IPod Touch future add-ons?

Im wondering, the iPod TOuch...does it have bluetooth capabilities?
I know it is definitely wifi accessible.
im just curious with the devices theyve created and how open ended and ridiculous possibilities that can be created and used with these new devices...perhaps a very advanced application could turn the Wifi Touch into an AppleTV remote, (advanced playback controls, visual controls switching through content while one is playing, stream off the iPod touch?)
or some sort of mouse touch trackpad for the desktop macs
thatd just be interesting to me atleast with the expandability it potentially could have.

The touch does not have any built-in Bluetooth wireless capability, only WiFi.
Sadly, these devices were not designed or engineered for any type of expandability as they are simply replaced after a year or two with a new version with more features (if any). That's just the way it is...and probably always will be.

I downloaded ibooks via ipad2 then synced to itunes, now ipod touch wont add the ibooks app

I just bought an Ipad2. Today I downloaded the iBooks app directly to the Ipad. When I connected to my PC to sync, the iBooks transfered to itunes as planned. When I plugged in my Ipod touch 4th gen to sync, it told me that in order to get the ibooks app, i need to go to the app tab. When in the app tab I see the icons, and I am unable to adjust or click which apps to add. It is a shaded out version, where you can see but not edit. So I decided to go to itunes store to download the app, and it says downloaded, so I can download again.
Please help

Download directly from iPod touch. On iTouch, go to App Store, 'Update' Tab', select 'Purchased', then 'Not on this iPod Touch', scroll down to look for iBook and install.

Shattered iPod touch screen; add passcode without device

A couple months ago, I shattered the screen on my 4th generation iPod touch. Today I went to unlock my iPod touch and it wouldn't slide where it says "slide to unlock". I turned off my iPod and turned it back on and it automatically came up with the screen that says "enter passcode", I entered my passcode and it automatically unlocked without having to do the "slide to unlock". I went to my settings and took off the passcode thinking that it would also take off the step where you had to slide to unlock. The next time I went to unlock the iPod, it just showed the slide to unlock, which still wouldn't slide over. I turned it off and back on and it didn't show the "enter passcode" and instead just went straight to "slide to unlock" which still wouldn't slide over. My dad who happens to work for apple took a look at it and noticed that the bottom left corner was missing a piece if the screen which was causing that corner of the screen to not function, and therefore not letting me slide to unlock it. So basically my question is, is replacing the screen my only option or is there any possible way for me to put a passcode back on it (since I was able to unlock it with a passcode) without using the device since I cannot unlock it?

There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task. Start with Google to search for these.

Have purchased apps and add on's on ipod touch want to move to IPAD

I just purchased a brand new ipad. I have purchased apps from my ipod along with add ons I purchased. I have tried Icloud but it doesn't sync from the ipod to the ipad when signing in with the same game center ID. I synced the ipad via Itunes to the Ipod but the add on's don't show on the Ipad only the Ipod, what am I doing wrong? This is frustrating.

When you really think about it the whole thing makes sense. Your playing the game on your device not in the cloud. For instance, the reason you can use documents in the cloud to start a document on one device and finish it on another is because it is being backed up on the device. The game you are playing is on the device. For that to work the manufacture of the app would have make a way for you to upload your app data inot from you game into their server. You probably who have to have an internet connection to upload your game data to a sever. That probably would mean signing in with an account to continue your game on another device.

Has anyone heard of any iWeb news on future add-ons or new templates?
Love the program...as a switcher from PC that used to rely on MSFT FrontPage, it's a great - but limited - tool.

My ipod touch wont let me download any add-ons

I have a 4th gen ipod touch. Whenever i try to download an add-on to an app, like extra coins for a game, it says that i must purchase the app before I can download the add-on, even though the app is downloaded on my ipod and my itunes library. Some of the apps that say this are also free, but they don't have a version that costs money.

I had that same problem, I used a gift card (all of it), and when I tried to use the AppStore it wouldn't let me, I tried calling apple support and iTunes support, but they did not help. The way I resolved my problem is I went to the grocery store and bought a visa debit gift card, with $1.00 balance on it and put that info on my billing settings when they asked me to update it or change it or whatever, and it worked perfectly, that may be the ONLY way for your problem to be resolved, and it's a confirmed answer, since I have done it myself, if you don't do that, you will never be able to download free apps, receive and download gifted apps, or even UPDATE an app, it ***** I know, I went through exactly what you did, and if you do what I did, you'll be able to use the AppStore again! How can i add songs to my ipod touch???????

