Ok so i completly forgot my iPod Touch password because i havent used it in several days and i was wondering if there is a way to get into my iPod because this is starting to scare me!!! Help please!!!!

You need to enter the wireless encryption password... not the administrative password for the router.

Place the iPod in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

you can try to guess it, but thats it.
You are talking about the "slide to unlock" pass code right? All you can do is guess. You will eventually get locked out of your ipod if you guess it wrong too many times. You cannot restore from backup, because it will have your passcode on it as well.
all you can do is restore as new.

Turn on iCloud (Settings>iCloud>turn everything on you want saved)
After you restore as new, you can sync all your apps and music back over. make sure you write down the icloud account you are signed in to (some people have multiple accounts)

My daughter forgot her ipod touch password. She has never backed it up on itunes before. She has a lot of games and tunes that she purchased. Is there a way to recover that password without losing the downloads? Any help is appreciated!

You will have to place your daughter's iPod Touch into recovery mode to restore the device to default factory settings.
There is no other way to recover a lost password, but to place the device in recovery mode then restore.

If your daughter purchased apps and music from itunes she can re-download from the itunes and apps store apps on her device by tapping the icons on home screen, then signing in with apple id and password.

If your daughter didn't purchase the apps and tunes from the itunes or apps stores, then she will have to re-download or re-purchase the items from where she purchased the apps and tunes initially.

Ipod touch password is locked

My daughters ipod touch is locked and she does not know the password. The laptop that it was originally connected to no longer works. I have an iphone connected to my computer and was thinking I could hook hers up to mine and some how restore hers? When I plug hers in, it says I need the password to do anything. I thought about taking it over to grandma's (no itunes account on her computer) and try to set up a new itunes account for her.....but will it STILL ask for a password? If anybody has any ideas please let me know. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

okay!! you will have to put it in COMPLETE restore mode!!!!!!!!!!
Steps:
1. hold the sleep button for 3 seconds (the off button)
2. then hold the sleep and home button for 10 seconds
3. then let go of the power button
4. still hold the home button for 10 seconds
5. Let go
6. Then turn it on and it should say that you need to plug it into itunes!

If the unknown passcode is in the backup you will have to restore to factory defaults/new iPod otherwise the unknown passcode will still be there.

Connect it to iTunes and click Restore. That's the only way to get around the passcode lock. The Restore will wipe all the data from the IPT, but if you are Restoring from the computer normally used to sync the IPT, everything will be restored once you sync.

Ipod touch password issues

I got an Ipod touch 2nd gen from someone that stepped on it and broke it. I put a new lcd and digitizer on it and got it booted up. There is a password on it. I HAVE searched all around and everything tells me to plug it in. Power it off. power on holding home and power. Let go of power button when I see apple logo. Hold home until it enters restore mode. I have done this 20x now. All it does is boot up. It acts like I am not even holding the home button down at all. Anyone have any advice?

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Connect the iOS device to your computer and and try to make a backup. Yu likely can't make one.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Having sililar problems with one of my 2 ipod touch.
One set up fine. The other however is stuck at the first step!Picture of the itunes logo and the usb cable.
I did manage to set it up fine and get some music on it. However itunes asked that I update the software for the device. I clicked update and now the ipod is back to the start and stuck in that mode.!!
