IPod touch query

Hi
I would like to query the following please.
I got an iPod touch for my son. And I have his Apple ID that I can keep an eye on it from my phone.
The last update was on the 5th jan.
Would there be any way I can view what's on it today? I know how to check the resent apps that were downloaded through the App Store.
Is there any way I can log into it from my phone to see what's on it now? As we don't have the iPod to hand.
Thanks

You can see what media he purchased by on a computer going to iTunes>Store View Account. Sign into his account and and go to Purchase History.
The only way to know what is on the iPod is to have the iPod in-hand. You can't remotely view the iPod

buenas tardes queria preguntar sobre los juegos en el nuevo ipod touch 5 los juegos que no se ven de toda la pantalla se pueden hacer mas grandes para que se vean de es tamaño de la pantalla

    Google translate:
good afternoon wanted to ask about the games on the new ipod touch 5 games that are not the entire screen can be made larger so they look for is the screen size
You will have to wait for the developer to update the apps to reflect the new screen size for the 5g iPod touch and iPhone 5

  • Ipod touch 4g query: Earphone with mic n remote

    Hi,
can i use the earphone with mic n remote with other applications
on windows 7 like gtalk? Do i need to install any drivers? How about using it on
    Mac with chat applications?
    regards,

Your router is capable of IEEE 802.11 at 2.4 and 5 GHz. Note that, depending on the speed of your ISP and considering that you are using an iPod Touch, whether you use 802.11g, 802.11n (2.4GHz) or 802.11 (5 GHz) will probably not result in any performance difference.

  • Ipod touch 5th gen -cloud query

i have just got an ipod touch 5th gen and when i have synched music to it, some items i bought on itunes is now on the cloud when it wasnt before. My wi-fi is terrible so i cannot listen to music that i used to, what can I do?

To avoid the confusion as to what  has actually been doenload on the iPod go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and Turn off SHOW ALL. The it is clear what is on the iPod.

  • Cannot restore iPod Touch 2G - stuck on "operation 28" case #108375671

iPod Touch 2G with 8GB, got it from Apple Store last week.
I tried restore on 3 different computers - 2 laptops and 1 desktop, running XP SP2 and Vista. Resintalled iTunes(latest version) and Apple Mobile Device drivers a few times. Also created new accounts to restore. None of these works.
Most of the time iTune stuck on the "Waiting for iPod..." screen. Checked the iPodUpdater.log and found the restore process stuck on "operation 28 progress -1" forever. Operations 4, 42, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 3, and then 4 seems to be successful. iTune was also able to read the SerialNubmer and Hardware model.

Apple Engineer: is this a hardware problem?

    Hey Ghost Shell,
This article provides general tips that may resolve the issue.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275
Make sure the iPod is directly connected to a high-speed USB port on the PC and not plugged into a hub, monitor, or keyboard. You can also disconnect any other USB devices, other than the keyboard and mouse.
Try putting the iPod into recovery mode again and restoring as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
If the issue persists after trying the tips above, the iPod may need hardware repair. Make a reservation to have a Genius at a local Apple retail store take a look at it or call AppleCare.

    Google tranlsate:
The ipod was full and I did not want the songs or Android it, went in and tried to restore settings using the "erase all contents and settings", but he started the process and restarted, but when trying to connect it crashes and restarts again , is this infinite loop and does not leave, the battery is full and already tried using the reset buttons holding it. I do not know, connect the computer and it does not appear in itunes. I do not know what else I can try. anyone have any tips?
    - If you can turn the iPod turn the iPod off and place the iPod in recovery mode and then try to restore via iTunes. For how to place in recovery mode see:
iOS: Unable to update or restore
    - I you can't turn the iPod off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try a reset,
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Then try a restore via iTunes using recovery mode if necessary.
    - Also dry DFU mode and then restore.

  • Skype stopped working on ipod touch w 4.3.5?

