Ipod Touch cant find airport express

ive got my airport express plugged into my college dorm's ethernet port and it set up for bridge mode, as a closed network with wpa2 security. my ipod touch can never find the network to connect to and my laptop can find it and connect to it, but alwas forgets it when the cmputer sleeps and i then have to reconect to the network

I know you have an iPod touch, but all this does is let you access it via Safari, so it should work fine.

It seems like a natural that the iPod touch could stream music wirelessly to Airport Express where it could be played by stereo system. It could also stream to iTV. Are these features going to be present in future software upgrade?

I would think battery life would have to at least be a concern, streaming directly from the ipod. Would be fine for a few songs maybe, how long is the average youtube video, and how does it affect runtime?

Airport Utility Cant find airport express PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A teacher of mine gave me an airport express base station and he used it for a month. I bring it home and plug it in to a power source outlet and a light went green then amber the next second. it stayed like that then it started to blink amber. Then i opened my airport utility so i can configure it but the utility wont find it, i try to reset it but it still wont work.

MacBook cant find AirPort Express

Hi all,
Now i'm not sure if i should post this one under macbook section or not but i'll give it a shot here.
My problem is that suddenly the other day my macbook lost it's connection to my airport express. It could find all the other wireless networks in my buildig but not the airport. Now i have a laptop pc at home that finds it without any problems.
I've tried to reboot the airport a couple of times and even a hard reboot realeasing all its settings but still no luck in finding it, the pc does though.
I've also tried to change the settings on my macbook also so its doesn't have any pre-selected networks or anything but nothing. It's like it totally ignores to find just this airport express.
Since i've tried to disconnect, reboot, unplug everything a couple of times and every time successfully connected to the airport from my pc i kind of narrowed it down that its something with my macbook. But what? Since i see other networks?
I'm really stuck here so any help is really appreciated.

I had similar issues a while back, and the solution was to upgrade the firmware (which I needed to do because a new iTunes version apparently needed new firmware). This fixed it for me.
If this is not your issue, Apple - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2278 - is suggesting maybe its a firewall issue. Read the attached link and see if that helps.

Help...Now Imac cant find Airport Express

I just bought my first Imac. I am using wireless internet via 2wire modem and router. I am trying to hook up airport express only to play itunes wirelessly. I can use the internet, but the Imac will recognize the airport express only by itself not as part of the other network. I have tried to restart and reset it. It will only work by itself and now with internet. any help?

Try doing a hard reset of the AX.
You can also try temporarily connecting the AX via Ethernet to your computer to configure the AX.

Sort of if you can get hold of the iPod before it is erased, turn wifi off, then backup the iPod, turn wifi on and let it erase. Then restore from backup.

Is there any way to locate an iPod touch when find my iPhone has been downloaded to it but not switched on this same iPod touch?

Maybe I haven't been precise enough in the first question: When the ipod touch is in the universal doc and plays music, is it htan possible possible to stream music to an APE and hear music that comes from universal doc by chinch cable?
And on the scond: Do you think one could name the two APE in the very same way? Maybe that would help to stream to two APE in the very same moment ..?

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

From your description it appears that the iPod is on like it showing something on the screen. In that case let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try a rest restore and other things again.
If the iPod returns to the same conditions then it is time for an appoitment at the Genious Bar of an Apple store.

IPod Touch Connecting Through Airport with Access Control

Assistance requested.
I want to connect my iPod Touch to my Airport wireless network. I have access controlled to my wireless network so that only devices with an Airport ID specified in the Airport configuration may connect to my wireless network.
Does the iPod Touch have an Airport ID that I can enter into my Airport configuration? I realy do not want to make my wireless network open to anyone.

Thank you for the contribution. I found my own answer with some searching on the iPod. This was my solution in case somebody else is having a similar problem.
Required address (Airport ID) of the iPod was found as follows:
Settings
General
About
Wi-Fi Address
Added the Wi-Fi Address to my Airport Access Control List.
On the iPod performed the following:
Settings
Wi-Fi
Choose Another Network
Typed in the wireless network name (case-sensitive)
Selected the proper security protocall
Typed in the password to access my Airport Network
Click Join
Problems connecting were resolved and my network remained closed to people not pre-approved to access it.

Airport Tool cant find my Express.. HELP!

Just mended an old b/g Airport Express because the power supply was broken.
I set it up so it would extend my wireless network with the Airport Extreme and everything worked just fine. Later i tried to set up Airfoil but Airfoil could never find the Express.
So i tried to update the firmware to the same as it was, I waited for it for 15 minutes but it was still saying something like "updating firmware" in the Airport Utility. So i disconnected the power and hoped I could try again. *BUT.... Now it never shows up in Airport Utility.*
What can i do?

I suggest that you perform a Factory Default Reset on the AirPort Express and then try to update or reconfigure it.
Power the Express off for at least 10 minutes
Hold in the reset button and while you continue to hold the reset button in, plug the Express back in to power
Keep holding the reset button until you see the amber light begin to blink more quickly, keep holding another second or two when you see this, and then release the reset button.
Temporarily, connect an ethernet cable from your computer to the AirPort Express and then open AirPort Utility to update the firmware as needed or reconfigure the device. You can disconnect the ethernet cable after you have the Express updated with new settings and then move the Express to the location where it's needed.