apparently apple has done another update, and a whole revamp of the original layout and i can not find ANYTHING any more. updates dont work and it says my 2000 pictures are gone and my 500 songs show as only 1 song.....which is the ONE new song i just added. what the heck did they do????? how can i upload anything?????
I promise you i will NEVER EVER buy anything from apple ever again. This has been my first and final purchase because they seem to make it soooooo overly complicated that i just want to smash the machine to bits and go buy something else.....which is in the very near future. I can get a $50 mp3 touch screen player with 32GB through walmart right now that does EVERYTHING this ipod touch does and if it breaks WHO CARES IT WAS $50!!!! Unlike the $400 i spent on this piece of crap. But the best feature on the cheap walmart one is the ability to use it and understand it!!!
So for now, because i am giving this pos to my son to play with all he wants, how do i get it to add songs?????

Six Guns game for iPod: add ons won't restore

Have purchased several add-ons (sackful of stars) and have since had cause to restore the game. The game resores but the add-ons do not. Developer (Gameloft) doesn't respond. Any ideas?

I know, it's a longshot, but windows XP have recently posted their security update, and zonealarm refused all internet connections. The discussions said to uninstall the most recent update via system restore and wait till microsoft brought out a patch. (I do have a windows XP PC and would not touch vista with a barge pole).

Alternatively, reformat ipod via your computer (not itunes) to FAT32 and see if that makes any difference (if FAT 32 option is still available on Vista).

It's a snap. Each device has its own name. If iTunes does not assign unique names for the two iPods, change one of the names yourself. You can see both my iPad and my iPod simultaneously on my iTunes because I sync wirelessly.
Simply configure the sync characteristics for each device separately. The iTunes software will know the one with which it's communicating.

New iPod touch, no longer able to add songs via iTunes

Have a new iPod touch, less than a week old. 3.1.2 OS and 9.0.2 iTunes on an iMac.
Was loading songs manually, walked away for a little while, left the iPod connected, now I cannot add songs.
I've restored the iPod, still unable to drop songs onto it from iTunes. I set it to sync checked songs, will not load that way either.
It will load apps, I reloaded the apps, but songs will not go on it. Drive isn't full, after the restore I loaded apps, about 4 gigs worth, and tried songs but nada, zip, zilch.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Tried adding songs numerous ways, nothing. Walk away for a bit, come back, now I can add songs.
iPod gremlins? Taking it back tomorrow to see if they have any ideas...

Can not add games to iPod touch 4g from ITunes (PC) it worked befour new update but why not now..

I can now transfer apps including games to my ipod from windows pc in Itunes. I click on ipod tab on the left hand side then click on the apps tab then tick the box at the top to sync and now i can drag and drop apps. No apps or music was lost, still all on my ipod touch, but it did mix my apps up so i had to sort them out. I don't know why it did not work, no setting where change, but the update might of change it.

Is his iPod usually synced to a different iTunes library/computer? If so, that would explain the message iTunes is giving you. An iPod is designed to sync with only one computer/iTunes library at a time. If you try to sync it with a new library, the iPod's contents will be erased and replaced with what is in the newer/different iTunes library.
So if there is content you would like to add to his iPod, simply transfer it from your iTunes library to his.

He gave it to me as a Christmas gift and I want to keep the songs and Apps he already has on it but I want to be able to add more to it which means I would need it on my own itunes account because I can't add anything to it without a password.

You should be able to just place them in your Books library in iTunes and check to ensure that your Book library is configured to sync to your iPod when you sync your iPod to iTunes.

I'm borrowing a friend's iPod touch until I get another phone and I want to add some apps. I deleted all the apps that weren't needed and then I tried to add some of the apps that I need. I switched the Apple ID account on the iPod and the iCloud account to my own along with all the other apps (Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Instagram, Skype, mail, YouTube, etc.) When i go to the Apple app store and try and update or download a new app it still asks for the old password. How do I get it so when I try and download new stuff it asks for MY password?

It is showing updates because your machine is tied to the original purchase and will remain so until you wipe the drive.
As you purchased it used and the seller obviously did not do what he was supposed to do and that is erase the hard drive and reinstall the original system, you will run in to far more difficult problems when you need to reinstall for whatever reason. The new licensing requirements are that any mac is sold with the original OS - any OS or app obtained at the app store is NOT transferable and the buyer needs to purchase their own license. That means you will not be able to reinstall the OS.
At some point, you will need to try to get either the original install disks (from the seller or Apple) and wipe your drive and reinstall. Then you can download your own licensed copy of Mavericks and any apps you want.
