IPod touch stuck on low battery screen

I have had an ipod touch for a year now, and whenever I used to charge it, it took 2 minutes to charge fully and used to last 5 minutes. Now, I haven't charged it for a month because my charger broke. Now when I link it up via USB to my PC, it has a red battery sign on the screen with a thunder sign underneath it, and it stays stuck on this screen. Another problem is that the laptop that it is synced with is broken. How do I fix this problem - resetting the iPod? Getting a new charger? Replacing the battery? Help would be appreciated. Thanks

it sound like you may need a new battery if its not holding charge .

  • IPad 2 stuck on low battery screen

Hello my ipad 2 is stuck on low battery screen and i have tried everything and nothing works, it does not reset and doesnt even enter in DFU mode.. everytime i reset it, it gives me the red battery screen again. i charged it with a wall charger and USB charger to my laptop and nothing works. HELP please

Then this might help you, if you hold both home and power button for 10 -15 seconds.
    If that doesn't work:
plug your device to you mac or pc
    turn off your device
when it's completly black screen. (You have to have your device plugged in)
then hold power button for 3 seconds
without releasing the power button, hold both home and power for 30 seconds.
then you'll be in DFU mode.
    restore.
    Hope this will work.

  • Ipod touch 2nd gen stuck on low battery screen and won't turn on, Ipod touch 2nd gen stuck on low battery screen and won't turn on

My ipod touch was working fine until yesterday it just shut off with about half of charge left. I tried holding the power and home button but nothing. When I plug it into the charging wall outlet the low battery screen pops up and same goes for when I plug it into iTunes on my computer. I let it alone overnight to see if the battery would drain but same thing happened today. What should I do?

I have never seen this answer before but here's what worked for me and I found it accidentally.
I have an iPhone and an iPad and I only had 1 charger (my only Apple cord didn't work anymore so I had thrown it out and I thought maybe that was the problem, except my iphone charged fine with my pink cord) by my bedside, so I would just hook up the one that needed it the most before I went to bed.  Well one day I woke up to find that my iPad had a low battery, with the red battery picture. When I plugged it into the charger, it just kept recycling to the Apple logo and then the spinning wheel of death, and back again.
I did some research and couldn't figure it out. People who thought it was a dead battery still had the same problem after they sent it in and got a new battery  My iPad is not jail broken and half the "solutions" were over my head. I have over 1300 apps on my iPad, not to mention thousands of pictures, that I was just feeling so bereft and sad that I might have lost everything.  So I just let my iPad sit, and drained the whole battery down to the nubbin.  It was 2-3 days without a charger that I just let it sit.
Then I put it on the charger again and I noticed I still got the red battery symbol, but the red was a thinner slice. I went to work and left it on the charger all day. When I returned, one of my FB notifications came on and bam, there it was, my sign on screen or whatever it's called, where you slide the thingy across. And it was back!!!!!!
So I was overjoyed.  I'd also had a problem syncing with a warning that it overloaded my USB port. It was a separate problem, but I was able to sync it after that, and my iPhone too, so I was ecstatic.
Then the battery thing happened again about a week later.  I thought I had been diligent about keeping it charged but it went down after only a day off the charger.  Realized that I had FB and mail notifications notifying me in the startup screen, so that it was constantly turning itself on and off.  I have almost 5000 FB friends and 10 email accounts, so that was a lot of steady activity that I wasn't really aware of.  I have now turned off all notifications to every app, since they also come on my phone AND I bought a 2nd cord, a purple one, so now I'm set and don't expect to ever have that problem again.
Hope this helps everyone who thought they had a brick.

  • Ipod touch stuck on computer connection screen

My ipod touch is showing the connection screen but it's not connected to the computer. I restarted and did a factory restore and it still shows the connection screen. Any suggestions?

Did the iPod successfully complete the restore?
How did you restart the iPod since you have to connect the iPod to a computer before you can restart an iPod.

  • IPod touch stuck on USB connect screen but not recognized by iTunes

I downloaded the update for my iPod via iTunes but when the update attempted to install on the iPod, I received a message that the update failed. Now, my iPod is stuck on the USB connect screen (with the image of a cord below an arrow pointing to the iTunes logo). Every other thread says to connect to iTunes and attempt to reset the device (off and home button for several seconds) so I can restore it through iTunes, but even if I do that, it fails to connect to iTunes. Last time I had problems connecting to iTunes I downloaded the update through the iPod itself but seeing as I can't get off the USB connect screen, downloading it from the iPod is impossible. How can I get my iPod working again? Either getting it off the frozen screen so I can download the update, or getting my computer to recognize it so I can restore? Last time it wouldn't connect to iTunes (when it wasn't frozen) the computer still recognized it but now it does not. (I'm on a Windows 8 laptop)

