing. I think the music finally stopped shortly after I plugged the headphones back in.
Since this happened, the iPod has not responded at all when I press or hold buttons. The screen has remained blank and turned off. Surprisingly, iTunes still recognizes the iPod when I connect it to my computer (Windows Vista laptop, if it matters) and tries to sync. Since iTunes is very poorly written, it almost always freezes at some point before I can successfully finish syncing, but this was happening before my iPod blank-screened, so it isn't related to the problem.
What's wrong with my iPod, and how do I fix it? Will I need to have it repaired? Thanks!

My terrible HughesNet connection screwed up, and I ended up posting this twice. Please go here for the thread you should reply on: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3178195
