Ipod touch and bluetooth

I have a Bose system that will only work with Bluetooth ,but my Ipod Touch 5 will not find this device. Any suggestions

Hello, I'm assuming you have already checked that your Bose system will work with your ipod 5, and that all Bose use the same system (I don't know if they do). I have an iPod 5 and Bose SoundLink Mini, worth every penny! Great sound for something around 1.4 pounds and small enough to carry with one hand, sorry of the commercial, but I love this speaker. With the Mini all I had to do was first make sure the speakers had power (charged / plugged in, whatever), Second make sure I was in range (found I can be on the opposite end of the house with out a problem). Turned on the speaker, noted the Bluetooth icon was pulsing blue, then turned on the my iPod's Bluetooth and waited a minute or so until the signal was acquired, the speaker confirmed the connection was made when the Bluetooth icon stopped pulsing blue and turn a solid white and makes a tone. On my iPod when I go into Settings>Bluetooth it shows Bose MiniSoundL...   Connected. From there it should be automatic to listen to your speakers. If your speaker is showing a solid white icon but not connected to your iPod, try pushing the speakers Bluetooth icon until it shows the pulsing blue light then turn on your iPod, and wait for it to find the signal. If the iPod is not recognizing the speaker but shows it is there tap on the blue "i" in the circle and then tap Forget This Device, then start over. Turn on the speaker with the blue pulsing icon then turn on your iPod's Bluetooth and give it a minute or so to find the signal. Once you get things working you should turn the iPod's volume up to almost full volume, mine does this automatically when Bluetooth is running and adjust the sound from the speakers. Hope this helps, Good luck.

  • IPod Touch and Bluetooth GPS?

MCM Electronics is advertising a Bluetooth GPS receiver at http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/58-13300. Would something like this work with my 3rd generation iPod Touch? If so, what app would I need?
    Steve

The Touch's Bluetooth capability is limited to stereo audio (A2DP) and connecting to other Touches or iPhones for gaming. So no, this device would not pair up with the Touch.

  • HT204387 Help with ipod touch and bluetooth headphones

    Hi
I have an iPod Touch (5th gen) and I'm trying to connect my Bluetooth Headphones but my iPod can't find them.  I can connect them with my iPad no problem, but not my iPod.
There's nothing on the headphones that I can change I don't think.
    Any suggestions??!
    Thanks

    - Reset the headphones. Sometimes you have to do that to pair to another device. How yo do that depends upon the headphones
    - On the iPod
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Y will also have to rejoin all wifi netwporks

  • IPod touch and bluetooth - what to expect.

Hello all, After trying to connect my planetronics head set and searching for an hour for an answer on why I cant see it, I thought I'd post my findings here.
#1 The bluetooth on my 2nd gen 16gb itouch doesnt work/support devices the way that other bluetooth enabled devices I've used do. This leads me to believe Apple has hobbled the blue tooth support in some way.
#2 Apple doesnt have an "official" document/web blurb/call it whatever you want - explanation on the support of bluetooth in the itouch.
Personal comment: I paid my money to upgrade to 3.1.1 because they said it supported Bluetooth. Ok Apple...What's the story?

It does support Bluetooth. But there are around 20 different Bluetooth profiles for many different purposes. It doesn't support every one of them - neither does any other Bluetooth device.

i can't put connect my ipod touch and my android tablette togheter with

That's because the connection probably requires a profile that is not supported by the iPod Touch.  See here for a list of supported profiles.

depends. for syncing and software updates: yes.
for putting e.g. MS Office files or .pdf files on it: check out e.g. _*Flash Drive*_ or _*Documents To Go*_. both require a wi-fi connection, though.
what about if I download any bluetooth program from the App Store ( For Example: iBlueNova ).
searching the app store for iBlueNova did not bring up anything for me. instead, search for +bluetooth fileshare+. maybe that app is for you ...

  • I can't get my iPad to find my iPod touch via bluetooth... Help!!!

I can't get my iPad to find my iPod touch via bluetooth, tried shutting off wifi on both and reseting. iPod 2 days old, 4 th gen white, iPad 2 = 2 months old

This is happening to many people.
For me, it's the Key Note Remote app that won't connect with my iPad2 from my iPhone4 after update to iOS5.
Apparently this does not affect the new iPhone 4S.
But that's not a solution unless you are planning on upgrading.
I'm still waiting for a response from Apple but I'd advise you to go to whichever app isn't connecting with Bluetooth and hit the "REPORT A PROBLEM" button in iTunes app page for said app.
This will go directly to the devs and should ellicite a faster response.
    Hope this gets fixed soon.
    Warm regards.

  • Pairing iPod touch with Bluetooth head set

I have a Gen2 iPod touch and just bought a bluetooth head set to use with skype but when I turn on Bluetooth it wont discover it and I know the headset works because it pairs with my computer.
I bought the os upgrade when it came out and just updated the software, I also restarted the iPod. the only thing I haven't done is restore the iPod which I wanted to avoid.
Anyone had this problem before? Any ideas of how to fix this?

Assuming Nissan says it will work with an iOS device with iOS 8:
    - Reset the Nissan system
    - Reset network settings on the iPod: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to rejoin wifi networks and re-pair all BT devices
    - Go to Nissan's support site
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Note that sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility.

  • I have an ipod touch and want to purchase an ipad can i use one account

I have an Ipod touch and want to purchase an ipad.  Can the same account be used.  Can my purchases on my ipod touch be synced to my ipad?

the only limits you'll face is if any of your iPod touch apps are for the iPhone only, they'll show up as tiny in the middle of the screen. There'll be a 2X button that'll allow you to zoom it up...some look better than others. All depends on how high resolution they are made.
Other apps will be in the app store with a + by them, those are universal and scale to fit the screen they are displayed on. Other apps you'll need to buy the iPad version. And you'll find some apps that are iPad only.

  • I downloaded iTunes 11.4 so I could set up an iPod Touch, and now it won't open at all. Can someone please tell me how to fix it?

As mentioned - I was trying to set up an iPod Touch, and it kept telling me "open iTunes," so it dawned on me that I probably needed to update it. So I updated it, and now it just doesn't open (it bounces once, and that's it).
    For added info:
I have a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
Technically I keep all my music on an external hard drive, but I don't think anything is corrupted (because it was working fine just before I updated it).
    Thank you.

Try resetting your System Management Controller or SMC then launch iTunes after processing these steps.  If the issue persists, try downloading a fresh copy of iTunes by accessing the second link below.
