Ipod touch does not work with hex from sharper image

I just bought an ipod docking/speaker from sharper image (Hex) for my ipod touch. My ipod does not work on it. I have also had problems playing my ipod touch music on ihome products - works on some but does not work on others. Is it my ipod touch. thanks.

Some docks are not compatible with iOS 5. Ceeck with the manufacturer. Other users have post problems with iOS 5 and iHome docks too.

Have lots of issues with Fords MySync and here's some info that might help....
Using ford sync interface, goto the phone section, then settings, and look if your iPhones name is listed, if so select the phone name thru sync interface and remove/delete it from the sync list, then go thru the Bluetooth pairing process again.
If that doesn't work, do the same on the iPhone, select ford sync entry in Bluetooth and remove sync or forget this device on the iPhone and then go thru Bluetooth pairing again.
If that doesn't work Power off iphone ( not sleep) hold power button till you see red slider to power off. Then restart iphone, try pairing up again.
If that doesn't work go back to MySync and goto phone settings and use the up-down slider till you see sync master reset. Confirm then go thru BT pairing again.
If that doesn't work there is a fuse for the my sync system. Fuse box is usually behind kick panel of front passenger seat side for the Mustang #3, its behind a paper black cover. Remove fuse for 5-30 secs then replace.
Lastly, make sure your MySync Firmware is the latest vers. Mines 4.0.2 goto fords MySync support page to check

A google search might help for your model and year if not a newer mustang and you couldn't get to ford.

Downloaded 6.1.3 and IPOD does not work in previous working sound docks. Cannot charge inthose docks now either. They worked fine before download

Reset the dock
See if there is a firmware update available for the dock

Make sure you are entering the events on your iPod in the iCloud calendar and not something else such as On My iPod. Check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the Calendars section) to be sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default.

If after you charge it for about three hours and it only last about five minutes the battery is probably dead or there could be another hardware problem. I would go back to the Apple store and ask them specifically how can it be OK if the fully charged battery only lasts five minutes.

Ipod touch equalizer not working with radio

My first Apple device just purchased today. The ipod Touch 8GB Generation 4. The first thing I did was downdoad Tunein to listen to radio. I noticed the preloaded Apple equalizer with presets does not work. Is this normal with radio or this app. Does the equalizer only work with itunes music player? Thanks

It's a bookshelf stereo system with an output channel so I have a Logitech Jukebox Internet Radio hooked up to it and it works fine but the iPod Touch ..... nada happens when I plug in the output cable to it.

In order to use iMessage efficiently, add the country code to the mobile number prefix by of your contact and their iMessage ID. Ipod 4g does not work with gps mount anymore, with iOS lower than 6.0.1 it worked

After updating my iPod to iOS 6.0.1 and 6.1 my gps mount does not work anymore. It used to work perfectly.
Have checked with a TomTom app if satelites are connected and it has good connection but navigation app does not work.
All advices given in the community did not help so far.

Why is my ipod touch 5 not working with itunes? It says it needs to update to itunes 10.7 or later.

You need to be running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer to sync it. If you're using Mac OS X 10.6 through 10.6.7, run Software Update twice. If you're running Mac OS X 10.5.8 or earlier and have an Intel Mac, buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store.

IPOD Touch does not sync with Address Book

Hello,
I recently purchased a 16GB iPOD Touch. I synced with itunes on my Mac successfully (10.5.1), however i am unable to get my Address Book to sync with the iPOD
Any ideas - i have enabled iTunes/iPOD to sync with my Address Book when i connect my iPOD, but no joy.

I can no longer sync my iPod Touch with my Address Book. I'm not sure if this started after I updated iTunes (now at 7.6.2), but the two no longer sync. I tried clicking the advanced option (Info tab in iTunes) to copy over all contacts to my iPod, but nothing changed. I tried the advice to check only a few groups, and it did remove the other groups. So I tried reducing the # of groups I was using.... Then when I checked sync all contacts again, all the old groups showed up again on my iPod, that no longer existed in my Address Book. Strange! Also frustrating and time-consuming.
I don't think this question is "answered" yet. Has anyone found a solution? How do you notify Apple of this type of problem?

My line in does not work with output from my ipod

I hooked my ipod up to the line in and changed the sound pref's to line in. No sound comes from the speakers, YET, I see the volume graph on the sound prefs at high levels. I then checked garage band. even though I can record the sound from my ipod using the line in, it does not play as it's recording in garage band, HOWEVER, when I play the track back it DOES play. I have the volume up on my IPOD classic, and it plays thru any other output source.
Then I plugged my radio's output port (amplified) into the port, and it still does not output thru either the line out port OR the built in speakers. NOTHING I plug into the line in port will make sound out of the computer (either speaker setting), YET, the volume adjustment definately shows that there is sound coming into the computer. And as I've stated above, when I record the "silent" input from the line in, I can then play it back and HEAR the songs.
This is very strange and I need it fixed...
YES: I've changed the sound pref settings to LINE IN
YES: I've played with the settings of garage band's audio
YES: I've rebooted
nothing makes it work.
Sure looking for a solution.

Please do not give this any thought. I was such a dummy.. duh, you have to have something running to PLAY the input!!! I thought the Monitor was on in garage band, and found it was not.....

i have windows 7 and wen i updated my itunes from itunes 9 to the latest version of itunes 10.5 i had a hard time getting itunes to open
but now that i finally got itunes open and updated it says that my ipod can not be found because the required software
is not found i have unistalled and reinstalled itunes more then 10x now and each time my computer is able to reconize my ipod
but my itunes doesnt i am completely at my witts end on how to fix this

pss. can anyone explain what a 64-bit is the faq box says i have to install that version but i got my itunes off of the itunes website

Same here, iTunes otherwise works just fine. Plug in iPod Touch (32GB from fall of last year, iOS v4.3.5), iTunes locks up and eventually crashes. iPod never chimes in that it's connected and charging and shows up in device list in iTunes, but never enters sync mode.
PowerBook G4, Mac OS 10.5.8 with 2GB of RAM. Tryed re-installing iTunes 10.5, restarting, rebuilding permissions, nothing worked. Worked just fine last week. Also links up just fine with a Windoze 7 laptop running iTunes 10.5 (but it's not one that I sync with.).
Bummer, I was really looking forward to iOS 5, but now will have no way to install it untill Apple fixes 10.5.
