Ipod touch 8GB stuck in loop after resetting ipod during update

I reset my ipod touch 4th generation while it was going through an update because it stoped during the update and would not continue and i couldnt get out of the update screen. after doing so the ipod goes to the start up screen and does either of three things. 1. turns on, goes to boot up screen with apple logo and then goes to a screen with colors varying in blue. 2. ipod stays in a continued reset where the apple logo appears as though its turning on and after about a minute or two then flashes starts again. or 3 starts up and stays on the boot up screen and stays there. i have tried connecting to my computer and to itunes with no avail. any help would be appreciated

Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.

  • Touch screen doesn't work after resetting the phone. Could the screen be locked?

After following the previous  touch screen not working message, I reset the phone but still doesn't work.  Could there be a screen lock?  Or any other way for the touch screen to work?

        Hi there Angelicness3011!
The touch screen responding correctly is pretty important for you to even use your phone! I'm sorry to learn you've been having issues with it. Let's review some options together!
You mentioned you reset the phone. Does this mean you removed the battery & put it back in? Or does this mean you able to complete an actual Hard Reset?
Instructions on a Hard Reset can be found here: http://bit.ly/Q00sJ9
Your information is generally backed up to Google or Backup Assistant and your SD Card. If possible, please sign in to double check.
If you're unable to hard reset and removing the battery doesn't resolve the concerns we may have to look in to replacement. Does your phone have any physical or liquid damage? How long have you had your phone? Do you have insurance?
I look forward to your responses!

  • Stuck in loop after update

After I tryed to update to the new iTunes, I needed to update my iPod when I did this there was some error and it told me restore to factory settings. My screen on the iPod went from the color screen to a black and white screen after the update as well. I have tryed the changing the drive letter and this did not help. When I disconnect my ipod it tells me I need to connect to a computer. I would really like to be able to use my iPod again can anyone help me with this problem. I even tryed using the old updater to see if I can put on the old iPod software it didn't work. I tryed going back to the old version of iTunes this didn't work. I tryed the 5 Rs a few times and they have not worked yet.
    Please help me.

I now have the same problem with my iPhone 4s. Updated, phone went into the endless loop cycle now it's a brick. I have an appoinment at the genius bar tomorrow, so if they have a solution I'll post after the assessment, but I doubt it probably completely stuffed the phone. Hopefully someone here will figure it out before then and I won't have to go.............really ****** off at the moment though.

  • Ipod touch not recognized in windows after reset

I just reset my ipod touch in itunes and now it's not recognizing it. i was updating to 2.2.1 firmware and i never got past the update. it's hung on that screen that has the usb and cd. and windows keeps saying found new hardware and wants a driver. my ipod does not work now. how do i get windows to recognize it so i can finish the update.
I'm on xp 64 bit. and yes i'm using a hacked version of itunes. but it worked with this update before. i actually had the 2.2.1 firmware on it already but i needed to reset the ipod because i have a dead strip i was hoping a reset would fix. now nothing works.

I uninstalled iTunes, rebooted, and reinstalled.  Now, the iPod is being recognized by iTunes.  Hopefully, it will remain recognized the next time I reboot Windows.  I'd hate to have to uninstall/reinstall each time.
But, I'm using a beta operating system, and knew the ramafications when I installed it.  So, whatever happens, happens.  Thank you for responding.   Jd

    - First reset the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - If iTunes sees the iPod I would restore the iPod to factory defaults
    - If not seen, see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visible so you can restore the iPod.
    - Last, let the battery fully drain and the charge and try again.

  • Imac 24" stuck in loop after log in, upgrade SL

    Hi Folks,
I installed SL yesterday evening successfully , and this morning when starting up, my imac freezes just after log in, it seems to be stuck in a loop and does not go on...:(
I tried re changing user password, verify&repair, Pram Reset,i reinstalled SL, but it nothing helps, still stuck in tha loop
    anybody has an idea?

If it freezes after just logging into a user account, chances are good that something in that account's home folder is the culprit. The most likely suspect is an incompatible login item in System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items. A Safe Boot disables (among other things) login items, so if doing that avoids the freeze, open the preference & check out those items for anything unusual or not from Apple that may need to be updated or removed.
Tip: if you hover the pointer over the name of an item in that list for a few seconds, its path will pop up. This usually gives you a clue about where it came from even if the name itself does not.

  • HT201263 iPhone 4 stuck in loop after downloading iOS 6.0.1

I downloaded the newest version of iOS 6 to my 5 month old iPhone 4. After about an hour I noticed that the phone was in a perpetual power up/power down loop. I assumed it was part of the downloading process (although it seemed weird) so I left it for another hour. The phone never came out of the loop, and was not recognizable in iTunes or to my computer. After about 3 hours I was finally able to get the phone off by holding down the power button.
The loop that I described consists of the phone powering up to the apple logo, and powering down, repeating every 5 seconds.
I was finally able to get my computer to recognize the phone by holding down the home button while I connected it to the USB.
In iTunes, I restored the phone (1.5 hour process.) Following the restore, the phone hasn't changed, still stuck in the loop.
I have tried everything I know to do.
    Any ideas?
The phone is not jailbroke. When the guys at AT&T plugged it up to their computer, the screen turned bright blue. They said the blue screen normally pops up with water damage? The phone hasn't had any damage.

    Thanks for the reply.
Yes i tried in my pc and disabled both and in my MacBookPro too, still no luck.

  • Windows 10 Upgrade infinite boot loop after reset

I did a Windows 10 upgrade on an old computer with these specs:-Windows 7 Pro- 64 bit-Dell Optiplex 755-4 GB RAM-Intel Core2 Duo processor Everything ran fine after the upgrade. However I wanted to do a clean install. So I did so and chose the option to not keep any files or programs. It went through the process and was stalled at 99% for some time. I let it run over night. I came back and looked at it about 16 hours later and the 99% was gone, but the "hourglass" was still going. I pressed Escape and then CTRL+ALT+Delete to try to get it to respond. Now it is stuck in an infinite boot loop. It will reboot and then after several minutes it brings up an error message of "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart...- Inaccessible boot device." Then it restarts and the loop starts over.I've tried booting into safe mode using F8, but...
