Ipod touch is not responsive to anything!

My iPod touch 3g has a blank white screen and is not responding to anything. I have tried turning the device of and I have tried puting it into the computer but nothing happened. What do i do??

If the screen rremains white then let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try the items in the article again. If the screen is still white after charging then time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store sinc it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • My 4th Generation iPod touch is not responsive to being reset

The screen isnt black, like its not off, but it is blank and non responsive. It will not show if its low battery, and my computer does not recognize it. Ive tried everything i can think of.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • TS1368 I'm frustrated! iPod Touch 4g not connecting to anything needing internet, even though wi-fi is connected.

My iPod Touch is making me very frustrated.  It can't connect to anything needing internet, except Draw Something.  App Store, Safari, even Weather won't load.  Facebook is touch-and-go.  If it loads it's VERY slow.  I contacted Apple support and that didn't help.  Best Buy (where I bought it a month ago) didn't help either.  The iPod Touch only connected for about the first week I owned it.  I've tried troubleshooting based on other answers posted here (changing the date, disconnecting and reconnecting wi-fi), but NOTHING works.  Please help!

    1. Try resetting Network Settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    2. If that does not help, test it on another network.
    3. If that does not work, try a restore.
    4. If that does not help, contact Apple again and see if they will replace it. You can always ask to be transferred to Customer Relations if you feel support was no help. They will take care of you.

  • My iPod touch is not responding to anything...please help?

Okay so a week ago I was listening to my ipod touch's app "iheartradio" (ipod touch is 8GB and 2nd generation). The battery was low, and it then died. Later on that night, I went to plug it into my wall charger, and it did not respond. Normally when this happens, I would hold in the home button and the sleep button until the apple logo appeared and then it would charge successfully. When I did this, the apple logo did not appear and it still did not respond (which was weird because it always had before). I then went to plug my ipod into my computer, and itunes or my computer did not recognize it. I have tried hitting it, holding down the home/sleep buttons...I've tried everything I can think of. I have left it charged overnight, and still nothing I am unable to get the apple logo or the shut off option...nothing appears on the screen. I updated to the new version of itunes and once again, nothing I also tried restoring it and nothing is recognized. I currently have my ipod touch plugged into the computer and it does feel pretty warm on the back of the ipod just above where the usb plug goes. I really don;t know what to do. I do not have any warrenty on it since my mom won it from her work a few years ago and then gave it to me. I really wanted to use this during my nursing clinicals since we are allowed to use them for references and I cannot afford another one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Try #2 and #3 in link below. If neither work, you most likely have a hardware issue.

  • Ipod touch is not responsive to my touch, and freezing, what do I do?

So, a while back my Ipod started being really weird, I would try to push buttons and it would go off clicking all sorts of things that I didn't touch, or even start doing that as soon as a turned it on so I would try to put in my passcode, and it wouldn't push the buttons I indicated, but at random. It kind of freaked me out cause I could never get where I wanted to go, and then it would start going random and schizo like that, and then freeze. When I would try to turn it off or restart it, I couldn't. After a while it would just die, and then I would try to charge it and put in my passcode I couldn't. I have seen solutions like restoring it, or ways to reboot it through ITunes on my computer, but if I plug it in my computer it says it can't be worked on or used through itunes unless I unlock it. I've tried, and it's even worse now. Now it won't even let me "slide to open"

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

  • Ipod touch screen not responsive.

I locked my 3rd gen Ipod touch by pressing the power button. Now the screen turns on but there is no response to touch screen. Won't unlock. Any help is appreciated.

    - Try reseting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
    - Last, restore to factory default/new iPod

  • My iPod touch is not responding to anything! Its frozen on the passcode screen

My iPod touch is frozen on the 'enter passcode' screen and it wont lock or turn off. i have tried syncing it, charging it, and pressed the home button and off button so many times with nothing. i haven't dropped it ever and it hasn't been near water. I'm so worried about all my information on it will be lost.

Correct. When you did that, you voided all warranty/support, & forfeited the right to an out of warranty replacement.
There was nothing wrong with the screen I bought,
And, exactly, how do you know that? Since Apple DOES NOT sell iPhone parts, there is no official source for genuine parts. Thus, many on the market are counterfeit & produce nothing but problems.
    Good luck.

    Sounds like this problem:
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem.
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

    Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
    Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
    Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware.

Error 11 is a strange one...if you search the discussions for error 11 you will get a number of hits but none with a real resolution other than getting the iPod to restore, which you have done.  And one person indicates this does not appear in the support data base...already found that out.
If you have restored, have a backup and can restore from that, you might try the update again, or wait for the next update whenever that comes out.
Not a very satisfactory answer but if it is working again...

  • Ipod touch does not do anything stuck on the apple logo screen.

ipod touch does not do anything stuck on the apple logo screen.

You may need to hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the apple logo appears. Or anther thing you can try is draining the battery until the battery is dead. That's what i tried and worked. You may need to do those things more than 2 times. OH anther thing is you can try connecting you ipod to your computer and see if it appears on itunes. If those don't work you can send it to apple. So that's what helped me I hope I answered your question.
