Ipod Touch unresponsive to tap in final selection of an app.
I search for an app, find and select it, and take it to final step where you normally depress the 'free' 'button' to right of full page app description and nothing happens. System acts like normal until final screen when tap is unresponsive. Any idea if I can do something on my own system setup to correct or is this an Apple Store issue?
If you look around on this forum, you will see that many others are having the same problem since 12/16 or 12/17. My original iPhone running iOS 3.1.3 is one. In addition to the problem with the "Free" and "$x.xx" buttons not working, there are other more minor issues, such as the images of apps under the description no longer allow the user to scroll to the right, and the "Tell a friend" button near the bottom doesn't work, either.
It has been suggested under other threads that Apple is discontinuing support of these older devices, but I haven't seen anything official yet. I have been e-mailing Apple (through their "Express Lane"), but they haven't been very helpful yet. :-(

Yes. You can set the payment method to "None" once you log into iTunes on your PC/Mac. I have it set up this way.

an ipod touch supports all files types which its apps supportthanks, it's good to get a reply, but why do you keep going on about windows? Agreed, there is no mention that Tremor runs on iOS. So far this is the only reason given that it cannot run on iOS. You can read and I can read.
By putting the question to the community I was hoping for something like: the app you want is here-link, or the app you want cannot be written because technical-reason.
From a words point of view it would seem to be open for any ios developer to support DMG files. -

I just recently bought an Ipod touch. It will not allow me to purchase apps. It askes me for my billing information and once i put it in it tell me to go to the Itunes support center. My ipod touch is telling me that the Skype and Twitter apps need updating. When I try to update them they both fail. I have tried numerous times. I have tried connecting the ipod to itunes and removing the apps, to reload them but that does not work either. If I try and update the apps through itunes the system tells me they are updated. On my ipod touch, i can't seem to get the imessage app.. I have updated my itunes and even restored the ipod to factory settings with the latest update. Maybe the ipod is too old? Is that even a thing? Is there another app I can download to have access to my contacts with imessage?
That comes with iOS 5 (Settings>General>About>Version) and only the 3G abd later iPods can go to iOS 5 or later

I have 300 apps organized in folders on my ipod touch 4th gen, and connected my iphone 4, these apps have copied over but none have been placed in folders, any ideas how to replicate folders from ipod to iphone...?
What may work is to restore the iPhone fom the backup of the iPod. However, if the two devices ahve different apps that come with the device, that may mess up some of the folders.

In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

iPod Touch 2nd Gen can stream Youtube but cannot stream Apps that supports Online Video Streaming , it just kicks itself out of the app.
It used to be able to stream apps that supports Online Video Streaming , tried Restore a couple of times and it didn't help .
What could the issue be ?The ESPN Radio is basically a Paid radio station.Make sure you have enuff balance to stream a radio from your Iphone. .

My Ipod touch plays music but every time I open an app that I have downloaded it closes immediately. This started happening after updating to the latest version of Ipod software.
Here's a couple things to try:
1. Reset the iPod by holding the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
2. Uninstall and reinstall one of your purchased apps. Sometimes this can rectify the issue.
3. Connect the iPod to iTunes and restore it. New system software usually resolves the issue. Make sure you sync before restoring because a restore removes the data from your iPod.

He are some apps that are still compatible for iOS 4.2
> Pandora Radio (supports iOS 3 or better)
> Army of Darkness: Defense (support iOS 3 or better)
> Jet Fighters: ONLINE
> Jet Fighters II: ONLINE
These are the apps that I know that supports iOS 4.2...... get these before the their next updates.
Some of these apps may be laggy but still playable.
BUT IF YOU DO UPGRADE TO BETTER IPOD...... I would get the iTouch 4g OR 5g because of iOS 6 and use of camera and better graphics.
