Ipod touch cant on and cant do anything.
it happen when i was playing it suddenly it turn white....the screen turn white and then it off....i tried to on it but still it did not respond...then it started to fell hot...very hot....till now my ipod still could not on.... help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Begin troubleshooting by performing a [RESTART/RESET|http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/assistant/ipodtouch/#section_2]. This should bring the screen back to life and if not then we may have a hardware issue.
If the above doesn't work the perform a [RESTORE|http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/assistant/ipodtouch/#section_5]. Please note that RESTORE will erase all of your installed data and set the iPod Touch to the factory state. You will then need to reinstall all your music, videos etc.
If the Restore does not work then the issue is most definitely in the hardware and at that point a trip to the local Apple Store is warranted.

Not the the 2G can only see/connec to the b and g wifi bands. It does not see any n band networks. -

I bought a mic for my ipod touch 2nd gen and the mic works yet when its plugged in the speakers dont work, meaning i cant hear, so skype and other similar apps are un-useable, is there a way in which the mic and speakers will both work together?
Looking at the details for this mic, it appears that the app has to have the option to use the internal specak when a mic is plugged into the headphone jack. Specifically:
NOTE: When MityMic is plugged into your iPod/iPhone you won’t be able to use the onboard speaker for sound output. You must remove the MityMic then play back your recordings. (The Skype app has an option to enable the onboard speaker even when the mic is plugged in, so you could use MityMic for placing Skype calls. However most other apps do not have this function.)

Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF

From your description it appears that the iPod is on like it showing something on the screen. In that case let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try a rest restore and other things again.

My daughter has a new ipod touch (5th gen) and is trying to set up icloud so she can have facetime and imessage. it won't let her sign in using the existing apple id and account i have. the device said an email verification was sent, and it wasn't received. i did verify that i had typed in the correct email, not only once, but twice. any suggestions?

Does your daughter already have an Apple ID? She will need one (which is her primary email address) to keep her Facetime, iMessage, Calendars, Contacts, etc. separate from yours. (Also, verification emails may sometimes end up in your Junk or Spam folders, so be sure to check those).

HELP! We have several Apple devices in our household (2 iPHOnes, 2 IPOD touch, 1 iPAD), and cannot get them to work correctly becuase my two children have to be under my creditcard and apple account. When I do this they cannot send me messages or facetime me, and when then try to do so with their friends it says my name and IPhone. Also, my husband and I want two seperate credit cards for iTUNEs but want to take advantage of the home share, but the one computer we have will not let us share. and had to have 2 apple ids created. WHy is this so confusing? Cant I reset everything under my Apple ID, and allow everyone to have their own email accounts and identity? ON top of all this, I have two AppleIDs, because my original one was a yahoo account and they changed over to me.com, now icloud.com/ HELP

So recently, I have had MAJOR problems with my iPod touch (not jailbroken) and they're driving me INTO INSANITY!!! So, a few weeks ago, I added a movie I downloaded onto my iTunes. All **** broke loose from there. At first I wasn't able to sync. My iPod was detected but it wouldn't sync unless I restored it. Later, it began to not sync unless I plugged it into my computer without iTunes up. iTunes began to freeze and become unresponsive. When it froze, it would began to actually sync, just not say. Then it began to not sync at all, and now I can't do anything.
I am at my witts end. I am deperate. I have tried averything under the sun from deleteing practically everything on my iTunes to updating iTunes to trying to reset Bonjour. Down below are links to every problem I have. They keep piling on each other to where I can't find just one post to describe. And these people decribe it better than I do. Can anyone help? I don't want to have to reset iTunes or re-install. I have precious apps that NEED to be backed up.
