IPod touch UDID change?

Okay, next month, I'm possibly going to switch over to a Mac from a PC and I was wondering if my UDID changes when I switch computers, or if it just stays on my iPod all the time. I'm concerned about this because I have the 3.0 beta on my PC, but if I don't have the same UDID when I switch over, my iPod won't work anymore. Help please.

UDID stands for "Unique Device ID" and therefore stays with your unique device, no matter what you do to it.

Ipod touch keeps changing new album artwork

Ive been trying to figure out why my ipod touch keeps changing my new album/songs artwork and i cant figure it out. I deleted the artwork then readded it and it didnt work. Deleted the itunes cache and that didnt work. Im so close to saying for it get it. Any suggestions?

That happens sometimes
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

I got a first generation IPOD TOUCH for my husband and want to take some songs From my Computer that is hooked up to MY newer IPOD (not Touch, just IPOD) Is it possible to take the music from my ITUNES account and add the his IPOD Touch without changing

I am trying to take songs from my PC AND My Itunes account and send them to my husband's IPOD TOUCH First Generation BUT I don't want to change my whole ITUNES account that is already on my computer. When I plug HIS Ipod Touch into the PC, my ITUNES account wants me to CHANGE the DEVICE Name on the account and I don't want to do that. I only want to share SOME of my songs on my Itunes account and send them to h is IPOD TOUCH? Is this possible and HOW! Thanks a ton!!! I "checked" off the songs that I want to send but that's as far as I get before it asks me to change the Device Name?

Is his iPod usually synced to a different iTunes library/computer? If so, that would explain the message iTunes is giving you. An iPod is designed to sync with only one computer/iTunes library at a time. If you try to sync it with a new library, the iPod's contents will be erased and replaced with what is in the newer/different iTunes library.
So if there is content you would like to add to his iPod, simply transfer it from your iTunes library to his.

Why does my iPod Touch keep changing the date and year?

Whenever I charge my iPod Touch after it completely dies, Safari never loads whatever site I'm trying to go on and the date always goes to Thursday, January 1st, 1970. I noticed the time always changes as well. i.e. it's 10:47am now and the time on the iPod says 5:35am. I don't know how or why it keeps doing this. I didn't mind it the first 2 times, but this keeps happening everytime I turn it on. Does anyone else's do this??

How to keep ipod touch from changing networks

I want to lock my iPod touch 2G to a specific network and not have it change and drop it's connectivity. I have ten networks at work and it keeps jumping from network to network. Any ideas on doing this?

there is an option called
"ask to join networks"

My son changed the accessibilities settings on his ipod touch. He turned the triple-click home ON and turned the inverted colors ON and did something that makes it say everything you touch. Now that he has changed this, I can not get his Ipod touch to let me scroll down to the accessibilities part of the setting to change anything back. He can not us his itouch now because of the setting that were changed. HELP!

You have the accessibility VoiceOver and other features turned on.
Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver and the other ones off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see the following for how to turn off via iTunes:

IPOD TOUCH 5G CHANGED TO "PREPARING FOR SHIPMENT YESTERDAY" WHEN WILL IT BE SHIPPED? ANYONE?

I ordered my ipod touch white/silver engraved on oct 10. It change to preparing for shipment yesterday 10/18 and today its been 24 hrs. and still no change to shipped. it says estimated delivery 24-26 of october? anyone have same issue or an answer! THANKS !

I preordered an iPod Touch (5th generation) red 32gb with engraving on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012. Status changed to preparing for shipment on Thursday, Oct. 18, and shipped by Fed Ex on Saturday, Oct. 20. My iPod Touch travelled: KUNSHAN CN- SHANGHAI CN- ANCHORAGE, AK- MEMPHIS, TN- OAKLAND, CA-PACHECO, CA- CONCORD, CA-Delivered on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012.

Ipod touch wont change theme from black

I have an ipod touch with software 4.2 but when i go to settings and try to change the theme(behind the apps) it only lets me change the lock screen picture. Please help

IPod touch keeps changing playlist order.

My iPod touch keeps rearranging the order of my podcast play list. I have them arranged by composer (i placed the release date in the composer slot) and sort them from oldest to newest. This never happens on either my 30gig video or 80gig classic, just my 32gig touch. I turned off shake to shuffle and the shuffle icon is not highlighted. Is there any way to keep this from happening?

I have the same problem with all of my playlists. It is a problem for my playlists designed for my workouts as they are arranged by beats per minute. I have also tried to turn off the the shake to shuffle but it didn't work. If anyone has a solution, please help!!

IPod Touch name change after updating to 3.1.1

After upgrading from 3.0 to 3.0.1 itunes changed the name oftouch the touch. Why, and is there a way I can change it back?

I experienced the same bug. What is double irritating is that after restoring the name of the iPod, backup in iTunes was starting from scratch, invoking an entire fresh and very long backup of the iPod.
The 3.1.1 update process was for me the most bug-ridden update yet (and I'm updated from 3.x).

Ipod touch automatically changed my password?!?!?!

I recently had a system malfunction. My ipod died one night and i plugged it in the day, i had it set to a four number password. When i unlocked it, the alphabet password to unlock popped up. I HAVE NOT changed my password or touched it since it died. I tried to reset it multiple times without luck, an error message kept coming up in itunes. I tried to call apple but all they wanna do is charge me 30 dollars to file a complaint which is not something i wanna do considering its not my fault apples product doesnt work. i have taken really good care of it. No drops or anything, why wont it work!!!!!!

Since restoring from backup did not work I know of no way except to cut and paste them from the MacBook.

Ipod touch always changes the time and date when synced

Since I got my touch, even before any updates etc, every time I sync it the time and date changes, usually back about a week or so. Anyone else got this problem or any solution as its really annoying me. A cutting edge bit of kit that has practically every function that works so well and the clock and calendar cant keep time? weird....

Not true in all cases, I updated to 2.0 and had 2 problems: One App had a Bug *NOT Apple`s fault*, and the second was another App ( again, not Apples fault ) that went back to home screen after opening. This was solved by a simple reset ( I have the first batch of Touches, 16 gb ). And the battery thing, I haven`t noticed it at all, I have an almost full charge, and have been using it for 4 days, never shut it down, only sleep mode when not in use.

IPod Touch Passcode Change Not Recognized

I changed my passcode lock, even noted it down so I wouldn't forget it, and now the passcode is not recognized. I tried using the old passcode just in case the new one hadn't been saved, and that isn't recognized either. Itried powering down. So now, I can't get into my iPod and I really don't want to do a full reset. Any ideas?

There really aren't any other options at this point except to connect the iPod to your syncing computer and restore it.

IPod touch keeps changing the date, time, and timezone on its own

Yesterday I noticed that the iPod was showing the wrong date, so I fixed it. I also checked the computer I was syncing to, but it had the correct date, time, etc. Now when I woke up the iPod today, the time, date, and timezone had all been changed again. Has anybody else had this problem, or know what I need to do to stop it? Thanks!

When you sync the iPod, you have to sync it with a "new" iTunes window.
Before you connect the iPod, exit out of iTunes, then reload it, and finally connect your iPod to it.
I believe there was a software update that fixed this...
