IPod turned off and on for the first hour
When I plugged in my brand new iPod Nano for the first time to the cable into my nice iMac, it turned off and on for the first hour with the phrase on screen "Do Not Disconnect." I am guessing that the reason it was turning off was because it didn't have enough juice/power. But then why was it turning on? After an hour it finally had enough juice to stay on. What gives? Do I have a defective iPod? It works fine now. I've never had an iPod before so I don't know how it's supposed to work.
Each time the iPod has run out of power, I get the same symptom. It turns off and on for an hour until it has enough juice to stay on.
Maybe someone in the iPod nano Forum would know the answer? You've posted in the 'Using iTunes for Mac' Forum.

My ipod touch will not charge or register in itunes. It keeps turning off and then shows the apple logo. I have tried holding down the button and plugging it in. It will show the red battery for a second and then turn off? Any other suggestions?
I have checked for problems with the connections, but from what i can see with the naked eye, nothing appears abnormal. It is very strange, and very sudden. It just stopped in the middle of a charge. The apple store is my next step. I just wanted to see if anyone on here had some extremely eye-opening solution or check. thanks though!

i did a reset on my iPod, then a restore now I can't do anything with it, turns off and on all the time, is there anything I can do?? cheers
Try the remaining items of:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I did the following:
1. Launch iTunes on your computer
2. Choose Store>Sign In from the iTunes menu.
3. Enter your Apple ID and password when prompted.

View Account. (I chose "iTunes Store", in the side bar, since the word "Store" in the menu bar didn't list "My Account". Then I chose "Account" in Quick Links, on the right-hand side of the screen. I got the "Account Information" ok.)
5. From the Account Information screen, scroll to the bottomof the page to the Settings section.
Then it said to: 6. Click "Manage" to the right of "Subscriptions".

After forgetting the password for my iPhone, I am trying to restore it through iTunes, however, during the process, the phone keeps turning on and asking for the password, thus canceling the process. Any advice?
Yes, you will still get the prompt.
I meant reset then try the recovery mode restore again.
You can also try DFU Mode.
DFU (Device Firmware Update) Mode is different than Recovery Mode.
DFU Mode is a special mode where the device can still interface with iTunes, yet it does not load the iBoot bootloader.
DFU Mode:
Plug your device into your computer.
Turn off the device.
Hold the Power button for 3 seconds
Hold the Home button without releasing the Power button for 10 seconds
Release the Power Button but keep holding the Home button
Keep holding the Home button until you are alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode
NOTE: Make sure the device screen is blank and no logos are present. Be patient, it make take several trys. -

I have two hard drives on my mac 10.5.8 power pc and hear the clickking sounds of the first hard drive and think that it may be dying, can I install everything on the other hard drive also and wait for the first drive to die before i use the other drives? Or, what is the best way to handle this?

Can find my iPhone be turned on remotely? I had it turned off, and twice in the last month I've found that it is turned on and someone was tracking my location. I'm a little freaked out! Is there any way that someone could be turning "find my iPhone" on remotely? I was under the assumption that the only way to turn the service on was from my phone itself.. Hello, I just purchase Adobe Premier elements 12. I installed it but the only problem is when I try to open "new project" it tells me I have to put my password in and username for the first seven days of installation, but when I do that the project never opens, it just has the loading bar loading and then it stops, so I have no idea wat the problem is, please help

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements running on?
Have you gone through the typical drills of
1. Latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements?
2. Running program from User Account with Administrative Privileges as well as from Run As Administrator applied to the desktop icon
with right click of the icon, followed by selecting Run As Administrator?
3. Does problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
4. Even though the Premiere Elements 12 Editor will not open, can you open the Elements Organizer 12?
If Yes to all of the above, please review the following for a possible solution...

You can keep him from deleting it by going to Settings>General>Restrictions, tap Enable Restrictions, enter a passcode* then turn Deleting Apps to Off. This will prevent him from deleting any apps on the phone without the restrictions passcode. I don't think you'll be able to prevent him from turning off the app, however.
* Important: Make sure you remember/write down the restrictions passcode. If you ever forget it, you will have to restore the phone as a new device without using a backup to remove it, losing all data on the phone. -

Probably because you do not have the headphones plugged all the way in. Make sure the plastic on the headphone jack is flush with the body of the Nano.

My ipad2 is getting lazy with the wifi. On any router it doesn't get the signal by itself, unless I'm so close that the pad and the antenna are touching. Other solution, to turn off and on again the wifi button on the iPad. This strange behavior is new, before my iPad was blazing fast at getting any known wifi connection. Sme help please ??

DFU Mode Restore
Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Then hold both home and power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, then release the Power button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually about 20 seconds of holding Home button. If the screen is black this is DFU Mode. Then click Restore button of iTunes.
