Ipod touch not turning on or charging! HELP PLEASE!

I have an ipod touch and when I go to turn it on it gives me the dead battery sign and the sign to charge it. When I plug it in to charge, it gives the dead battery with the lightening bolt. It then goes to turn on with the little apple and then stays like that and then blacks out and does it again. I dont know what the problem could be and what to do. Any ideas? Suggestions? Or answers? Thank you.

  • Ipod touch, not turning on or charging

I have a 16gb touch 4th Generation, I haven't used it in about 2-3 months since I got an iphone but decided to go back to it so i don't waste my battery while I'm outside working. it will not do anything. it will not turn on, it will not charge, it will not be noticed by any computer, it is a brick. it hasn't been damaged at all or anything, it was sitting in my work vehicle in a little pelican case in my work bag. i have tried charging it for hours with the wall and 3 different computers, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do NOT tell me to just hold the buttons down to reset it, I've tried it numerous times for several amounts of time, even up to 5 mins at one point. Can anyone help me or has this just become a brick?

  • Please help me. ipod touch not turning on and not syncing with itunes!!!!

ok. so i tried to turn on my ipod touch and when i pressed the button on the top and the little square one on the bottom it didnt work. it was just a black screen. i tried holding down each button (seperatly and together) but it still didnt work. so i thought maybe plugging my ipod into itunes would work. but when i plugged it into itunes the ipod didnt even come up in the side bar thing, like it usually does. and the screen was still black.
please please please please please help me

try putting your ipod touch into dfu mode by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 10 seconds, then let go of the sleep/wake button (make sure it is connected to your computer) and continue to hold the home button for 10 to 15 seconds or until itunes reads it as an ipod touch in recovery mode that needs to be restored, if you need more help on this just go to youtube and type in dfu mode in the search field

  • Ipod will not turn on or charge

Hello there!! I've never done this before so hear it goes...
My ipod (5th generation video ipod) will not respond when I push any of the buttons.
    The hold button is off.
I've tried to reset it but the computer will not reconize it. All the software is up to date.
I would have gone thru all of the 5 R's if I could turn my ipod on.
I hooked my ipod on to the charger with no response.
This situation is sounding pretty hopeless. I hope someone can help and tell me otherwise?
    Help me pretty please??
    Thanks in advance...

  • IPod touch not turning on or restarting=FROZEN!

hello, my iPod touch 2nd generation is not doing anything!it is just a black screen that is not responding to anything...if i plug it to my computer the bottom becomes worm which is what happens when i recharge it...i had it working last night before i sleep,i put some music and then i fall asleep. In the morning i woke up and it was turned off so i though that the battery is empty so i plugged it to the computer to recharge it but nothing happened!
At night i was downloading an app and i was listening to music the battery was at 40-50%...its 2 years old and has iOs 4.0.
    *Help Me PLEASE*

I seem to be having the same problem too and have not seen any resolutions. Mine will not charge at all. The apple screen keeps flashing on and off but does not charge, not recognized. Tried holding down power and home button which reset it but it is now just flashing (slowly) on and off. It sometimes shows the battery but has been doing this for the past day. Usually makes a tone when plugging in to charge via USB on my Mac but not now. It just seems to be in a loop and will not be recognized. If I have overlooked the resolution to this would someone Please point me to the link. I would appreciate it as I have all my passwords and other information needed - the local store in Indy is over an hour drive so I was hoping to find an Apple genius here to help.
    Thanks group.

  • IPod Touch Not Turning on and IS NOT Detected by iTunes!!!!

Hello, recently I bought the new iPod Touch 4g! It was all fine and working for about 12 days, but then it started getting really hot and the battery lasted less than an hour while listening to music. I took my iPod Touch in, and a genius told me it was a software problem and I had to do a clean restore (as a new iPod.) Since the clean restore, my iPod has been working fine... until this morning. I had it syncing with my Mac overnight, but when I came to turn it on... I got a black screen... nothing. I unplugged the iPod and tried to turn it on again, but I got no response! I tried plugging the iPod into my wall charger, but nothing happened! I finally gave up and plugged the iPod back into my Mac, but iTunes didn't do anything! HELP!!!!!

Since it does not charge anymore, there's no way that iTunes will recognize your device when the battery is empty. You're still under warranty, make an appointment at your next Apple Store and bring it in again.

  • Ipod touch not turning on anymore.

    Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Ipod touch 8GB.I have it for  7/8 years now, and it was working fantastic till yesterday morning...
I left it in my bag all day, and when I came back home, the Ipod was messing up, the tactile screen wasn't working, I was trying to press with my fingers and I couldn't use it. The lighting of the screen was going a bit wrong, so I did nothing a part from assuming it was probably the fact that the battery was low, so I put it on charge on my laptop hoping my Ipod would recover.
This morning, I tried to use it and it won't even turn ON! So I tried to connect it with the white cable to Itunes hoping this would turn the Ipod ON.
Nothing... not even itunes detects the Ipod. I really don't understand what happened to it seriously, it was working fantastic yesterday and suddenly out of nowhere it stops working for no reasons (how can the Ipod gets damaged in a bag seriously?)
Any advice to give me ? I really cherish my Ipod, I have all the music on it, and I can't afford to get a new Ipod
    Thank you !

  • IPod touch not starting up after charging

My iPod battery died on me (normal) and I put it on the charger for the night. It made the battery charging sound and I though everything was fine. The next morning I pulled it off in the morning but did not try to turn it on until a few hours later. The iPod would not respond. It still didn't respond after I plugged it in to another charger and into my computer. I still get no response
