Ipod touch is very slow, but I don't have a lot of apps?
I have a 4th gen Ipod touch, and lately it's been extremely laggy. I do not have many apps, and there is still around 45-50GB free on it. I use it primarily for music and it takes up 60-70% of what's on the Ipod. Whenever I try to play a song, I have to press the music app(oh whatever you call it the place where the songs go) at least 3 times before it actually displays a list of my songs. The attempts prior to that show the layout, but everything is completeky blank. And once I manage to play a song, it plays only the song I selected and then stops, making me repeat the whole ritual again. I've read other discussions on this topic, but the solutions seem to be restore it and don't overload it with apps... So I'm wondering why it's being like this. I've had it since June 2011 and is this a normal Ipod's lifespan (if it is that is extremely disappointing considering the amount of money paid)?
turn off the ipod and turn it back on after 5mins
Maybe do a factory reset and just transfer all your music back from itunes

Why is my iPod Touch asking for a password I don't have?
My iPod Touch has been working fine for two years and I was using it last night. This morning, when I turned on my iPod Touch, it asked for a password. It didn't show the regular 10-digit number pad, it came up with a pad that showed the letters and numbers, the one you would find when you search for stuff on an iPod Touch.
My password setting is off and hasn't been tinkered with for over a year. No one but me had used the iPod Touch for the past few days. I have tried all the passwords I could think of and now I'm disabled from my iPod Touch, haha... ughh.
How can I get this fixed without taking a trip to the Apple store or restoring it?Sometimes the iDevices just go haywire and ask for a password out of nowhere. Or, could have somebody got hold of your iPod and set it up and entered a password?

My iPod 32 GB 3 generation is dammaged. I want to restore it using iTunes, but I don't have any backup. So will I be cpable to restore all data after restore or I will lose it forever?

I have an iPod touch that was given to me, so I don't know much about it. This is the first Apple product I've owned. The specs say it's an iOS 6.1.5
(Model# MC540LL/A) The iPod guide mentions Siri, but I can't find it in the Settings. Should I assume Siri isn't available on this model?
Also, can you tell me how old this iPod is, from the model #?it could be a 4th gen or lower, if the camera dosent stick out, then its a 4g,
however, it could be a 5g (the only model to have siri) it might of been disabled, to enable siri, you have to reset your ipod touch, then when it a says, use siri? tap use siri.
also if you mesure the screen and it is 3.5 inches then it is a 4g or lower and does not have siri. but the 4g has voice control and its offline, and siri cant be used offline.

IPod touch runs very slow on my computer
I recently purchased the 3rd Gen iPod touch and so far it has been running extremely slow when plugged into my computer. I installed all the latest updates and it's still running slow. On my 5th Gen iPod, songs were changed and deleted instantly. Any suggestions?
Same problem, although it used to be much quicker, I am unsure of when it became so slow.
It's taking about 4 seconds a song to copy to my Touch, while an older Nano takes less than a second per song on the same computer. The same Touch hooked up to my Macbook Pro is very quick. Just on my PC running Windows 7 64 is it slow.
Also oddly iTunes has an issue playing music when the Touch is syncing now. It pauses briefly every few seconds. Never used to do that either.
Wondering if I the last update did this? -

I have recently bought a new ipod touch 4g to replace my old 2g ipod touch, the main reason for this is because it is supposed to be faster, granted the internet speed doesnt have much to do with the processor
But i noticed the internet was slower than usual, so i put my new and old ipod side to side and used the Freeappaday app (because it accesses internet immediately and takes a while to start up even on the fastest of connections) and on the last attempt the 2g took 10 seconds and the 4g took 30 seconds, if there was only like 5 seconds between them i wouldnt be too bothered, but it takes about 20 seconds just to load the achievements in game center!
Is anybody else having this problem? Should i take the ipod to an apple store or send it in for repair?

Ben"m have the same problem. Simultaneous, side-by-side download speed test: iPod Touch 4G = 0.97 Mbps, iPod Touch 2G = 9.2 Mbps. I have a Netgear RangeMax WNR834bv2 N-router. I've changed the router speed from "up to 270 Mbps" to "up to 130 Mbps", but no change. I've changed the channels on the router, but no change. I've powered cycled the router a million times, but no change. I've reset the network settings on the iPod, but no change. What are the differences in the wireless antenna between the 2G and 4G that could be affecting download speeds? I've taken my iPod Touch 4G to Starbucks, and my download speeds are much closer to my 2G. My wireless router and Touch 4G are not playing nice.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. You have no iCloud since that requies iOS 5 If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes. Is there a way to locate this ipod touch?
Find My iPod had to be activated on your device before you lost it in order to locate it using Find My iPhone on icloud.com. But even if you did, the location accuracy isn't going to show you where it is inside your house, it would only show you that it at your home address (at best).
Having the serial number isn't going to help you locate it, but if you've ever backed it up in iTunes you can go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and hover your mouse over the name of your backup to get a pop-up showing you the serial number. -
IPod stuck in 'headphone' mode but I don't have headphones in. What should I do?
My iPod won't make any sound at all. When I turn up the volume it just says that there is headphones in But there really isn't. What can I do to fix it?
- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.

Your iPhone and iPod can share the same iTunes account. Apps can be freely shared and used by one or both devices. You can't use money in your iTunes account to pay for your phone, but purchased apps can be used by both the iPod and iPhone.

Can apple help me find my iPod touch 5g??? I have already reported it to the police and they haven't called back, i also have the find my iPhone app in it but I don't have the location thingy turned on so what else can I do to locate it pleazz help this iPod is relly valuable to me I had gotten it for Christmas and now I proved that I can't be trusted with it HELP :c
Police don't "track down" lost items, per se. They'll keep your information on file in the event that someone finds your iPod and turns it in. Otherwise, there's nothing the police can or will do in regards to finding lost property.
Sorry, but your iPod is most likely gone for good.
