IPod touch wi-fi not working, help?

My iPod touch's wi-fi is not working after updating with iOS 6, and I'm not sure what to do. I click on my wi-fi name and it puts the blue check mark next to it but then when the sign in page pops up, the actual bar for me to enter the password isn't there. It's literally just a white page. Help?

Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Do other devices now connect?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

    You do have it turned on ins settings>Privacy, right?
    For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod can't see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.
    You can confirm that by going to place with a know located router like Starbucks or McDonalds

I think it is not working because I forgot the wi-fi network while they were working on it.     Try the following to rule out a software problem:                 
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

    Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.
    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

    After water got in my iPod the backlight does not work. I tried putting it in rice for a few days but the backlight still did not work.
    Then I replaced the LCD with the same result. Everything but the backlight works.

Like the clicking sound fro the keyboards, alarms, and even music wouldnt work. Today the clicking sound came back but went again. I tried a reset and restore. still nothing. I noticed that everytime i turn off the volume and i go to music or anything that involves volume, the volume automatically adjusts to full. i dnt know if this is normal. Please help me!!

    I have just received my third iPod touch that already has some new problems just to annoy me(of the conection-prolems sort).
    This is definetly a hardware problem! But you could try to be sure that nothing is left in your headphone jack. And your volume problem is weird but not unusual.
    (Excuse my bad english please)
    Oh and try to set the volume settings to adapt to one level.
    Another reason could be a faulty volume rocker switch.
