It's terrible!
I'm very unhappy with iOS 6
I have an iPod touch 4th gen, not jailbraked and since I upgraded to iOS 6 it's a disaster
It runs slow, the App Store crashes, safari doesn't run smoothly etc
I want to downgrade to iOS 5.1.1 but I don't know how
Apple needs to do something ASAP !

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.
You can try the following for problems other than the App store problem.
Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

Sometimes and ISO update breaks compatibioity and a firmware update the the dock is required or an iOS update is required.
Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.

I have an iPod Touch 16GB 2G that currently runs on iOS 3.1.3. When I check for updates to the software in iTunes, I'm told that the software is up to date. Yet, online, many sources say that my iPod touch can be upgraded to iOS 4.2.1. But, I cannot figure out how to download/install. Please help direct me to where in iTunes, the iTunes Store, or online I can download and install this older software upgrade.

Sorry but Apple only allows you to update to the latest iOS.

I upgraded my Ipod touch version to iOS 6.1.3 yesterday & the problem is that as i sync my ipod & the,computer,my computer sync only contacts & after showing determining apps to sync, my computer won't sync any others anymore.
It abruptly stop sync & when i start over the process, it still operates the same.

Upgraded Ipod touch 4G to IOS 6.0

Recently I had upgraded my Ipod Touch 4S to IOS 6.0,and ever since i have wifi problem. it doesnt seem to remember the router password and i have to keep putting it again and again. seccondly I find that the battery life is considerably less now than with IOS 5.0.

Upgrading ipod touch 3 to iOS 6

Impossible upgrading ipod touch 3, from IOS 5.1.1 to IOS 6. Why ? Is it a decision of Apple ?
Note that I have also a ipod touch 4, and I had no problem to upgrading it to IOS 6.

The hardwae on the 3G iPod does not support iOS 6. The 4G marginally supports iOS 6.

Radiation, global warming maybe... Really don't know, the time should update when you connect to the internet. You could also try resetting and see if it corrects. Are you sure the clock your comparing with is set to the correct time? Good luck, Cheers.

It's a 64G ipod touch and was fine till Apple told me to upgrade to ios 6. Now most of my apps crash, my music won't play and I just get a white screen when I hit Music.
When I try to sync to itunes it acts like it's going to sync and appears to recognize the ipod, but it's grayed out and has an update circle by it that spins for a while until itunes eventually freezes alltogether. Is there a way to go back to ios 5 after a erase and reset?

So I really want to update my ipod touch 4 to ios 5, as it has many new features. The problem is, i am afraid to because i am worried that all my apps, music, and pictures will get deleted. I know many people say to back it up, but when you back it up, do you press update and then does all your data get saved? If not what do you have to do. I read so many answers on how to back up and update but im still in doubt. Also, the songs on my ipod are not from my itunes, they are from my cousins, so do i have to back up on her pc? Apple has stopped signing iOS 5 firmware. The latest version available for your iPod is 6.1.3. You must first backup your iPod then press Check for Update. Backing up will save all of your data on the iPod Touch and your sync options. And no, you can backup on your PC, press Sync and allow iTunes to transfer purchases and copy them to your iTunes library. If your iTunes library does not contain the music on your iPod, I recommend trying to drag it to your library from your iPod. And make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes. When the update finishes, restore your iPod from the backup you made. And to save pictures from your Camera Roll, go into My Computer and open the iPod and copy the pictures to your computer.

PC Won't Recognize iPod Touch 5G with iOS 7.0.2

I'm having problems transferring photos on my iPod Touch 5G with iOS 7.0.2 to my laptop running Windows Vista.
When I connect the USB cable from my device to my laptop, iTunes opens and begins syncing with my device and that's all it does. Autoplay won't open. When I manually check to see if my iPod Touch is listed on my PC (Start > Computer), it's not listed. Help!

I try to update my ipod touch 4th gen. to the new iOS 4.3 software and the thing loads and after the 7-8 minutes or so, when it says "processing file" a pop up says that the network connection has timed out, and to check my network settings. I've tried several different times and get the same result. My wi-fi is working with all three bars and my computer is also connected to the internet. I've tried restoring it but it says I have to get the new software and then I get the same result( this time ipod not restored).... What's going on with my ipod? Anyone help?

Have you tried to see if you have the newest version of iTunes? Also, it may help if you try the following steps.
Download iOS from a third-party website (i reccomend http://whited00r.com/) (as this is a full operating system, it is a big download and may take time on a slow internet connection)
Unzip the file.
After unzipping, you should now have a .ipsw file.
Open iTunes
Connect your device and make sure you take a back-up of it first (if you don't all your data will be erased)
Now, while pressing the Restore button, hold down the Alt key (for Mac) or the Shift key (for Windows).
You should now have a window open asking you to choose a file.
Choose the file you just downloaded from whited00r.com
Press OK
It should start replacing your current OS to the new one.
When this finishes, your device will restart
Click restore from (whatever your old device was called)
It will put back all your apps and information
