2. my ipod 4 says it has 4gbs of photos but i have 500 on an 8gb how do you fix it? itunes won't let me update apps.

1.
well to get it you need to go to lyrics.com and look for the song you want. You then copy all the lyrics then you go to itunes and right-click and go to get info. Then after you go to lyrics and paste it into the box. Then you sync. the song to your ipod touch and on your  ipod touch you tap the song once and You have lyrics to your ipod touch.
2. Try and delete photos save them to ur computer and then delete

  • Ipod Touch freezes with Itunes

I have a 4th Gen Ipod Touch and have Windows Vista and after the new update of Itunes 10.4.1, it freezes Itunes when connected to my computer. Itunes works fine when the Ipod is not connected, but once I connect the Ipod the program freezes. If I disconnect my Ipod then it unfreezes and begins to work again.
I've tried restarting my computer, reinstalling Itunes, and trying all the different USB ports in my laptop since that worked once when Itunes wasn't seeing my Ipod.
I believe it is a syncing issue because the first sync that my Ipod does with Itunes is very slow and takes up to 20 mintues to finish. After the first sync everything begins to work fine and at a normal speed.
I ran a diagnostic on Itunes and it told me that everything is fine but it can't read my Ipod even when it's plugged in.
Is anyone experiencing a similar problem, or knows of a good solution?

  • IPod Touch Syncing with Itunes

Well I've finally been able to get my used Ipod Touch back in working order, upon connecting it to my computer for the first time i've run into another issue. When I attempt to sync my Ipod with Itunes it pops up a windows message "SyncServer has stopped working" and then a moment later "Itunes was unable to load provider data from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later"
I've looked around the support pages and the forums with no luck.
Thank you, I would appreciate it if anyone is able to point me in the right direction.
++addition info: It has some of the previous owner's songs on it and a couple of apps, none of which I want, so any data loss wont bother me in the slightest.
??quick Q: Do i need to register the ipod under my account or convert my account to an itunes store account(or something like that) in order just to sync my songs i have on my computer?

Here's a post about the SyncServer problem: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2384885&start=50&tstart=0
Apps can only be used with the account they where bought with. Delete the apps from the last owner and change the Store settings to your account in Settings/Store by logging in with your account info.

  • IPod classic issues with iTunes 9 just may be disk problems in ipod

I have done extensive testing for several days now on this iTunes 9 issue with iPod Classics. I used 3 different computers, 1 Macbook Pro, Windows 7 and XP with iTunes 8. I had 2 - ipod classic 80GB and 2 - ipod 5th Generation 30GB units people gave me to look at.
It would take too much typing to describe all the restores, syncs, formats, copies I did over the past few days.
Bottom line: Using PC utilities I began to believe the iPod hard drives had bad sectors. I trusted the disk testing because I got different results from different ipods. The problems I experienced and what I have read here are consistent with what you would expect from disk problems and S.M.A.R.T. technology on the drives.
If bad sectors on a drive are dealt with by S.M.A.R.T. I would expect delays in accessing those sectors to occur.. resulting in delays to restore, delays to sync, delays to even skip songs on the ipod itself.
What may be the case is switching to iTunes 9, discovers when it trys to use the bad sectors. Maybe iTunes 9 is more timing temperamental. I have iPods that pass all disk tests that work fine with iTunes 9 on mac and PC. The other 2 ipods reporting bad sectors on a disk test, can restore, but syncing 3000+ songs is nearly impossible. Sync delays were consistent with where I would expect bad sectors to exist in the process. Delays I noticed just copying a folder to the ipod in disk mode were consistent with the delays that occur syncing in iTunes.

    It is a possibility...
I will state though that in my opinion the main problem is that itunes 9 is far less fault tolerant than prior versions and is far more likely to preemptively send an ipod into recovery mode when running into a problem when a ipod is plugged in.
I'd had a couple of incidents in prior versions of itunes when it flashed an alert message that it was having trouble accessing the ipod. Usually unplugging and reconnecting the ipod resolved the issue. Unfortunately this system of handling the issue does not work at all with itunes 9. What happens is that the next time you plug in the ipod it is preemptively sent into recovery mode.
I've had my ipod sent into recovery mode 7-8 times since I Installed Itunes 9. The last 5 of those in the last week. I've already done the reinstall itunes 9 from scratch and I still had to do a recovery of the ipod last night. Today I bought a new interface cable on the theory that my old cable might be defective. I've been able to plug it in tonight without itunes complaining about being unable to access the ipod

  • IPod touch sync with iTunes Error -18

    Hi
Today I want to use my iPod touch but they was no music on it (the pictures are ok).

