Ipod Touch audio but no picture
I am trying to sling my tv from home to my ipod that is connected using a digital AV adapter and an HDMI cord to another TV. I am getting sound but no picture. Can you you help?
What app are you using? An iPod only displays TV out for apps that support TV out. The Video app is one such app. The app description will say it it support TV out for the iPod.

When I went to sync my iPhone, I accidently hit restore and it made my iPhone have all of the settings of my iPod Touch, erasing my iPhone pictures and contacts. Is there any way to get everything back?
Not to doubt you, but something sounds fishy. I can see accidentally clicking Restore, but to load your Touch's information you would have had to select your Touch's backup file after restoring, which would be hard to do by accident -- unless your iPhone and Touch have the same name?
In any case, your iPhone should have its own backup file on your computer. You can click Restore again and this time select the iPhone's backup file (there should be a device name and date associated with the pop-up window at the end of the restore process). This process will erase your iPhone, reload the OS, and then when you select your backup file then all your iPhone settings, data, sync options, etc. will be re-loaded, including your media (if you auto-sync ... if you manually manage music and video on the iPhone then you'll need to re-select the items you want loaded onto it). -
due to the virus attack i had to format my windows laptop...now when i installed new itunes software i had to sync my ipod touch again but it says that if i do it then the data present on my ipod touch will be erased as it is syncd to some older library... how should i protect my ipod touch data?
With all you media (apps, music) in the iTunes library connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup. Do that by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up. Then restore the iPod from that backup.
Note the the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music. -

I went to use my ipod touch 8GB but it wasn't working, when i looked closer it was on just very very dim. The brightness is turned up all the way and the screen is practically black.. does anyone know how to fix it?

My iPod touch charges but no longer plays thru my Onkyo or Phillips home theater systems. Works fine with friends iPhone and both systems worked fully with this iPod in the past.

Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Only you can activate your iPod by typing in your id and password, or you can remove a device from your account via http://icloud.com . If you can't remember your account id then do you have any of its downloads on your computer's iTunes : Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name ? If not then you could try http://iforgot.apple.com . Why do Outlook calendar invites appear on my iPod touch calendar but not my iCloud calendar? I use Outlook at work and if I want to add events to the calendar on my iPod Touch which I use as a PDA I simply create the event in outlook select my gmail email address and invite myself. The event appears on my iPod Touch...all well and good...now with the advent of iCloud I would like to see all events on my iPod calendar on the iCloud calendar that I view on my PC. At the moment only events that I have added directly onto the iPod calendar appear on the iCloud calendar.
I have messed around abit syncing and unsyncing, Turning the Calendar on and off in the iCloud setting on the device but nothing is really working. Any easy to follow suggestions or is it a trip to the geniuses in order?Not sure why you'd want to alter an artist name anyway but...
In iTunes, right-click selected track and click "Get Info" then edit the artist field and possibly the album artist too (edit as in... make sure they have a value (the correct artist name)). Delete the faulty track on your iPod and then re-upload the new one.
Another thing is that if you left the music player open on your iPod when you add the new track, sometimes I find that it doesnt find any of the new songs you add until you close and then re-open the app on the iPod. -
DVR620KU DVD records audio but no picture
Hello, I have my dvr combo hooked up to both my LG TV and external device (roku box). I have all of the correct cords in place as far as I know, i have input 1 for the tv and 2 for roku box. But when attempting to record on DVD, it: 1. Shows blue screen on both input select options, and 2. Records audio but no picture. Any ideas where I may have gone wrong? Any help is much appreciated!
There may be some confusion about what is input and what is output for the DVR620.
Be very specific about how you have connected the DVR620. What is coming into L1 and L2? What is going out from HDMI, S-Video, video out, and/or component video out? What are the model numbers of the LG TV and the Roku?
If I'm interpreting what you're saying correctly, you're trying to connect your TV to L1 on the DVR620 and that's not going to work. L1 is an input signal to the DVR620, and the TV would also be expecting an input signal. The Roku could indeed be connected to L2 via composite video out from the Roku (assuming that model has that output). -

The iPod has no native texting capability. It can send/receive messages to other suitably equipped Apple devices Via iMessage. To text to non-Apple devices, you will need to download a text App from the App Store.

I've been given some .mov files to use on FCP.
When I play them I can hear the audio but the pictures are green. The client says they play for him.
I am on mac 10.5.8 and FCP 6.0.6.
The files details are the same as a file that will play.

I've been told this happened to somebody else last week, but didn't get a resaon why.
Any clues as to why this is happening? I suspect it's a codec issue of some sort