My skype stopped working on my ipod touch (3rd gen), maybe when I upgraded the ipod touch software to iOS 4.3.5. I have looked everywhere online for an answer (well, looked in the places I could think of). If, for example, I delete my Skype app and re-install it (from my ipod touch device), it doesn't fix the problem.
If I delete my Skype app from iTunes on my laptop and re-install it on my laptop, and then sync it to my ipod touch, this doesn't seem to fix it.
Finally (and I don't know how I did this, as can't seem to find other references to this, I went to safari and googled my problem, from my device. I received a 'skype blue' page stationg 'skype isn't available for your phone' (heading), then 'Due to a mobile upgrade? why not find an iphone, Android or
Symbian phone that works with skype? etc etc. Obviously this is not the right spot (apart from the bleeding obvious, ie that skype doesn't work any more). I am not using it from a smart phone.
when I install or re-install skype on my ipod touch, and click on the skype logo, the skype welcome page has 'skype name' and 'skype password' but I can't enter any data, nor can I hit the 'sign in'. The only thing that works is 'create account' (which I don't want to do, obviously, as already have a skype account).
Any suggestions (written Saturday 3 September 2011). thanks very much
Perhaps the answer lies in returning to an older software version (iOS I mean)? But can only see how to 'restore factory settings' so presumably that would be to a much older software version (or not fix the problem). As you can tell, I may be talking rubbish, sorry.
ps - I have 'flashed my firmware' once some time ago on a laptop I had (PC), but I would be hesitant to try something dramatic, given my lack of knowledge!
FINALLY (promise) in the drop-down box below, after choosing my Product, when choosing Operating System, the highest choice is '4.3.3'. I have 4.3.5 I think. Maybe THIS IS MY PROBLEM??

OH MY GOODNESS, apart from now realising that I wrote way too much (sorry), I have just fixed it (after 1 week of trying, within minutes of posting my first query above). Sorry folks, I told you I had no idea. I won't confess what I did to fix it, unless someone asks me. thanks, Caroline in Sydney

  • New iPod touch stopped working (recovery mode)

    Hi!
I bought a 8 GB iPod Touch 2 weeks ago. It worked fine until today. I left US yesterday and arrived in Europe today.
After the flight I tried to switch on my iPod and its started in recovery mode.
iTunes said I need to restore and upgrade the iPod.
The restore process starts, an Apple logo appears on the screen and a progress circle is moving on the bottom, and iTunes sais "Waiting for iPod...", but nothing happens.
What can I do in this case? I already tried it on a different computer with the same result.
The software version was 1.1.3 when I bought it, and iTunes updated it when I attached it to the computer for the first time to 1.1.4.
    Thx,
    Ders

Now I found the iPod Updater.log file. It sais:

  • How do I set up a second iPod Touch account on my computer?

How do I set up a second iPod Touch account on my computer? Am having trouble.

You seem to know alot, so I am contacting you regarding my query
I bought a second iPod touch for my daughter. My problem is that this second iPod is not being recognized as a device... therefore I cannot sync it or add any content to it. Do you know how I can add a second iPod to my iTunes so that I am able to sync it?
I have gone through all of the troubleshooting (restarting iPod, restarting computer, reseting iPod to factory default...etc). Can you please help me?

  • IPod Touch apps/games problem (Lost and cant redownload)

Hey, I brought two games from the app store recently (AirCoaster 3D and Equilibrio) on the iPod touch using a wifi connection. I didn't connect it to iTunes afterwards and since then my iPod crashed forcing me to restore it which I did. However I used the iTunes backup and it didn't have both these games I purchased so I haven't got these anymore. I cannot find a way to redownload these and it seems I have to buy them again which I am hoping not. Any solutions?
    Thanks

If you haven't got a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on this link you'll be able to email your query: Customer Service - iTunes Store Support

  • IPod Touch 3G Home Button Loose

    Hey All.
I recently got the 3rd Generation iPod 32GB Touch for Christmas and I have used it quite a bit.
I've just noticed that the home button is a bit loose if I use my finger or thumb to move it around a bit.
Are there problems for 3rd Gen iPod Touches or is it due to my excessive use and excessive use of the home button?
Thanks. If only there were exit buttons on the apps then I would not use the home button as much. Wondered if anyone could help me with this query.
    Thanks

Well my parents bought it for me. I believe they did not buy it from an Apple Store but from a store like Currys, PC World etc. Would I still be able to take it to the Apple Store with the reciept?
Is Apple most likely to fix the button or replace the whole thing?
Also I would like to know I downloaded a few apps free and paid and backed them up to my PC so if the whole machine has to be replaced would I be able to copy the apps to the new iPod Touch?
    Thanks Alot.

  • Ipod touch 5 will be the last one?

i waited for todays conference because i wanted to know if an ipod 6 will be realases, but n the conference they didn´t say anything

Hey Hectormonte, No one here can truly answer your query. An old statement that can answer this is "If it makes no sense... Follow the money." This wouldn't be the first time Apple quietly let a model fade away. You would think Apple would update the iPod touch, but sales for it have been reported as being down, where sales for the iPhone and iPads are up. iOS 8 better supports iPhones and iPads. Without more information from Apple this is all I came say, anything more would be speculation, and you cannot do that in the forums. I would not now buy an iPod 5, it's tech is 2+ years old and the A5 chip is struggling with iOS 8+. If your looking for the latest and greatest, I guess your looking at the iPhone or one of the newer iPads. Hope this helps, Cheers.
