IPOD Touch printing on Officejet J6480

Will firmware updates be available to print from an ipod touch to an HP Officejet J6480?  The J6480 is setup on a network with our HP desktop (Windows 7), laptops, and ipod touch (4th generation) through a Netgear N600 wireless router.  The ipod works on the network, it just does not recognize the printer.  I do not see the J6480 printer on any of the lists for Airprint, iprint, eprint...etc.
Thanks

Hi C-burg
The firmware update will not fix it as AirPrint is not compatible with the printer you are using.
Please download HP ePrint Home and Biz App on the iPod.
That should help you printing from your iPod to the officejet J6480.
The key is you need to make sure the iPod is connected to the same network as the printer is on.
Please let us know if this help you or if have any questions.

  • How to Download Ipod Touch (print screens) to PC

Im just new to the ipod touch. and i wanted to copy the print sreens of my iPod to my PC. Please HElP

when you have 'saved photos' (i.e. screenshots/print screens, photos saved from safari, or from emails) you will be able to access your iPod from the 'My Computer' screen like you would any other external drive/memory stick. then you can simply copy/move them to your photos folder.

  • Rebates: Ipod Touch & Printer

Hi there! I am not sure if my question fits this topic but still I would like You to kindly clarify for me few poped up issues. My friend purchased Macbook Pro in Switzerland a month ago and got the education offer of the 'free' ipod touch, which was only free upon rebate, and a 'free' printer as well within other promo action. The question is the following: how should she send the documents required to get a rebate - separately or in one envelope? What should she write on the envelope itself - to mention one promo action or both? Moreover, she has not a receipt (which is required to be enclosed) but only a "packing list". Is is enough? In advance thank You?

Tell your friend to talk to the store where she bought her computer. They can answer her questions definitively; we can only guess what they might say.

  • Booklet Printing with Officejet J6480

I was wondering if there are any tutorials for printing an Adobe PDF in Booklet form to make a book using a J6480?
I tried earlier but the print was very small, too small to read and the pages weren't consecutive. I chose Left Binding and Fit t to Page with 2 pages per side. I think I should have chosen Print Last Page First but I didn't notice that option.
The PDF is 200 pages long so I would naturally want to do this right . Can anyone help?

    Hi there tallboy,
This microsoft article should help out with getting booklets setup and printed. Let us know if it helps.
    Best of Luck!

  • Printing from my ipod touch to my hp309 printer

  • Printer on the iPod Touch

    Hello,
I have a problem. I would like to print a photo from my iPod Touch but my cameradoes not recognize any printer. I wonder how do you recognize my iPod Touch a printer.
    Thank you in advance,
    Gabriel.

If you have a Mac with an attached printer, you can use software such as "AirPrint Activator" or "Printopia".  There might be similar utilities for Windows PCs as well.
AirPrint does NOT use bluetooth.  It uses your home WiFi network, and a printer with AirPrint support, or a personal computer that provides an AirPrint utility which will relay your iPod Touch print request to a local printer.
The other alternative is to sync your iPod Touch pictures to your personal computer and then print the printer from your personal computer.
I have an HP printer with AirPrint support (I got it for other reasons, but AirPrint support didn't hurt), and it works very well (although is is only black & white).  I also have "Airprint Activator" installed on a Mac mini which allows me to print to an older printer that does not have Airprint support.

  • I want to print directly from my iPad to a HP Officejet J6480 wireless printer.  Do I need an app for this or can I do it without and if so, how?

I am a new iPad (wi fi version) owner but not the new iPad 2.  I have a home wireless network and have a HP Officejet J6480 wireless printer.  I print from my iMac and Powerbook directly using the wireless network and want to print directly from my iPad also.  Do I need a special app for this or can I do this with something already "built-in" to the operating system of the iPad.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If you're comfortable going 'under the hood', this thread originally started in November 2010 contains a minor tweak to OS X that might work for you:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2658720?threadID=2658720&tstart=0
It allows devices on iOS 4.2 or newer to print to shared wired and wireless printers as long as the Mac is on and awake.

  • IPod Touch conflict with HP 6500 All-in-One printer...

