Ipod touch connected to wifi but will not work

Hey guys, my wifi connect has gone a bit strange, i can connect to my router but none of the internet based apps will work, cannt connect to Safari or Apps store. Iv tried everything iv even restored to factory settings and lost all my data in the process. My router works fine with fellow ipods and laptops, it just isnt connecting to mine! Any Help Please im pulling my hair out!

Your router may not have given your iPod a valid IP address when the iPod requested it. To check on this go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address shown starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix for this can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPod (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

My MacBook Pro will connect to WiFi but will not work in one location but will at others. I have the same issue with my IPhone 4S at the same location.

My MacBook Pro will connect to Wifi at one location (this is a secure location) but will not allow access to the internet. I will put in the password but will not display page. Other wifi capable devises do not have this issue but my Mac and my Iphone 4S will not work. I have tried restarting the router. All other wifi locations I have been to have not had this issue. Any suggestions? I am realtively new to Apple products (less than a year) so any advise is greatly appreciated.

The other devices that are working got on with the same password. It says it is connected. Just nothing works on the internet.

My itouch is connected to wifi but will not allow me to access the interent, why?

My iPod touch is connected to wifi but I can't get online to the app store or anything, my lap top and my brother's iPod touch are able to connect to the wifi. Macbook will connect to wifi but will not connect to internet

Lately I've been experiencing an issue with my internet, my computer will connect to wifi, but the internet will not work. I have tried multiple wifi networks, and sometimes the internet works but it is slow, or sometimes it won't work at all. For whatever reason apple.com is the only one working at the moment.. how convienent.. I have rebooted my laptop, the router and my operating system is up to date. Please help!! I'm a college student and internet is crucial for one of my classes!

Check proxies ...
Open System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies
Deselect any checked boxes on the left then click OK.
Relaunch your browser to test.
And make sure the firewall is off. System Preferences > Securty & Privacy > Firewall
If it's on, you may need to click the lock icon to turn if off. You may be prompted for your admin password.

I really need help, my ipod shows to connect to the WiFi but then it will not let me use the interent it says no connection but according to my screen i have WiFi connection, i am very confused an i would really appriciate it if someone could help me sort out this problem so i can start using my iPod for work again.

Even though the iPod shows as been connected, it might not have actually received a valid IP address via DHCP from your Wi-Fi access point or router. Head to Settings -> Wi-Fi and tap the > next to the network you are connected. If 169.xxx.xxx.xxx is listed for an IP Address, then your iPod did not receive a valid IP address. To correct this you can reboot your router by unplugging it from power for about 30 seconds.
It wouldn't hurt to also reset your iPod. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

My ipod touch connects to wifi but can't connect to the server.

Ok, so my ipod youch says it's connected to the wifi but when i try to get on the internet it says it can't connect to the server. I've looked and there's alot of answers but they're all soooooooooooooo complicated. I'm like 14, so whoever can answer this, please use small words.
I've noticed in alot of the answers they talk about your IP adress, if it's any consilation mine starts with 169. No matter where I go, if it's at home, or at starbucks or a hotel.

Have you tried restoring your iPod touch in iTunes?
You may just be trying to connect to "Printer Networks" that allow a company/residence to print something from their printer wirelessly, it would appear on your iPod touch just about the same as any other network, but you wouldn't be able to use internet while connected to that network...
If you are talking about "free wifi" in a Cafe, like Starbucks, you will usually need to open Safari. A Page will load and tell you how to connect to their internet, whether it's by paying, or just agreeing to their terms...
Like, I said, if that isn't the problem, try restoring your iPod touch in iTunes...

Iphone 5c is connected to Wifi but will not connect to internet

Have had my Iphone for a year now and have never had this issue before. The device shows I am connected to the wifi but tells me it cannot connect
to the internet. Any ideas?

I know having wifi connection is important to your data usage amlaco. I'm sorry you're not able to use the internet . Have you tried to disable your wifi connection and renable it? Are you connected to your home wifi? Have you contacted your internet provider that is connected to your wifi?

My iPod Touch 4G Lock/Sleep Button Will Not Work

I recently had an incident with my iPod Touch 4G where the screen was shattered to the point of no use. I sent my iPod Touch off to a Non Apple repair place (good example of why you should NEVER do this) due to me not having enough money to get apple to fix it and there not being a warranty on my device. When I got it back everything is working except for the lock/Sleep button. I asked about it and the person I had repair it said that he could not find what was wrong with it. Is there any way that I can fix this without paying a large price or am I never going to be able to get this fixed? I cant turn it on without plugging it in, lock it, or unlock it and it is really annoying and I am thinking about just getting rid of it if I can't get it fixed.
"Note: I have tried a full restore 2 times and it did not fix the issue. I also had the person check all the ribbon cables and they are all fine and correctly attached."

My iPod Touch 4G's front camera will not work at all.

The back camera is perfectly fine but once as I switch to the front camera it either goes all black or the shutter wont open. Help

Connected to internet but will not work.

Hello friends i have gotten an iphone from a friend yesterday. I have yet to get it activated so im just using it on wifi for now. turned it on connected it to my home wifi and had no issues smooth sailing. I later that night went out to eat and connected to the wifi at Friday's, the place we went to eat. It made me connect to their wifi and for every app that i opened like snapchat, twtitter and instagram it opened what seemed to be a web browser page. and on the page it made me click accept to what seemed to just be a simple * agree to connect to our wifi etc. etc.* so i did and again everything went fine i could use the wifi perfectly.
now the issue that i'm having is i came home and try to open twitter, instagram and snapchat again and a message comes up saying
"Could not Connect" please check your connection and try again.
i'm not sure if what i did at dinner last night with their wifi has anything to do with the issue i'm having now but it seems to be to much of a coincidence that i had no issues, do all that for their wifi come home and am now having issues. but i CAN use safari on the iphone but for EVERY website i attempt to go to while connecting to the webpage and before finishing brings up a message saying
"Cannot Verify Server Identity" safari cannot verify the identity of "www.google.com". would you like to continue anyway?
with the options of Cancel, Details or Continue if i click continue it loads the page but what seems to be a broken version of the page i'm looking to connect to.
any help would be great i hope i put in enough detail i tried not to miss anything so i can get the best input from you friends i'm all ears!

No, it shouldn't have any effect at all. There is such a thing as a coincidence.
Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? If that doesn't work, try Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. I will delete all of your saved WiFi passwords but nothing else.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
