Ipod touch /itunes sync error message

I am getting this message everytime I try to sync my ipod touch, not sure what has happened:
You are signed in with a different Apple ID than previously used with Podcasts. Do you want to sync these podcast subscriptions and stations with “( my apple id"” ?

Sure sounds like you are now using a differnt Applee ID on the iPod as before.
What happens if yo say Yes?

  • IPod Touch / iTunes sync error -50 on iMac, due to new upgrade for iPhoto

I have an iPod Touch, software version 3.0.
I have an iMac, on Mac OS X 10.5.8.
I am on iTunes version 8.2.1.
    I am on iPhoto 09 version 8.1 (415).
Ever since Apple released it's latest iPhoto upgrade about 2 weeks ago, I have not been able to sync my iPod Touch with iTunes, and instead getting a 'sync error -50'.
Apple's phone tech support did not know what the problem was and recommended me to Restore my iPod, as well as re-install iTunes. This did not help.
After much aggravation, I found a discussion group addressing the fact that it might have to do with the latest version of iPhoto. So, in iTunes I unchecked the sync iPhoto option, and now the rest of the sync's worked (iCal, Address book, music, movies, etc).
Still, I am looking for a solution, as I do not find not syncing my photos a long term solution. Can I do this on my own, or does a solution have to come in the form of a fix from Apple?
I want my photos back on the iPod, and am very thankful for any tips/help (...hello, anyone from Apple reading this?).

I don't think any of the work-arounds are really valid or deal with the problem. My Mac Pro desktop computer is 2 years old, so the problem obviously has nothing to do with a computer being new. I also don't see how it can have anything to do with iPhoto. If I get this error and "QUIT" iTunes and reboot iTunes, the iPod syncs perfectly, even though no changes were made.
I actually bought a new iPod this week because I thought my old iPod was failing (due to these repeated errors). Imagine my horror when the brand new iPod had the same problem.
Hopefully someone can figure out what going on.

  • Ipod touch getting an error message when I try to sync

I am trying to sync my Ipod touch (2nd generation, updated) and it keeps telling me
'Ipod touch cannot be synced. An error occured while reading from the device'. Then it says the required disk cannot be found. I have tried plugging it out and in, etc. An ideas? It's driving me crazy.

That error message usually means you have to delete the iPod Photo Cache folder. See the following:

  • NEW iPod Touch has an error message

I got a new iPod touch just over two weeks ago. I'd had one previously so I just connected the new one as per the instruction booklet. Within half an hour iTunes popped up to tell me to update. So I did. BIG MISTAKE. The iPod crashed, I tried to restore but got the message "cannot restore, error 21". After going through the forums and the less than helpful Apple support pages I eventually took it back to the store and they replaced it.
So I connected the new one but didn't do the update and everything has been fine.
SO two weeks later I'm still getting the message to update. I figure that Apple would have fixed any problems in that time so I go ahead. I'm now sitting with an iPod stuck in recovery with error 14.
It'll cost me a fortune to phone through to support and I live over 100 miles from the nearest Apple store.
Any advice that ANYONE can give would be much appreciated!!

I did try the various steps people have suggested in other threads but still the problem exists.
I phoned Apple today and they have offered to change the iPod again and actually advised me not to update the new one...
They are suggesting it may be a USB problem - but having used a PC and a laptop, and three different cables I doubt that.
One other thing they suggested is that the wireless adapter I use for my web connection may be causing the problem - again I've tried it on a patop with an integrated wireless adapter but you never know I suppose.

  • ITunes Sync Error Message -69

Recently i get this error message when i'm trying to sync songs onto the iPhone. I'm using iPhone software 3.1.2 and iTunes 9. It doesn't seem to backup anymore either, just stalls after a few minutes into it. iTunes doesn't freeze the backup itself seems to. Below is the link to the image that shows the error message coming up on the screen. What did work was I had to delete a few albums (that normally would sync fine) that I got the Error -69 on. After deleting the albums it would sync and then hit another with the same Error -69.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply even though this is kinda in the wrong section. I've had to remove a few whole albums rather than just one song. Tried unchecking the song but it seems the rest on the album were the same. Any idea why it won't complete the backup also? I did search for Error -69 before posting but no topics come up.
    Thanks.

This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. in that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • "New or Refurbished" iPod won't sync; error messages

I recently used my warranty on my old 30 gig classic iPod to get a "new or refurbished" iPod because the battery life was terrible. When i got the iPod everything looked like it was working right, until i got to about 1550/6000 songs. I got a message saying there was a file missing and that the sync could not be completed. I went through some trouble shooting, to no avail. I have Itunes version 8.0.2 and Ipod version 1.3. Any help would be appreciated, this is driving me nuts!

Have you assigned a permanent drive letter to your ipod?

  • New iPod w/iTunes internal error message

My iPod froze a week ago and then gave me the sad face icon so I sent it in for repairs today I received a brand new iPod. When I hook it up to my computer (windows) it says that the iPod software is not up to date and to Run Updater. When I do that it says manager iPod internal error. And that is is. Nothing else. iTunes isn't recognizing my iPod. Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

    == Error -54 ==
From an OS9 reference, error -54 is a software lock on a file or a permissions error. (Some of the old codes still apply to OSX although there is no formal list of OSX error codes.)
First, try simply restarting your computer.