Does anyone know of anyone who has an iPod Touch installed with an HP all-in-one printer and running under Windows 7 64 bit? If so I'd like to hear from them and see if I can pick their brains a bit. In fact, I'd like to hear from anyone who has an iPod Touch working with an HP all-in-one on a desktop system, no matter the OS.
Originally I tried to get them to work together under a 32 bit Windows 7 Premium build on an MSI G31M3-F V2 mobo but couldn't get the iPod and the All-in-One to work together. Either the iPod wouldn't synch or the printer would disconnect.
Yesterday I started with a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit build on an Asus P5Q-EM mobo with just the HP 6500 All-in-One and the printer and all of its functions were working perfectly.
Then I plugged in the iPod, after having installed the newest 64 bit version of iTunes, and it detected the device but wouldn't complete the driver installation. I powered down the HP 6500 and the iPod installation completed.
I then turned the printer on and it appeared to work but the iPod wouldn't complete the sync process unless I turned the printer off.
Then I changed the drive letter of the HP all-in-one's integrated card reader from "E:" to "G:" and rebooted and it appeared that everything was working. I brought the scanner up but didn't actually scan anything but, still, no disconnect messages. Finally, success I thought. Silly me...
Today my daughter tried to send a fax from the computer. It started the scan, stopped after only partially scanning and said that the printer was disconnected.
She then rebooted and tried to scan a photo and it did essentailly the same thing -- a partial scan, froze, and then reported the printer offline.
Uninstalling the iPod Touch device resulted in the printer coming back online and all functions working perfectly.
There is clearly a conflict at the device/driver assignment level and I don't know if its even anything that I can fix.
This should not be this hard.
Has anyone any experience with the iPod Touch running on a desktop that also has an HP All-in-One device installed?

Finally installed a completely new OS and then, before doing anything else, installed iTunes and connected the iPod. Installed everything else with the HP printer being the very last thing.
    Wa La... Worked as advertised...

  • Display of iPod Touch 5 is not Finger print resistant

    Hi all,
I am already in love with my iPod Touch 5. I read in the specs that it has oleophobic coating by which the finger prints on the screen could be avoided.
But I still could see the finger prints.
Did I understand the spec right? Kindly help!!!!!

Actually it says that the display is "Fingerprint-resistant", which doesn't mean that there won't be any fingerprints at all, just fewer than with other displays.
It's like when a watch is "water-resistant", not "waterproof".  Only the second means that no water will get in.

  • Is there a way to connect a HP printer to an Ipod touch iOS 5.1.1

I have an iPod Touch iOS 5.1.1 and I have an HP printer but I can not connect them together on any certain way. I have tried going to youtube and doing it and figuring it out my self but I just can't do it. Is there a problem or something?

If it is airprint enabled just print via AirPrint.
    iOS: AirPrint 101
    - If not, go to the App store and find an App. First try search for HP since there are apps that work with specific printers. There are also apps like PrintCentral that work with many printers.

  • Printing chat logs from an ipod touch???

My daughter has an ipod touch and has downloaded Goober chat to her ipod. It does store chat logs is there any way these chat logs can be printed? If so please state directions in detail as I don't know how to use the ipod touch clearly. Thanks for any help in advance!!
Also if not knowning how this can be done could anyone tell me where I'd get support for this. Do I need to search for Goober support, which I have and could not find any support for, or is this something i need ot contact iTunes for because they supplied the app? I really really need ot print these chat logs!!

i believe there are apps which enable you to print from the ipod. i've never done it though and i dont know if you would be able to
do you know if your daughter's iPod has the 3.0 software upgrade on it? (it was a paid upgrade, perhaps you paid for it?) if so, you would be able to copy and paste the chat logs into an email and email it to yourself (assuming you/your daughter has an email account set up on the ipod)
to copy and paste, you would need to tap the 'goober app' icon. find the area where chat logs are stored, double tap the screen, then click select all.
here is the link to goober support:

  • How can I get my 3rd gen IPOD Touch w/OS 6 to print to my AirPrint enabled Canon MX432 printer?

I can't print from my IPOD Touch to my Canon 432 AirPrint enabled printer. Printer is wireless and works well with 2 desk top computers. Printer can be seen by my wife's IPhone.  IPod OS is 6.0. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm assuming OS upgrades have disabled AirPrint functions.

Have you tried the troubleshooting included here:
    iOS: AirPrint 101
Are you sue you have a 3G (no cameras) iPod with iOS 6? A 3G can only go to 5.1.1 unless jailbroken. Jailbreaking frequently causes problems

  • OfficeJet J6480 Duplex Printing not working

Duplexer is installed correctly with my OfficeJet J6480.  When I try to print a two sided page using AUTOMATIC setting, it prints a page and pushces out the page without rolling it back to print on the other side.  Any input on correcting this issue?
I have the latest drivers installed.

Hi, I had the same problem. There is a setting on the porperties page for your printer. Right click on your printer and select printer properties. When you get the properties page, select the Device Settings tab. Make sure the Duplex Unit  (2 sided printing) is set to Installed.
