IPod touch won't "pair" with IPad 2

Has anyone been able to pair their iPod touch with their iPad? I want to use the remote on Slide Shark or Keynote to wirelessly control the presentation on my iPad and can't get them to recognize each other. Any suggestions or work-arounds? I don't have an iPhone and the apps are not supported on my Droid phone. Thanks!

For an iPhone and an iPad, the two devices just have to have Bluetooth turned on witin range and be running Keynote Remote and Keynote respectively. The two apps connect across Bluetooth; the devices do not need to pair.
Does that not work with your iPod touch?

An iPod can pair to an iPhone for tethering to the phones internet connection if the phone is subscribed to the optional tethering data plan. IPod touch won't pair with Bose bluetooth anymore.

I've been using my new Bose Bluetooth speaker with the newest iPod touch and I connected fine and it's been playing everything good for weeks. When I usually play it my iPod is on a dock charger but when i put it on my ihome today and tried to choose Bose everything froze and disconnected now when I try to connect it with the speaker it won't go and read the manual and tried resetting the speaker but the iPod won't connect and they're both in discoverable. I don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone know how to fix this?

No. If your MacBook has an Intel processor you can update to OSX 10.6.8 and then install the latest iTunes.
A 5G iPod with iOS 7 requires that if you have a Mac you have OSX 10.6.8 or later.

I may have solved it from another post....the "sync music" tab wasn't clicked under "Summary/Music". I had recently downloaded a more recent version of iTunes, and it may have defaulted to that....sigh.....

Have just put snow leopard onto my mac book 4.1. Can't get my ipod touch 5.1.1 to sync with itunes. It syncs with iphoto every time, but no device comes up in itunes or in finder. I have the latest software updates on both mac & touch. Any ideas?

New iPod Touch will not pair with New Resound Linx hearing aid

Greetings
Received a new pair of hearing aids aweek ago, Resound Linx. Very nice indeed.
Days after I purchase a New iPod Touch, down loaded all updates and the Resound Smart app.
Followed instructions to the letter but am unable to pair the hearing aids with the iPod.
Hearing aids work fine and have fresh batteries. Bluetooth turned on, iPod continues to search
but can not find hearing aids. Has anyone had this problem, can anyone offer any suggestions.

Wireless Keyboard 2011 won't pair with iPad 2

I have an aluminuim wireless keyboard 2011 which was paired successfully with my iPad 2 (with all recent software updates).
I now can't pair it at all. Here are some details:
1. The keyboard has never been paired with anything else.
2. The keyboard goes into discovery mode (green light flashing) - but won't stop flashing, even when the silver button on the side to the right is held for more than 10secs (or even 1min!)..... so the only way to turn it off is to take the batteries out.
3. The batteries are fine.
4. The iPad searches, but doesn't find the keyboard - there are no other devices listed either.
5. Because there are no devices listed, I can't 'unpair' the keyboard - that's if it's still paired somehow in the ipad's internal brain!
6. The one time it did find it, and I tried to pair - a message came up saying I should make sure the device was turned on and that pairing was unsuccessful. This was whilst the green light continued to flash.
7. I've tried doing this in all sorts of orders: search first, then put batteries back into keyboard (light flashes); keyboard ready to go, then turn bluetooth on and search; search holding silver button on keyboard down the whole time, etc.
8. Yes - I've powered down the iPad and turned it back on again! :-P
I've tried anything I've found doing an online troubleshooting search - but nothing has worked. So far I've spent three hours on this.
There's no Apple Store near me.
Help?

In the end I had to travel an hour by train to get to an Apple Store.
After doing a complete reset on the iPad the keyboard now works. But I had to reconfigure it as a new iPad, rather than restore the backup - in case whatever caused the problem is put back onto the iPad. Which meant I could only sync apps that had their own accounts (like Evernote). I've lost all the photos, notes, Good Reader & Pages documents. :-( Wish I'd never bothered with the wireless keyboard.
And still no idea what caused the problem in the first place. So now I'll save everything that's important separately, rather than through the iCloud backup.

Iphone 6 won't pair with ipad air on ios8

I want to use Continuity to be able to text non Apple phones (Android) from my iPad. I learned that to do that you have to turn on Personal Hotspot and pair your devices via Bluetooth. My devices won't pair. They connect for a few seconds and drop or won't connect at all.

Sorry to bother y'all. I found the answer.
The iPad also gains the ability with iOS 8 to send traditional SMS text messages via a connected iPhone. Previously, users could only said iMessages to Apple devices. While SMS messaging was available to test in iOS 8 beta releases, it is not included in the final release, and Apple has said it will become active in October.
All of this same functionality will be coming to newer Bluetooth Low Energy capable Macs later this year with the launch of OS X Yosemite, which will also be a free update.

Ipod touch does not pair with Oticon streamer

After upgrading the firmware of my Oticon EPOQ streamer to v1.4, the ipod touch did pair with the streamer the 1st night, but read the paired device as Streamer 1.3. The next day, when trying the ipod, it did read that version anymore in bluetooth search. It now reads Streamer 1.4.
However, when setting the streamer to pairing mode, the password panel came up on ipod (so it did start pairing) and I entered the password and the pair button... now I keep getting the Connection Unsuccessful error message, Make sure 'Streamer 1.4' is turned on and in range. Not only that the Streamer 1.4 device still shows in bluetooth menu as Not Connected (not as Not Paired).
It seems to be a combined issue between Oticon and Apple, now how can I fix it?

Some docks are not compatible with iOS 5. Ceeck with the manufacturer. Other users have post problems with iOS 5 and iHome docks too.

My 2nd gen iPod Touch won't sync with itunes

windows recognizes it- but itunes says "unknown error (0xE8000065)" everytime it's plugged into the USB. I seriously can't figure this one out.

I charged my brand new ipod touch via my computer, have it plugged it into my computer's USB port, and Itunes acknowledges the device in the left hand menu BUT it automatically says "itunes could not connect to the itunes store. The network connection has timed out". The ipod will not sync with my itunes! I tried connection/disconnecting, turning the ipod on and off, and restarting the computer. No luck. What do I need to do? Please help, I was so excited to get the new ipod and now I can't use it! I have window's vista and I don't know anything about how to check or change computer settings that might be preventing the store from opening (it used to open, but I haven't tried in a while and I just downloaded version 9.2 today).

I am old time iTunes user who just got new Ipod touch. It starts to sync but at last step message is "Waiting for next stage" or something and it won't sync. I tried everything I can think of. I have lastes iTunes version. My old ipod still updates and syncs works fine.

Maybe this:

or

If not what did the message say?
