MY ipod touch wont power on?
my ipod touch wont power on?
- First connect the iPod to your computer. If iTunes sees the iPod, restore the iPod via iTunes
- If not seen, reset the iPod and then try restoring the iPod.
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- If still not seen, place the iPod in recovery mode and then try to retore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

IPod touch Airline Power Adaptor? - Need.
Hello, I'm hoping all you mac heads can help me out here.
Next week I'll be traveling to Europe and Dubai. I'm bringing my iPod Touch but want to find a way to charge it on my looooooong plane ride to and from these places. I'll most likely (god willing) be sitting in business class on the airplane (Delta). Is there any sort of power adaptor that I can buy/use to plug in my iPod Touch while on the plane? If so, do you know where I can buy one? I'm not even sure what type of connection(s) I'd need. Help!
- Mr. MooWill those fit the iPod touch connector? Isn't the iPod touch connector a different size than previous ipods? I've seen some airplane power connectors but I'm afraid they won't fit the iPod touch and don't want to spend $40 bucks to see if it will or won't

IPod Touch 4G Power Button Stuck/Spring Broken?
in other post i accidently said the home button was broken, but it's the home button sorry, for real it's the power button so ima correct it now . However i can't lock my ipod and even power it off is it broken or it's stuck i'm using Assistive Touch will Apple replace it (I Have No Warrenty Though)?
- If Apple can't easily fix it (unjam), they will exchange it for a refurbished one for this price. I would make an appointment at their Genius Bar of an Apple store and hear what they have to say.
- Have you looked at the previous discussions listed on the right side of this page under the heading "More Like This". -
IPod Touch - Adapter Power Usage
Hi everyone. I was wondering how much power (in Watts) is required to power an iPod through a USB wall adapter. In addition, if I'm just using a USB cable from my iPod to a car power adapter, how much is power (in Watts) is required through that source? The reason I need to know this information is because I will have a Macbook Pro plugged into a car power inverter and an iPod Touch as well either through another wall adapter or through the USB port located on the power inverter. If anyone can provide some information regarding the power usage, it'll be greatly appreciated!
That's all I could find with any information about power usage. Even the specifications page mentions nothing:
http://support.apple.com/kb/SP496
Unless you've got one of those plug-in energy usage monitors and can test it yourself, I don't know how else you'll find out, as Apple don't seem to publish the figures.
Other links I found are these:
http://www.apple.com/environment/resources/calculator.html
http://www.apple.com/environment/resources/environmentalperformance.html
but nothing specific to the iPod touch there. -
My iPod touch's power button got stuck and then the screen went white.
My iPod touch 4G was a great device, until I stopped using it when iOS 7 came out back in 2013. Then eventually I got back to using it and then one day the power button started acting a little bit funny and then the entire button got stuck in the device. Eventually I tried to fix it so I opened up the screen and tried pushing the button back up. Then the worst happened, I touched something behind the screen and then the screen froze. Then the screen went white. I could do nothing as the power button was stuck in the device. Then it just sat there, white, until it died a few hours later. So heres my question,
What do I do?See my reply in this discussion:

How to secure an 16 GB iPod Touch's power on and mail?
Hi!
Is there a way to add a password protection when turning on an 16 GB iPod Touch (firmware v1)?
Also, how can I have its mail's POP3 and SMTP accounts ask for password since I do not want it to memorize my passwords for security reasons. It seems like it is either have no password set or have one memorized, but no prompt when checking and sending e-mails.
Thank you in advance.vanluuk wrote:

IPod Touch Sleep/Power Button Not Working! Help!
I have the new iPod Touch 32 GB and I got it in September. Since yesterday it started lagging with the button: When I push the sleep button to put it to sleep it waits 5-10 seconds and asks me to move the slider to shut down. Its like the button is stuck inside or something. Does anybody else have this problem? What should I do?
I have a 3g iPhone 32gb and this is happening with me as well. Actually, the darned thing freezes all the time (see my reply in the "Unresponsive" discussion: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=10981942#10981942).

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour try a reset (may not work).
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Then connect to your comnputer and try to restore.
- If the screen is still white then it appears yu have a hardware problem and appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

When I plug in an USB stick, my MacBook Air disables all USB devices
When I plug in an USB device, my MacBook Air disables all USB devices and the keyboard. It looks like it would freeze, but all applications still work. It just does not respond to neither keyboard nor mouse. The only solution is to force-restart it.

Locking/Concurrency Options
The options described in the recent messages are pretty well-known.. The way I look at it, unless you use some sort of active locking/notification, you end up with one of two types of update: Last Write Wins - No last-minute checking at all for times
