IPod touch - Everything went wrong at once!

I've had my iPod for a few years now, it's been my best friend all of the time, but about a week or so ago, the audio went a bit scratchy, and even though the earphones worked perfectly with anything else, the iPod wouldn't play through both earphones, only one. This didn't bother me because I have a spare pair of bluetooth headphones, which plug directly into the bottom, not the audio jack.
Then recently, my iPod started turning off for no reason, the battery showing as full in iTunes, then on the iPod showing just about 20%.
Then, the touch screen completely broke, the image was still there, all other buttons worked fine, but the screen was unresponsive. I reset my iPod, restored it and still no luck.
At one point, after that, when I plugged the iPod into my computer, it loaded in iTunes, then ejected itself, now it won't turn on, show in iTunes, or respond to anything. I've tried everything I can, now my iPod is just a useless, unresponsive shiny metal brick.
I am desperate to get my iPod back, but could Apple help with the problem, or will I have to buy a brand new iPod touch? I love Apple products, I have 3 macs and a MacBook in my house, and I hope there's some kind of solution...

When I read something like "the screen completely broke," I get the sense that any number of things may be wrong, from a weak battery to a hardware failure; you've already reset the Touch. If you don't get a reading from a wall connection, I'd suggest visiting your local Apple Store/Genius Bar to get a sense for what repairs, if any, are possible.
Your other option would be to contact a third part like Milliamp, which evaluates and repairs failed iPods at reasonable rates.

Hello! I really appreciate if anyone would tell me what's wrong with my iPod touch.
I have been using my iPod touch for less than a year, and honestly, I have quite a bad habit: I always use it for playing games. And sometimes, I even use it while it is charging. Usually it's fine, nothing went wrong, so I keep doing the same thing sometimes.
one day, I'm visiting my relative and tried to charge my iPod. Since my iPod doesn't have an adaptor, I usually charge it using my laptop (the seller told me to charge it in a laptop/computer). But the next day, I found out that my iPod went off by itself and I know that my battery isn't low.
I Tried to charge it using my laptop at home, but it still went off! Also, it went normal in my laptop (the iTunes appeared automatically, as a sign that my iPod is charging). So, I tried to restore it and I worked (at least I thought so), until I saw my screen went fuzzy (pink and white stripes). So, almost everyday I turn off my iPod, turn it on again, wait for a while, then use it normally. Usually it lasts 'normal' for hours, but it will still be error as usual.
So, my question is:
What makes my iPod touch screen went fuzzy?
Is it because I used it while charging?
Is it because I charged it with an adaptor that is not made for Apple products?
please help me, I don't know what else to do! I have restored it, I didn't download many applications like I used to before, and I left it alone when I was charging (I didn't play it while it's charging any more), and I even didn't turn on the Wi-Fi if I'm not using it (I almost NEVER turn off the Wi-Fi before my iPod touch went error)

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Ipod works with Itunes fine (can put music and podcasts on the ipod), but can't take songs off of the ipod. Using windows xp and everything is up to date. Any ideas of how to fix it?

I didn't know that it was posted three times. My computer didn't say that it posted anything.
My ipod still syncs to itunes and I can put podcasts and music on my ipod, but I can't delete songs after I put them on the ipod. When I try to delete songs I try to delete it from the main music list on the ipod. It's also doing all the other stuff that I posted before. The screen will go black and then the power off slider thing shows up for a few seconds, then it'll show the unlock slider bar. Then goes black again. It will also do that when I have the ipod unocked and changing songs or playing a game. I've restored it to the factory default/new ipod and it still does the same thing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and then restored it again to the factory default and it's still doing the same exact thing. I checked and my computer is up to date.

Did the iPod get wet by the hair product and probably cause a problem due to the liquid or is there some thing on the front camera lens that prevents the camera from seeing? How does the camera not work?
If liquid damage I doubt YOU can fix it but you can have Apple fix it or a third-party place. If lens is obstructed you may be able to polish the area.

If you do not have dupicate songs on the iPod then:
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

IPod Touch 4G Went Through Washing Machine

Hey Guys!
My iPod Touch 4G went through the washing machine (It was in my pants pocket, forgot to check.) and after 5 days in rice, i just turned it on and it works fine. It was dead when it went into the wash. The only problem is that there is a Water Blotch thing in the top right corner of the screen, pretty annoying. Any way to fix this? I am restoring it right now, and when it is done i will post a picture.

The 90% would dry it fine but risk damaging the iPod. Also since the outer glass and LCD screen a re bonded as one unit it would be hard for the alcohol to get in and then then be able to evaporate. It would seem that the bonding between the outer glass and LCD screen has an unbonded are that let the water in. The washing machine action is great at getting the water in through that unbond area. But it would tke a lot of time for the it to evaporate through the unbond area.

Registering an ipod touch that went 1 month without backup?

Daughter got brand new ipod for 13th bday. I set it up for her on her brand new email and brand new apple ID. and opted out of icloud and registering at first. She went to town on wifi, lots of apps, took pictures, created artwork, loves her ipod for 1 month. Never used itunes for anything, she was able to do everything she wanted without itunes. But then... I bought her some songs for an upcoming road trip. They went into the iTunes library, great. When I plugged in her ipod to synch them, no device appeared in itunes. Windows sees it, but gives it the same name as her older sister's ipod which is weird because older sister still uses that ipod which is not connected. I realized I bought songs into my itunes acct (so that's 3 apple ids for 3 ipods, all running on 1 windows PC) so I'm bound to get beiber fever now. So I sign my apple id out of itunes and sign back in with her apple id to re-purchase the same songs again. Live and learn, us android guys are dumb like that. So now I'm signed into iTunes with her apple id, I still see the cool 80's songs ripped from my CD's, the new purchased beiber songs, and older sister's purchased songs too, but I'm signed in with the youngest's apple id, I don't get that, but will research how all the apple DRM works some other weekend when I have time. With her ipod connected there were still no devices listed in the left column of itunes,so I stopped/started the Apple Mobile service and restarted itunes and it popped up so I'm thinking now I can drag/drop songs to it. But no, it wants me to register the ipod now.
Here's my question:
Only options are "set up as new ipod" or "restore from backup". There is no backup for this newest ipod since purchasing and using it, but I see backups available for me and the older daughter. I figure those are bad choices. "Set up as new ipod" sounds bad to me as well, it sounds like all the photos, apps and saved files will be lost. So only option is to exit itunes. I have searched this forum and manuals but can't determine if "set up as new" is going to blow away all data on the device that was used prior to resigtering and make it a factory-fresh device with all the data wiped clean. I know I mentioned I'm an android guy, but don't hate, I do own an ipod touch. Actually it's my 2nd ipod, my classic went PVS. I'm just new to multiple users, DRM roadblocks, and this problem of using the ipod before registering it. Thanks for your time. No rush. Road trip is in a few days.

My daughter connected her ipod touch to sync and it reset itself. When she went through the steps she entered in the wrong email to verify. Now I can't get it to go to itunes without verifying the email address. Does anyone have any ideas in where to start to fix this?

It appears that the update made the iPd incompatible with the Sony dock. Try contacting Sony. Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.

By resetting did you see the apple logo? Try pressing and holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until the screen goes blank (black) and you see the apple logo. It should take about 10-15 seconds to reset.

I am not sure if I know enough about iPod's to be able to help you completely but I can offer a few suggestions. First of all, you can try restarting your iPod (by holding the OFF button and the HOME button at the same time for a long period of time.) If that doesn't work then you could try connecting your iPod up to your computer and if it shows up on iTunes you can RESET your iPod. Hope that helped a little!
