Ipod touch IOS upgrading problem

My cousin just gave me her ipod touch and as soon as I plugged it in all the apps disapeared. Whenever I press check for update it just says, "you have the latest version 2.2.1" What do I do?

Did you try to connect to your computer in recovery mode, set your device aup again "as new" and start all over?

Force close the App Store app and reset the iPad. No data will be lost when you reset the device.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

The problem is when i drag n drop downloaded apps from torrentz into itunes n syncronize it add those apps into my itouch ... but the message shown in my i touch is .. that application failed to install..
in the itunes those appliacations are unchecked automatically ... but i can install apps which are downloaded from the istore .... they are working properly

Ipod touch is upgrading for 28 hours, at least. The bar (i think progress bar) is at about 98-99 percent last 14 hours. Who knows what is going on? or how to handle it?
initially it was suggestion to upgrade iOs to version 8.3.smth.
My ipod is 5th generation
Any ideas?

Terminate and try again.
You may have to place the iPod device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. This wiull update and erase the iPod.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Hi everyone,
Am I the only one to get problems on auto radios with the new iPod Touch iOS 5 ?
It had been working perfectly for 2 years on my LG LAC5900RIN (iPod Classic 5G then iPod Touch iOS 4) through USB port.
This auto radio is iPod compatible.
And now, since the recent update, my iPod is detected as "Connected" but the LCD of the auro radio displays something like "Track 10 - 2:55" and it's stuck on this...
Someone have a solution ?
Did Apple receive bug reports about that ?
(If my English isn't perfect, it's because I'm French)
