IPod touch display mirroring

Is ity possable to mirror an iPod touch's display using airplay? HDMI? is there a way to mirrorit on the screen of a computer?

No. No iPods support mirroring the iPOd's screen.  It only works with the iPad 2 and later and iPhone 4 or later. It needs a better processor/more memory than the iPod has.

  • HT201263 after restarting and restoring ipod touch, display is still white screen

after restarting and restoring ipod touch, display is still white screen. I have done this several times. One time, the display went to the home screen, but immediately went back to the white screen when I plugged it into the charge cord. The music continued to play however. help!

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store..

  • TS2771 My Ipod touch displays white lines across the screen.  I've turned it on and off but still shows up HELP!!!

My Ipod touch displays white lines across my entire screen.  I've turned it on and off and it still hasn't cleared up.HELP!?!

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have the problem that points to a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • TS2446 Ipod touch displays "Your Apple ID has been disabled" when attempting to update Apps.

How do I work through "Your Apple ID has been disabled" on an Ipod Touch?
My child's Ipod touch displays "Your Apple ID has been disabled" when attempting to update game Apps.  I have reset the password, and reset the Ipod to factory settings; did not resolve.  This began by entering wrong Apple ID password multiple times.  Thank you.

  • IPod touch displaying wrong thumbnails

    guys,
My iPod touch has started to display the wrong album art thumbnails recently and I can't find anything on how to fix this. I routinely download podcasts and add my own music and videos to iTunes and in iTunes everything displays correctly. Once I sync my iPod to the computer it takes album art from music and transposes it with the video thumbnails and vice versa, sometimes I'll end up with a music file with album art that is the screen clip from a video pod cast and other such errors. Is there any way to correct this?

    When did this start happening?
First, make sure your date/time are correct on the computer you're syncing with.
Next, you might try erasing the backup of your iPod and then resyncing your iPod. To do this go to Edit> Preferences> Devices. Select your iPod from the list and click Remove Backup. Close iTunes. Re-open it. Sync the iPod again. A new backup should be created.

  • IPod Touch displaying white screen

I went on an app [called My Horse] and it displayed the loading screen like usual, then it froze like it has before, usually resetting the my ipod works to fix it. I set it down gently to let it load, and it suddenly displayed a white screen, then a opaque black overlay went over the light.
I tried holding the lock/unlock and the home button for at least two minutes, and it still didn't do anything.
I hooked it up to itunes, itunes doesn't register the fact that it's plugged in.
Any ideas of what's wrong? Is it completly dead?
It's not jailbroken and nothing has been messed with, I usually only visit wikipedia and twitter and use it for listening to pandora on it.
It's been sitting on a white screen for a while now
I really don't want to reset it, and I couldn't anyway because itunes won't register it as plugged up.

Try the white-screen topic of the following. However, it is frequently a hardware problem.

  • Ipod touch display issue--default page size larger than display

When any page appears on the display, whether 'enter passcode' page, the homepages, or app pages, the page momentarily appears at the true (display) size, then increases in size so that the display shows only about 80% of the page.  Pinching has no effect on sizing, but finger swipes will move page within the display frame.  This first occurred today after about 6 months of ownership.  Any thoughts?

Tap the screen twice with three fingers to get to normal screen. Then go to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn off Zoom. Also see:

  • My iPod touchis displaying iPod is disabled connect to iTunes

my iPod touch is displaying iPod disabled connect to iTunes i have tried this but it wont let me acess this any suggestions please?

If it's showing the red disabled screen, then in order to allow your computer's iTunes to reset it you may need to put it into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPod and restore/resync your content to it
If you are doing it via a computer that it isn't normally synced to then (from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) :
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

  • Ipod touch display goes white

Sometimes, while accidently putting pressure on certain parts of my ipod touch, the screen blanks out, like the display was disconnected somehow. This is temporarily solved when I press down on the space above the screen, but after a while it happens again. Any suggestions?

Yes, it the iPod is deffective (it sounds like it is) and the iPod has not been abused.  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Aplle store and find out.  If defective and not abused you should walk out with a replacement.

  • IPod Touch displaying only half-screen album art

    Hey all,
I'm using an iTouch 1G, and I love it. Unfortunately, over the past few weeks, iTunes seems to have a problem putting the album art for songs onto my iPod Touch.
Here's an image of what it looks like:
The bottom half of the image is missing, and it does not appear at all when in coverflow mode.
There doesn't seem to be any specific pattern to the errors, either. This problem occurs with both tracks purchased from iTunes, (such as this image, specifically) and with other tracks that I rip from CDs, and even some that I import the image from.
When browsing some of the other topics related to this problem, many people suggested using a high res image for the album art, but I can assure you that I have 300x300 min for the art that I have downloaded, and even then, it doesn't explain why PURCHASED music has the same problem.
I'm just throwing this out here to see if anyone else is having this problem, and if anyone knows what to do to fix it?
Maybe its a bug in iTunes; by which case- Please be aware that this is a problem!
    Thanks!
    Tom

    Hello, Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Is the Album Artwork showing up correctly in iTunes? Are you using the latest iTunes Software on Windows & latest iPod Touch Update?

  • IPod touch displaying "restore" symbol

I haven't used my iPod for a few months and I just plugged it into my computer to charge it and noticed the iTunes icon and a USB cable on the screen. And on my iTunes it's asking me if I'd like to restore it to factory settings. There's only a "restore" button.
Does this mean i have to restore?? Is there a way around this? I wouldn't want to lose everything on my iPod touch.
Also, right when i plugged it into my computer i got the following message:
"iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes".
I really hope there's something that can be done about this.
    Please help.
    Thanks!

the same thing is happening to me, i really need some help with this

  • My iPod touch displays a iTunes and USB cord picture.

Tried to update to ios 6 and got the iTunes logo with the USB cord picture on the screen.  Tried to restore and is frozen.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Ipod Touch Display Issue

Turned on the iPod this morning and the display continously "shimmies".  Doesn't do it on installed games, but does so on SKYPE, youtube and other factory installed apps.
Anyone else having this issue?  Any resolutions?

    Hi,
Try restoring your iPod to its factory settings and see if this works.