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My ipod is stuck on low battery!!!!! and wont charge

this might be a lil long but please bare with me!
my ipod wont charge. i whiped out my computer last weekend and had to put all my songs back onto my ipod. it was fully charged and worked fine for me.. now my battery is dead and ive plugged it into my computer and right before the ipod died it said i needed to restore it. and i couldnt bc my internet was down. now my ipod battery is dead and i cant charge it.. does anyone kno what to do? and when i plug my ipod in, it shows a battery with a circle on it and under it it says very low battery please wait.. and there is that little flower looking thing and it shows as if it was loading but nothing is happening it wont charge and i cant restore it.. is their any other way to do it??? i charged it mostly on my elbow that i had in my car but i dont have that anymore!! please get back to me, id appreciate it..

I dont know if this can help anybody, but I got the same issue. I sent the iPod to Apple for repair twice, and they sent it back to me saying their was noting wrong with it. I had the time to sync it once, then it got stuck on the Apple logo, and after a while the "very low battery" message showed.
It turn out the I got a playlist in iTunes of more then 65000 song (I dont know how my sons did it...) and it somehow messed the iPod completelly.
To reset it, I force the iPod into diskmode: you reset it using the center-menu buttons combo, then immediatly press the center and play buttons. It turns the iPod into disk mode and then you can restore it in iTunes.
    Hope this help

  • IPod Touch stuck on Apple Logo Screen

Today, I spilled some water on my iPod touch, but I dried it up right away. Now, however, the iPod is stuck on the apple logo. I've tried holding down the lock and home buttons and the screen will go black and then the apple logo appears again, but it won't go any farther than that. I plugged it into my computer to restore it, but my computer won't recognize it.
Did I kill my iPod, or is there anything I can do? It's less than a year old, so it's still under warranty, but is there any point in bringing it in?

my ipod touch is doing the same thing. it is so frustrating because it is frozen on the apple screen with two lines and won't respond to the computer and sometimes it will go to a screeen we pink vertical lines with the apple screen in the background. i called apple yesterday and they made me wait a day but nothing happened. any advice?

  • Ipod touch stuck in USB- Itunes screen

I just got this iPod from my sister for school. So I was downloading Itunes and I was putting some pictures on it. Then the next time I tried to connect it to my computer it kept saying something like "iPod could not be connected to computer please reset settings" so I hit restore in Itunes. The a get a message like this "Your iPod could not be restored." I look at my iPod and notice that it has the itunes logo with a usb cord pointing towards it, and that's it. Mind you, my iPod was plugged into the computer the whole time and it said it recognized my ipod before the update, but now, it doesn't. So basically, I just have a piece of **** ipod that will not work. Awesome. My itunes library is working great, and I even downloaded the latest version (I think it was 10.6.1) but I had already 10.6 before I did any of this, since I just recently downloaded itunes to my laptop. So my itunes is up to date. Itunes will not recognize the iPod at all, but when I plug the usb cord, my laptop makes a noise and that's about it. My computer does not show up any device being plugged in, so nothing recognizes the ipod. I've already scanned through most of the discussion and cannot find a solution. I've already tried the DFU method, which I can't even do that since the screen stays the same, no matter what. It's basically stuck on the itunes/usb screen. If I hold the power button down, it will make the screen go black, but then it will start back up if I press it again, so it's like not even shutting down. I've been to:

And yet, my device still will not work. It is stuck on that screen, my laptop won't recoginze the device, iTunes won't recognize the device, and I'm out school resource... So yeah, help???

Unless iTunes sees the iPod when connected on another computer, it is time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. I do not know of anything else to try.

  • IPod touch stuck on iCloud Backup screen

Every so often a pop up tells me that I haven't back up my iPod in __ weeks. I don't get to connect it to a computer that often, so that's why.
It popped up today and I clicked OK so it would go away. But when I went to get on my iPod later, it was still there. It's there along with 'slide to unlock' , which I cannot do.I also can't power it down like I normally do. I read online that to fix this you'd have to hold both the top button and the home button at the same time to turn if off. My home button does not work and I've been using assistive touch. I've tried fixing my home button, but nothing has worked.
So my question is how do I fix this? I can't restart it. Should I just wait until it's out of juice and powers down by itself?

    You can try:
    - Connecting it to your computer and backup and restore via iTunes
    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    - Let the battery drain as you said.

  • IPhone will not restore and is stuck on low battery screen?

I let my iPhone 3g's battery run flat a few days ago by accident, since then I have not been able to get the phone to recognize it is being charged. I plugged it into my mac and put it in DFU mode (i think), but my iTunes popped up with 'Unknown error, this iPhone can not be restored'. Now when ever I try to get it into DFU or restart it nothing happens except the red flashing no battery sign shows?
