IPod touch iCloud account

My dad just got me a new iPod touch and it's AWESOME! But seeing as my apple account was in my moms name when I set up the iCloud email account, it shows up as her when I email people. Does anyone know how I can change this? Thanks!

Do the update on the computer where the software was purchased, but don't sync your iPod to the iTunes library there. After the update is installed you will still be able to sync to the library on your own computer. Just don't try to do a an update or restore there. I do the same to update/restore my wife's iPod touch on my MacBook Pro, but sync it to the library on her PC.

When I use the builtin email app to access email over WiFi, my password is stored in the iPod Touch. Is this piece of info squirrelled away on the PC by iTunes during synchronization? If so, how securely is it kept?

There are backup extractors but the one I looked at did not mention to be able to extract the keychain. I would expect the keychain items to be secure since mac use a keychain and it is secure.

I have an iphone, and have bought an ipod touch for my 10 year old daughter. I would prefer she does not have her own email address at this age, so can I set up her ipod touch without an email address, and just use my email address for the apple account for registration to itunes?

New iPod Touch won't sync reminders

New iPod Touch - iCloud not syncing contacts, calendars, reminders, bookmarks. Restarting apps or device does not help.

Are you trying to sync these with another iOS device? If so, are you signed into the same iCloud account in Settings>iCloud?
Also, did you check icloud.com from your computer to see if your data is there?

I just got an iPhone 4S and gave my iPod Touch to my son. The iPhone uses an email for my Apple ID while the iPod Touch uses something different. Ideally I'd like to use the same ID for both devices. (I have purchased apps on the iPod Touch ID account). How can I accomplish this?

To change the ID used for iTunes on a device using iOS 4, try going to Settings>Store, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the ID you want her to use.
