Ipod touch not recognizing video on you tube

I have an ipod touch 32G and can get on to You Tube but it does not recognize any video-get ∅ through the video thumbnail. It did work when I first got it.

You can disable the autostart of iphoto here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1501
See these two articles about reasons why the ipod does not show up in itunes: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2050 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1747 about reinstalling Apple Mobile Device Service.

  • Can not view videos on you tube in firefox4 using flash player11

    I'm using firefox 4 and i can not view videos on you tube.I've updated and reinstalled adobe flash player twice with no results.I've also tried the other checks,security blocking,cache,pop ups etc Works fine on IE. Hope someone has a solution.I've always liked firefox but not the newer versions and many of the changes;

I can't believe you're still running Firefox 4. Why not a newer version?
There are a number of active threads concerning the latest Flash player plugin (11.3) and the latest Firefox (12-13). Not all users are experiencing the same issues, but things to check include the following:
    - Conflict with Realplayer Browser Record plugin (to disable this, open Add-ons from the orange Firefox button or the classic Tools menu and look under the Extensions and Plugins categories)
    - Conflict with Flash 11.3 Protected Mode (see [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 Adobe Forums: How do I disable Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?])
Scanning down the front of the forums probably will yield additional suggestions: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions
Does any of that appear promising?

My Ipod touch is not recognized by Itunes or Windows Explorer. I have followed Apple's troublehsooting but it did not solve the problem.
Thanks in advance for any assistance that you can provide.

    Thanks for your assistance
I have tried the solution you mentioned.
I uninstalled Itunes and all other Apple software as instructed and then reinstalled the latest version
USB port is working with other devices
    Tried a different cable
The ipod charges with the DC charger or other compueter
    Ipod is working well
In my opinion, the problem is related to the computer. Hardware is working well

  • Ipod touch not recognized by windows or itunes by one laptop fine on any other laptop

I have a laptop that runs windows 7, my ipod classic and nano all get recognized by computer and itunes.  When I plug in my ipod touch, it isn't recognized by either, but when I plug it into another computer or laptop running windows 7, it is recognized.  I have run all the recommended steps, reinstalled itunes several times, why won't this work?

    Did you try everything here:

Did you remove and reinstall ALL Apple software using:

My iPod Touch is not recognized by my computer or itunes. I believe this happened after the recent upgrade for latest fixes.

    See:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    I would start with:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
Also, if you  have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

  • Ipod touch not recognized in windows after reset

I just reset my ipod touch in itunes and now it's not recognizing it. i was updating to 2.2.1 firmware and i never got past the update. it's hung on that screen that has the usb and cd. and windows keeps saying found new hardware and wants a driver. my ipod does not work now. how do i get windows to recognize it so i can finish the update.
I'm on xp 64 bit. and yes i'm using a hacked version of itunes. but it worked with this update before. i actually had the 2.2.1 firmware on it already but i needed to reset the ipod because i have a dead strip i was hoping a reset would fix. now nothing works.

I uninstalled iTunes, rebooted, and reinstalled.  Now, the iPod is being recognized by iTunes.  Hopefully, it will remain recognized the next time I reboot Windows.  I'd hate to have to uninstall/reinstall each time.
But, I'm using a beta operating system, and knew the ramafications when I installed it.  So, whatever happens, happens.  Thank you for responding.   Jd

  • IPod Touch Not Recognized in Windows 8.1 Preview

Hello.  I installed Windows 8.1 Preview clean last week, and am now having problems getting my iPod Touch recognized within iTunes.
Normally, there is a button marked On This iPod, which I click, and then load music in that screen.  That button is not appearing.
Furthermore, usually my iPod is listed somewhere in Windows Explorer.  It is not listed.  I've tried hooking the iPod Touch up to each of my USB ports.  I also have a 4-port USB 3.0 hub and tried them.  The device isn't being recognized.
I understand it's possible there could be conflicts between Windows 8.1 and some software.  Windows 8.1 is, of course, still in the beta stages. But I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem, and if there might be a workaround for it.
    Thank you!   J. Danniel

  • IPod Touch not recognized in Windows & iTunes won't start unknown error -50

I have been trying to fix a connectivity issue with my iPod touch for almost 6 hours now. I've read all over the iPod Touch forums and none of the solutions worked for me. I've installed and uninstalled iTunes multiple times and nothing seems to work.
Also, earlier this evening iTunes was working but it wouldn't recognize my iPod touch although it would charge. Now that iTunes won't start I'm also having problems with charging my iPod and at no time, was my iPod ever recognized in 'My Computer'.
Someone please help! I'm at my wits end without being able to use and update my iPod. All help/insight/suggestions are appreciated and thanks in advance!

if still no joy, it could be that your Touch is a goner. if it is still under warranty, you should plan a trip to the nearest Apple store.

  • Ipod Touch Not Recognized By PC or iTunes?

I need help with my iPod touch!  I've attempted this on three different computers ( one running XP, one running Vista, and one running 7)  The computer doesn't recognize the iPod at all when its plugged in ( not even the "tone" that tells you something is connected) and it does not show up in iTunes.  I've run through every troubleshooting option on the apple support page ( uninstall/reinstall iTunes, checked for third party software, made sure the mobile device driver is working) and I just bought a brand new USB cord to make sure that it wasn't that.  Nothing.  It isn't showing that its charging (not the green battery charge symbol), but when the battery dies it will charge enough to turn it on and give me about 15% of battery life.  I'm really stumped -- I've only had this for about 18 months and already had to send it back to Apple twice for service/replacement.  Is there anything else I can do short of paying Apple to fix it AGAIN?

Hi, I have an ipod touch. It has been working well along windows 8 all this while until 1 week ago, itunes can no longer detect the ipod touch. Funnily, when I tried connecting it other computers using Windows 7, it could be detected. I have already tried almost everything such as uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, AMDS restart. • IPod Touch not recognized since upgrading iTunes to version 11.1.4

After upgrading from iTunes version 11.1.3.64 to version 11.1.4.64, my iPod Touch will no longer be recognized in iTunes (but is recognized by my computer - can view drive). I've restarted the Apple Mobile Device Service and the iPod Service with no luck. I've also tried a system restore but the restore point was not early enough (was post iTunes upgrade). How do I revert back to the previous version of iTunes? I have Windows 8. Thanks.

    Hey BobDLT,
Thanks for the question, and great troubleshooting so far. The following article outlines some great troubleshooting steps for this issue. While you may have already attempted some of these steps, I see that there are some that have not yet been attempted. It might be a good idea to run through the entire article:

  • IPod touch Not recognized by Computer but charges?

    Hey all
Want to ask you to help me.
My iPod touch 4th generation is not recognized by the computer, when I plug it in, nothing happens. I got my working iPod touch 4th generation and plugged it in to the computer and the computer made that ding sound and itunes recognized it.
It is not the computer problem in this case. I just restored another 4th gen iPod Touch last night and it connected and everyrthing so this is a problem wirth te unit itself.
If this helps any, the screen was proffesionally replaced. (not by Apple)
    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I checked the dock connector and the corners of it are worn to a tiny copper wire on the left side but it's not sticking out. My other 3 iPod touches 4th gens have the identical thing, 2 have it worse in fact, yet, they connect to the computer fine. It is a problem with the iPod itself...
I bought the iPod like this after the screen was replaced from eBay.  It was like this before the screen was replaced anyways.
    Any other ideas?