I got the message that the sync is not possible error code -18, a restore is mot possible too.To solve this problem I reset the iPod touch (setup-> common -> reset all)
Is it a hardware / software error on the iPod touch?
    thanks
    Frank

Follow these instructions ... be sure to continue to hold down the HOME button when your release the SLEEP/ON/OFF button as indicated:
    1.) connect the ipod
2.) Pres and hold both home and off switch untill the apple logo apears
3.) When apple logo apears let go off the off switch but not the home
4.) You should see the logo of a cd and a usb cord
5.) Open itunes. If it still doesnt see it, unplug the ipod and close and reopen itunes and then plug your ipod
Itunes should take over from there

  • Why can't my ipod touch sync with itunes 11?

I am currently using an iphone 5 and an ipod touch 3rd generation. I had to upgrade my itunes to sync my iphone but now I can no longer sync and back up my ipod touch. I'm not sure if it's because my itunes is too advanced for my ipod which is using IOS 5(I think). I remember I used to be able to put songs in and all but now itunes keeps asking me to restore it to factory setting which I do no want to do every time I want to add music. Is there any way to fix this problem? Or do I really have to restore my ipod every time? Please Help.

Something happened and yo have to restore via iTunes. Backup to iTunes if yo can and then restore from that backup
All old devices can sync with the newest iTunes

  • Why wont my ipod touch sync with itunes, and how can I fix it

    Key Facts:
-I have an ipod touch (model number MC008LL)
-It's probably running the same iOS id did in the package
-It won't sync (and more importantly update to i0S5)
-It's not a failed/slow sync, the option to sync as well as all other options under "Devices" is Grayed out
    -I am running iTunes 11.0.4
-the Belkin cord I am using charges the ipod, and I think it was the one I used to sync it before.

You have a 3G iPod and those can go as high as 5.1.1.  What exactly happens when you connect the iPod to your computer and try to update via iTunes? You need iTunes 10,5 or higher on the computer.
After you get it updated see if syncs.

  • IPod mounting issues with iTunes 7.0.2

My computer is having trouble mounting my iPod. Initially, I thought the problem lied with the iPod since files appeared corrupted. But the files returned and iPod diagnostics gave it a healthy status. Today, my external firewire drive did not mount; yet the attached iPod appeared in Windows Explorer. In other words, the iPod attached to the external drive appeared while the drive was MIA. Weird!
After dis/reconnect the firewire cable, the external drive appeared, but the iPod faltered. Then I dis/reconnect the iPod and it appeared.
My music is on the external hard drive, which creates a problem for iTunes when the drive disappears. Basically, the iPod and the external drive need to be visible and accessible; or iTunes eats into CPU usage and resources. It’s even causing random blue screen of deaths, which do not occur with a disconnected iPod and external drive. These scenarios were apparent after upgrading to iTunes version 7.
Update: I have deleted all temp files; stopped the iPod service; uninstalled iTunes 7.0.2; deleted the iTunes folders; ran defrag and chkdsk several times; reinstall iTunes 7.0.2; and tried multiple cables and firewire/USB ports.
With iTunes removed, Windows XP instantly recognizes the iPod and external drive with no problem. After the iTunes 7.0.2 installation, the iPod goes on the brink. The situation has me frustrated beyond belief. Right now, I cannot recommend upgrading to iTunes 7.0.2 on Windows XP.
Please advice on these scenarios before I roll back to iTunes version 6.

I finally gave up on iTunes 7. After uninstalling iTunes 7 and reinstalling iTunes 6, my iPod became more reliable and Windows XP would consistently mount it. Even though iTunes 7 is well conceived, I founded considerably slower than version 6. The slowdown becomes apparent when iTunes automatically starts with connecting an iPod. Syncing the iPod with a large music database will cause a slowdown; even a crash.
I do not believe that iTunes is multi-threading well on Windows XP. My other syncing applications do not put a strain on my computer’s resources. My computer handles Photoshop 10 megapixel processing and a 2 gigs bi-directional sync over my network without a hiccup. iTune grinds my computer to a halt with just a 2 gigs syncing to the iPod. In addition, all startup items were disabled in the troubleshooting process.
Even though features like the Summary tabs and view by album art appeal to me, I will hold off on the iTunes 7 upgrade in place of speed and reliability. I have a couple recommendations as well. These suggestions are for people with large music databases and a large number of hard drive and firewire devices.
TURN ON – Automatically update selected playlist only
TURN OFF – Open iTunes when this iPod is attached
If you restore you iPod, leave your computer alone for several hours while iTunes fills up a large capacity iPod. It took me all weekend to reload my iPod.

  • Will iPod Touch sync with iTunes via Wi-Fi ?

Forgive me if it's here somewhere but I cannot seem to find any info on this.
I'm thinking it would be really neat if I could just pop the iPod Touch on my speaker dock to charge when I'm at home, whilst updating the content wirelessly via my laptop/home network.
    Is this possible?

    Thanks.
I was reading about the Zune yesterday which made me wonder if the Touch would work the same.
A USP for the Zune until Apple sort out an update!
