  • IPod Touch stuck on Apple Logo Screen

Today, I spilled some water on my iPod touch, but I dried it up right away. Now, however, the iPod is stuck on the apple logo. I've tried holding down the lock and home buttons and the screen will go black and then the apple logo appears again, but it won't go any farther than that. I plugged it into my computer to restore it, but my computer won't recognize it.
Did I kill my iPod, or is there anything I can do? It's less than a year old, so it's still under warranty, but is there any point in bringing it in?

my ipod touch is doing the same thing. it is so frustrating because it is frozen on the apple screen with two lines and won't respond to the computer and sometimes it will go to a screeen we pink vertical lines with the apple screen in the background. i called apple yesterday and they made me wait a day but nothing happened. any advice?

  • IPod touch stuck in Apple logo + waiting circle loop

    Hello everybody,
I have an iPod touch 3g with the latest version of IOS4. It worked perfectly fine until yesterday afternoon, when suddenly it got stuck in a loop, showing me nothing more than the Apple logo and a minute of the spinning circle. After that, the screen goes black for a few seconds and it starts all over again. When I connect it to my MacBook, iTunes has no problem finding the iPod. However, as soon as the loop starts over again, it's no longer listed in iTunes. The things I tried:
    - I tried to restore the iPod. Technically, this worked, however, the device is still stuck in that loop.
    - I tried to drain the battery, and then do practically everything it says on the Apple Support pages and everything I found in this discussion board.
Nothing I did, seemed to do the trick. When I plugged the iPod into my car, I could even listen to music for about a minute, before the loop started over again.
Now, does anyone have any clues what to do? I would really appreciate any form of support, as I'm completely out of ideas. Thanks in advance!

iPhone, iPad or iPod touch: Not responding or does not turn on
See if you can still do a hard reset:
    > Hold the home and power button for 10 second til the screen goes black. Wait about 3 to 5 seconds then turn back on.
    IF no success, try restoring:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    No success, try Recovery Mode:

  • Ipod touch stuck on Apple logo!!!!!! need help!

I shut my ipod touch off during school and immediately went to turn it back on. the apple logo appeared and stayed there and did nothing. after a few seconds it goes away and comes back. i have connected my ipod to the computer and it doesn't come up. please help!!!

Start with a reset - Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button until you see the Apple logo, then let go. You iPod should restart.
If that doesn't do it, you are going to have to put your touch into a recovery mode and restore it in iTunes. To do this, follow the steps in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
