stuck and then I restored
when restore view pop up error 1602
I browsing abaout error 1602. it said, cause software update and firewall.
I think my laptop is up to date.
and I restore to macbook still view 1602
mm.
maybe is problem hardware?
if problem hardware approximately what is a part problem?

Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different Dock Connector or Lightning Connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps. I have a new Ipod touch gen 5. It shows up under my computer but not under devices in the side bar like it should with Itunes 11. I'm running the latest firmware for my new Itouch and the latest Itunes. I hope I don't have to uninstall my itunes as I have ALOT of music on it. I dont wanna lose it all. I'm running windows 8 and followed the tutorial to a "T" to try to fix the problem but nothing worked. I did everything except the last step. Even checking my Computer for Updates (Itunes will not run if updates to my PC are needed). Help Please!

I already had Anthill Free installed so deleted it in case it was interferring with the new download. I can install other free apps but now can't even install Anthill Free. My Ipod Touch (GEN 2) is not being recognized under devices in my Itunes. My computer is recognizing it as a device under device manager, but it is not showing up under devices in my Itunes. On your computer go to the control panel (hover in the lower right corner) then programs, add/remove programs
Uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Service, Apple Application Support then go to apple.com and redownload and reinstall iTunes and try again.
You won't lose any content, you're not deleting that, just the programs that access them.
What is thought to happen is that sometimes a new version of itunes doesn't update the drivers in those other two programs. The only way to update the drivers is to force it by uninstalling the programs which allows itunes to write the correct ones.
My iPad and iPod did exactly the same thing and this is how I fixed it.

IPod Touch (Gen 1, Software 3.0) running hot/locking up.

In the last few months, I have been having a recurring problem with my iPod Touch (Gen 1, now running 3.0), where on occasion it starts feeling incredibly hot to the touch, the screen freezes, and it refuses to accept any input from anything but the home and the lock/power key.
I've ruled out environmental causes, and also it doesn't seem to be software/apps causing the problem, as I first encountered it at V2.2, and it has happened with just a clean install on there as well.
Any ideas to what could be causing this, or to a potential solution?

This is not a bug but a problem with the software or hardware on your individual iPod. You have not mentioned try to fix it by doing a restart, reset, or a restore. These types of minor problems generally respond well to one of those remedies.
However, if your problem doesn't go away, you may have a problem with the touch screen. If you are still under warranty, then a trip to the closest Apple store might be a good idea.

Ipod Touch Gen 2 App Update Issue :(

Hi,
I have an iPod Touch gen 2, recently it has stopped updating my apps. When I click on "update," it will ask me for my password, the it'll say "waiting" with the little bar, then the icon will return to normal, but no update has taken place and the App Store icon will show the original number of updates. I have turned the wifi on and off and rebooted many times.
If I do a restore from iTunes, do I lose all game progresses?
Help please.

Can you update the apps pn your computer?
Your game progresses are part of the backup data. In order to save them before you restore, back up manually by right clicking on your device in the device list and choosing "backup". My iPod Touch Gen. 5 isn't being detected?

I plugged in my (new, recently bought) iPod Touch Gen. 5 to my computer (I use Windows, btw), and the Music library detected it. Good. THen i went to WIndows Media PLayer and iTunes to sync music onto it but it didn't detect my iPod at all So I unplugged it and plugged it back into another USB port. Nothing changed! So I resstarted my computer, itunes, and then ipod. Nothing happened, either.
WHat should i do? i really wanna get music onto it.

Windows Media Play will not detect the iPod. Yo have to use iTunes for syncing.
