IPod Touch wont startup past the Apple
Today I was driving and listening to my Ipod with a Belkin FM transmitter, the same one I have been using for years. Well half way through my ride, my ipod just cut off. I have one of the first ipod touches that came out and when I press the button on the front nothing happens. The only response I get from my ipod is when i hold the top button for 3-5 seconds the black screen with the apple in the middle comes up for about 5-7 seconds then turns off again. What do I need to do?

Can someone please help with my issue listed - My ipod 4G wont go past the apple logo when I turn it on - it will stay on the apple logo for few min, then blanks out and back to the apple logo. Any tips are very much appreciated.Place the iPod Touch into DFU mode. This will be similar to what the factory would do to install the iOS onto new iOS devices.
Placing it into DFU mode will allow you to "format" and install the current iOS for that device.
To place your iOS device into DFU mode.
First connect you iOS device to you computer.
Open iTunes if not already open
Now turn off your iOS device using the power swipe.
Press the home and sleep button on your iOS device for 10 seconds.
Release the sleep button but carry on holding down the home button. For another 10 seconds.
Your iOS device should now be on DFU. Click on restore and iTunes will download the latest iOS for your device.
Hopefully that sorts it if not, you will have to go to a service centre or call Apple Care up and get them to collect it and repair it. (replace it) Or go into an Apple Store. -

i found this method after much serching on the net
1. Connect your device to yourcomputer and open iTunes.
2. Hold down the “Home”button.
3. Keeping “home” held in holdthe “sleep/wake” button.
4. Keep both held in until theapple logo shows
5. As soon as the apple logoshows release the “sleep/wake” button.
6. Keep the “Home” button heldin until the iTunes logo and a picture of the USB lead is shown.
7. Now release the “Homebutton and follow the instructions within iTunes.
also i could not see the ipod on itunes but folowed the instructions and the computer found it

Ipod touch wont load past apple screen. I have tried resetting by holding home button and on/off but after it resets it still only loads to the apple screen. When I plug the device in It stays on the apple screen and itunes does not recognize it? I fear it may be stuck in some sort of reset loop which is stopping itunes from recognizing it. my ipod froze so i turned it off, then it turned on and now wont go past the apple logo i have tryed holding down the lock and the home screen button in together and it just restarts and stays on the apple logo, i managed to put it into disk mode, where it comes up with the conect to itunes picture, but my computer is not finding/reconising it, so there fore i can not restore it, what do i do? please help!

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with your device. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on - Apple Support
Your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch may occasionally stop responding to buttons, switches, or touchscreen input and may exhibit one or more of these symptoms:
Does not return to the Home screen after you press the Home button
Does not wake from sleep after you press the Sleep/Wake button
Does not turn on (or power on) when you press any button
Does not start up past Apple logo
Appears frozen or unresponsive
Is unable to "Slide to Unlock" or "Slide to Power Off"
To troubleshoot these symptoms:
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.

My IPOD TOUCH is frozen with the Apple logo sitting there on the screen. I have already reset the ipod because it was freezing up so I reset it, but now it won't shut off or got o main screen it just sits with the logo on it. I can't turn it off. The screen will also flash as though it will turn off then goes back to the logo screen. Does anyone know what the heck is going on with my IPOD? It's reall frustrating me...ALOT!!!

- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Power Mac G5 wont boot past the Apple Logo
Mac: Power Mac G5 2.7Ghz DP w/ 4gb RAM (2x1gb, 4x512mb), Leopard
Last week, I formated this computer and reinstalled OS X 10.5. I updated everything, reinstalled all my applications and replaced my documents. Everything was good for a couple days. I have and HP 1350 all-in-one printer (which HP no long has mac support for that model, so I can only use the scanner as a photocopier, but that's not the issue, it prints fine and I have printed files since the formatting) The printer is connect via USB to my Power Mac and then shared on my home network, wirelessly, with 2 other MacBooks and a 27" iMac. My roommate was trying to print something from his MacBook. In the printer queue on the MacBook, the file would say it was printing, but nothing would actually printer. When I went to the printer settings on the Power Mac, the dialog box said the printer was "in use." I reset the printer, nothing happened. I restarted the Power Mac, properly, and now the computer wont boot past the Apple logo. The spinning gear appears and spins for a minute or 2 and then it will just reboot on its own. It will just keep doing this in a continuous loop.
I've tried to boot into safe mode (holding shift) but it still does the same thing.
I manage to get the CD drive open by booting into open Firmware. I restarted the computer and was able to boot from the Leopard disc. I ran disk utility, and repaired the drive and the permission but everything was ok.
I've unplugged any USB device connect but to no avail.
I really don't want to reinstall Leopard again. it took almost 8 hours to install all the applications (such as Logic, Komplete 5, etc) and I had not setup time machine. There are some document files that I would prefer not to loose, but could deal with the loss.
any suggestions?Ok, so I reinstalled Leopard, all my documents were in the "Previous Systems" folder, and the applications where present. I went to Software Updates to download all the need updates, which included 10.5.8, itunes, security fixes, etc. It notified my that I would have to restart. I click ok, everything was logged out and the updates started installing. As the computer restarted itself after the updates, i had the same issue again, where it would go to the Apple logo and then restart itself. The second time around, it just froze and the warning "You need to restart your computer" with the power logo in the background came up. So I manually restarted my computer and everything logged in correctly. I restarted it a couple time to see if I could duplicate the errors but everything keeps working properly. Now I'm kind of scare to restart my computer.
Any suggestions as to why this would be happening? Is this most likely a software issue or a hardware issue? This never happened before I formatted last week. The last time I formatted the computer prior to that was less than a year ago. -

I have same broken iPod Touch 4G, I'm stuck on the Apple logo and only what I can do is just restart. If I connect iPod turns on but that's all. I checked a lot of tricks how to restart/reboot device and how to get DFU but I have only the logo. iTunes on my mac can't recognize the device.
And in Apple retail store the guy told me: sorry it's dead. We can fix for about £200. After 1 month when my waranty is finished. Funny isn't it? I can't believe that my lovely iPod is dead after 13 months. Where is the "for quality you have to pay." Is it conspiracy if you don't buy extra waranty we will send you killing signal into your iDevice?
