IPod touch failed to publish video?

iOS 6.1.3 iPod touch 4G it always says failed to publish 'name of video' please help

You might want to check your system settings on your iPod Touch.  Under the About tab, look at how much free space you have on the iPod touch.

  • If you have a video in camera roll on the ipod touch is it only videos taken with the actual ipod or is it possible to transfer videos from your computer to the camera roll?

If you have a video in camera roll on the ipod touch is it only videos taken with the actual ipod or is it possible to transfer videos from your computer to the camera roll? The ipod touch was bought in feb. 2011

You can transfer videos from your computer to the iPod Touch, but not to the Camera Roll.
The Camera Roll is for temporary storage only - for photos/videos captured by the iPod Touch and for photos saved from a received email or from a website. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.

  • IPod Touch won't download videos onto my MacBook with image capture..

My ipod Touch won't download videos I took with the Photo app onto my MacBook.  Is this a memory problem?  The videos play fine on the iPod but I can;t get them off of it.  Thanks.

    - Could it be that the ones that can't be viewed are really too big of a file size and thus can't really be emailed?
    - Is there any pattern to the computer OS and email program your friends are using?

  • Which iPod touch for 60 fps video?

    Hi,
After searching and checking iPod touch specs, I can't find which iPod touch allows to record video at 60 frames per sec ?
I've seen iOs7 supported 60 fps but in the iPod touch details, it says up to 30fps ?
Any infos will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

I only know that only the iPhone 5 can do 60 fps at 1080p, but only with third-party camera apps from the App Store.
I strongly recommend the 5th generation iPod touch with the 5-megapixel iSight camera. (This is the same camera as the iPhone 5 has, but limited to 5MP instead of 8). CPU may also be a factor.
If you really want to do slow motion, get the iPhone 5s, but other that that, go for the 5th gen.

Now You lost me (without using a computer?) - Most probably due to that I've not got an iPod Touch but mine is seven Years old - so it most probably work in a totally different way.

    See:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Do y have XP? if so see that topic in the above link,
Can you go to My Computer>iPod>DCIM folder and copy it from there?
Windows XP can't import video files larger than 500 MB using Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can transfer these files from your device by selecting them in My Computer and dragging or copying the files to your computer's hard drive.

  • New iPod Touch-want to load videos created using Final Cut Studio

I'm unable to transfer movies I create on my Mac into the iPod Touch. I'm assuming all transfers to the iPod need to go through iTunes - is this correct?
I created a video in Final Cut Pro, then compressed two versions of podcasts in Compressor.
H.264 for iPod video and iPhone 320x320(QVGA)
H.264 for iPod video and iPhone 640x640(QVGA)
I then dragged them into iTunes library, thinking they would go into the Podcast folder, but instead they went to the Movie folder.
I synced to the iPod, and they fail to transfer/load. I then selected "Create iPod or iPhone Version" from the iTunes "Advanced" menu in case there was some file issue, but was unsuccessful in dragging it to the Podcast folder.
Does the iPod Touch sync up to all iTune's folders, or, is it limited to what's in the Podcast folder?
Is there a utility that exists to verify the video files are of the correct format.
Are there other steps I am missing?

For anyone else in the same situation - videos created in Final Cut Pro and compressed using either of the Compressor settings will create podcasts that can be synced up and play on the iPod Touch,
The problem was the "Sync Movies" setting - it was disabled. The challenge was finding the settings, and wouldn't have been an issue prior to release of version 3.0 software upgrade notice.
The "Sync" settings were where I first looked, from within iTunes, but as I said, the device settings were being hidden by an "Apple commercial" for the version 3.0 software upgrade - once I clicked on "Remind Me Later" I was able to see the 8 tabbed configuration screen. I guess marketing trumps usability.

  • The update installation on my iPod touch failed and erased everything.

