My new iPod touch works fine in every respect, so far, besides YouTube. I am connected to a Wi-Fi connection, and when I press the YouTube button a message comes up that reads "You must first connect to iTunes with an Internet connection to enable YouTube." I am connected to the internet, and I have opened iTunes and it is working fine, but YouTube still won't work and it keeps displaying the same message. Any help would be appreciated

get your ipod touch connected to the internet, and have your computer
connected to the internet, then sync your ipod to itunes.

Problems with iPod Touch- YouTube and Push Notifications

After installing iOS4 on my 64gb iPod Touch I've noticed I cannot view YouTube videos and push notifications do not work.
The YouTube app launches, however if I try to search or play a video a pop up will read "Cannot connect to YouTube". If I go to YouTube's newly redesigned mobile site they work fine.
Although all my settings are the same as they have ever been, push notifications do not work. When launching any app with push notification support it always states "Connect to iTunes to use push notifications". I've done this, but nothing works.
For the record, I've never jailbroken or in any other way altered my device. I've tried performing a hard reset with no success, as well as letting the battery drain completely and shutting off before recharging.

Downgrading is not supported by Apple.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

2nd gen iPod touch YouTube app can't search YouTube

2nd gen iPod touch can't search YouTube through the YouTube app. I'd really appreciate some help in resolving this problem.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device and follow the instructions.

Ipod touch youtube HELP!!!

The youtube app on my ipod touch doesn't work so i can't watch any youtube videos.
I updated my OS to 4 and it still does not work.
It says 'you are not authorized to play this file' and won't play the video.
I have registered with itunes account.
The wifi is not the problem because i can browse safari and the itunes stores and download apps and the you tube app is not restricted either.
Some help please?

Are your restrictions for viewing certain content by age activated in settings/general/restrictions?
Or you may get this if you're living abroad and the content is restricted due to Digital Rights Management.

We are evaluating the use of iPod touch devices to record best practice videos on our manufacturing floor and to post to an internal Moodle web site. How can you upload a video from the iPod touch to a site other than YouTube?

How can you upload a video from the iPod touch to a site other than YouTube? The Moodle upload interface is expecting a file selection dialog box like windows or OSX. I do not want to have to go through an intermediary step of messing with a pc.

It should be around 7 and a half gigs. In iTunes, across the bottom there should be a bar that show how much storage is being used and by what. (music, movies, apps, etc.) To make music take up less room, you can check the box to make it convert the music to 128kbps AAC. This lowers the quality, but with most earbuds and speakers, you can't even tell the difference.
The iPod touch has parental controls built in. You'll find them in Settings. I think they only work for enabling/disabling Safari, Mail, YouTube, and App Store. Here's an app that does more: http://www.mobicip.com/online_safety/ipod_touch

I can't view youtube videos on my ipod touch (just updated it to iOS6)

I was having trouble viewing youtube vids on my ipod touch, thought it may be a problem since i hadn't updated, but i tried updating to iOS6, and installed the new youtube app, but it still won't work. i also tried going through safari, but it still won't work

I'm locked out via selfcontrol right now from youtube, so i can't access it... the wierd thing is my youtube app was working just fine this morning, it only stopped this afternoon...

No audio when playing YOUTUBE videos on ipod touch via a docking station

Hi there, when my ipod touch is docked on its docking station, it will not play audio on youtube videos, it will play the video but not the audio through the docking station speaker. It used to play audio without problems before, but recently it has stopped. When i take the ipod touch off the docking station the audio on the youtube video returns. any ideas why this has happened? it plays the youtube audio through the head phones too, i can play all other audio through the docking station speakers with out a problem.

There are no setting to change on the iPod.
Have you updated either the firmware on the car or on the iPod since they last played in the car?

I have the ipod touch 4th generation and im having trouble with my regular home wifi....it says i have it but when i go on itunes or anything it says can not connect to itunes or youtube or my textnow app....WHAT DO I DO????!! help!

i went on vacation and got wifi there....i came home last night and saw that i could not get any messages from my textnow or get on youtube or skype or facebook or anything that includes wifi....ive tried everything including turning it off, turning my wifi off, trying to join a new network, not using it for a day, everything!!! nothing will work for me!!! im wondering if it has to do with more than one devise on our wifi...we only have two ipod touches and a ps3....any advise?? i would appreciate it....THANKS!!!

The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. It used to be able to stream apps that supports Online Video Streaming , tried Restore a couple of times and it didn't help .
What could the issue be ?

The ESPN Radio is basically a Paid radio station.Make sure you have enuff balance to stream a radio from your Iphone. .
Check if you required to open any ports on your router for ESPN Radio.

IPod Touch and YouTube on a TV

I have the connection cables for the iPod to watch videos on TV, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me if you can watch YouTube via your iPod Touch on TV. I've tried it, but it didn't seem to work. Wondering if anyone has got it to work.

I have used my iPod Touch watching youtube through my TV and it works extremely well. I use the Apple Composite AV Cable found at http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MB129ZA/A?fnode=home/shopipod/ipod_accessories/cablesdocks&mco=MTM1MTU. You might need to change the channel on your TV, as if it's like mine it won't change automatically. Hope this finds you well!
