Ipod touch Black screen.
My I pod touch was playing pandora last night and when I woke up the top time bar/battery/ wifi bar was there and so was the home button I have on my screen but it will not respond only to take screen shots. What do I do for this to be fixed?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Ipod touch black screen, but plays music
My iPod touch, 4th geneneration, won't turn on. It has a black screen. I've read countless discussions on here. I tried the 30 second pressing down both home and power, recovery mode, plugging ipod into itunes and holding down the buttons. I've tried charging it, but everytime i do, I can hear the ding it does when it starts charging. Music even played once! It's just a black screen though. Any other suggestions?
Chpwnd, it is not the digitizer, that senses touch. The problem is with either the LCD screen, the backlight or thedriving circuits and connections

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

IPod touch black screen, not recognized when plugged in
I just brought myself an iPod touch 4th gen so I decided I would give my old one to my brother so I was clearing it off for him and some other things when I accidentally pulled it out of the computer I then pressed the sleep button to turn it on but the screen remained black so I tried plugging it back
In the computer but it shows it as a unknown device then I tried plugging it into the wall charger which didn't work either. My friend thinks it might be in dfu mode but if it was wouldn't the computer still recognize it? Any suggestions? Please and thank you :)Google for a third-party repair place or sent it to Appe. See:

After being connected to a charging source overnight try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

hi i need some help because i compared my friends iphone to my touch.

his iphone is like dark dark black on the screen and my touch is lighter.

theres nothing u can do on it. The screens on the ipod touch and the iphone are solded differently (ive taken notice on those sites that take ipods apart), so it creates a completely different viewing experience. The ipod touch's screen is completely washed out with backlight while the iphone evenly spreads out its backlight. I have concluded that i should just live with that fact, and i think you should too. -
When I open messages in my iPod touch the screen is black, I have no access to the keyboard and then after 10 secs, the screen bounces back to the home screen, why is this?

My ipod touch 4th screen light doesnt work. Its pitch black screen. when i press the home botton then press anywhere on the screen, there is a noise, but nothing to be see on the screen, just a pitch black screen.

My ipod touch 'blacks out ' when loading apps and then goes straight back out to the screen. I have tried resetting it and also re-downloading the apps but with no success. All software is up to date.

Did you purchase your iPod Touch second hand or direclty from the Apple Store? I would recommend that you go back to the Apple Store and show them both devices in action so that they can advise you closely. -

What is the provisioning feature in the settings under, general>profile? It says something about "provisioning". What does that mean and what does it do?? (It's on my 5th generation iPod touch, black, iOS 6.1.3
A profile is used on iOS device to add specific settings and similar things to an iOS device. Tryically, they are added when the iOS devices is controlled by a company or school.
However, some apps install a profile. If your iPod is not controlled by a company or school then it seems an app added the profile. You can good the title if the profile and see if that gives any info. -

While installing an update for my IPod touch 4g ( that I`ve had for around over a year )
and turned it off while it was " updating " . I turned it on a while after ,