I plugged in my iPod touch (1st generation)into my computer and opened iTunes. A message popped up saying that there was a new update for my iPod, so i clicked on the download and install button. I downloaded the update and while it was installing, another message popped up saying the installation failed. so I was like ok I'll just click on the download again and reinstall it. But now my iPod wasn't showing on iTunes. I disconnected it and reconnected it and my iPod still didn't show. Then I noticed that the download wasn't there either. I turned on my iPod and all it showed was a picture with a connection cord pointing up to the iTunes logo. I think that the failed update installation must have completely erased my iPod touch's software. I have tried looking for the update download all over my computer but found nothing. what do I do now? Is there a way for me to download the software again or something? thank you

Thanks Jason, I will try the troubleshooting steps. Will they still work even if my iPod touch isn't even being recognized as an iPod by iTunes or my computer?
If the iPod is not recognized and cannot be restored from the other user account, try the tips in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1852
You can quickly isolate the issue by trying to restore from another computer.
If the issue is not present on another computer try the tips in the article above.
If the iPod touch has the same issue on another computer, it may need repair.

  • IPod touch no longer playing video podcast

Hi there...bit new to all this so please bear with me.
Since getting my iPod touch at xmas I have been enjoying a weekly video podcast...it downloaded to my iPod either via iTunes or by by iTunes wi-fi on the touch and I had no problems.
All of a sudden if I download via iTunes that "podcast will not be transferred to iPod because of file format incompatability" and if I download direct to iPod via wi-fi it will play the audio with a Quicktime logo in the backgroud. All highly annoying.
I have read the solutions on these boards about getting iTunes to convert the podcast and thats fine - but takes ages!
I just don't understand why it used to work - and now doesn't!
The upgrade to version 2.2.1 (which i did this morning) hasn't made any difference at all...
Hope someone can help me with this.

First go to Sony's support site. and see if there is a firmware update or other information for your dock.
    Sometimes this works:
    Reset the dock
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility and y will hae to wait for an update to fix the problem

  • IPod touch TV OUT (no video/only audio)

I got a McAlly AV Cable (composite cable: Yellow,White,Red) and connected my iPod touch to my TV (4:3 not widescreen) directly.
But, I can only get audio and no video.
My setting on iPod touch ...
    WideScreen: off
TV signal: NTSC (I'm in the US).
Has anyone been able to watch video on non-widescreen tv using a generic (non-apple) composite cable in the US?

You have to get Apple cables since there is no support for mini jack video. Apple put an encryption on the cables made by them here:

  • How to make iPod touch to have dual-video-out (device & TV)?

I have been looking for a way to do this and maybe someone out there knows how to make and iPod touch do it!?
I want what *Steve Jobs* did during the *last keynote* = using the iPod touch and at the same time showing that on a video screen.
For my company I need a device with these capabilities:
    Must-have
    - Touchscreen
    - Dual Video (Display + AV-out simultaneously)
    - AV out (S-Video not DVI)
    - 12 - 24 volts (in-car voltage)
    - DRM Win or AAC
Dual video means that I can choose the files/pics/vids on the iPod Touch screen, and at the same time show the same image simultaneously through video-out on TV.
Current configurations of the iPod Touch only allows one or the other.
NB: There is no other device that can do it. Tablet PCs have no video-out, Archos/PSP et al have the same restrictions as iPods do.

    any ideas anyone?

  • Ipod Touch 5th Gen - Music videos contained in playlists don't display in full screen mode

I am using an Ipod Touch 5th Gen. I have music videos contained in different playlist that are utilized for a class where they are displayed on a large screen through a projector. When I playback the videos through the playlists, they don't appear in full screen mode. I didn't experience this issue with previous versions of the Touch. If I access the videos individually through the video icon, they display correctly.

That is how it works now. Make a suggestion to Apple to fix it by going here:

  • New iPod touch just stopped playing videos

I just got my iPod touch last night and it has been perfect till just now. The mail program froze and after I reset the iPod it won't play video. Not YouTube or ones I uploaded from iTunes. It stays on the opening image, has no sound and won't turn to landscape but says it is playing. I tried reseting it again but no go. Haven't tried connecting to the computer yet but will when I have access. The iPod was being charged with the Apple USB charger when it happened if that means anything.

I just figured it out. The charger was making it go to tv on. Duh
