Ipod turns on apeture

After upgrading to itunes 10.5 my ipod touch will no longer sync with my mac.  My ipad and shuffle sync just fine.  Ipod touch still syncs with windows based software on PC.  I tired Itunes on macbook and same problem occurs:
When I plug ipod into iMac it turns on my apeture software.  Itunes indicates that the ipod is there but will not sync.  When I click on it, I tunes freezes until I disconnect ipod from iMac.    I tried reinstalled itunes but this changed nothing.   So, I know the ipod works, and I know itunes works with my ipad and shuffle.   Why will itunes 10.5 not recognize my ipod and why does plugging in the ipod not turn on apeture?

  • My IPod turning on automatically

My iPod Turning on automatically during night. Could anybody help? Thanks.

You most likely have an alarm set.
To check go to extras/clock/alarm and set it to off. Check the calendar also, extras/calendar/alarm.

  • Ipod turns itself off - only playing 1 certain album!

on Monday evening I purchased Ne-Yo- Year of the Gentleman via the i-tunes store.
Having played the album on Tuesday morning, I incurred a problem. It will play 2-3 songs perfectly fine, but if I go to skip to the next song the ipod turns it self off and the apple icon appears on the screen.
The ipod loads up again after about 2 minutes but obviously this is a very inconveinet and annoying problem.
I have tried playing other play lists and it doesn’t have the same problem its only Ne-Yo.
Can you give me an idea of what the problem is and how to correct it?
    Thanks

I was hoping either a reset or restore would do the trick. In this case it could be the album itself may be the culprit. So, the only thing I can suggest is to ask Apple if you can download the album again. I'm not sure if Apple will allow it though given their strict iTunes download policy. You may want to try anyway.
I suspect it could be either a bad tag in the songs or a corrupt file.

  • IPod turns itself off in dock

I have a new iPod classic 160gb. From time to time, the iPod turns itself off while playing, but only while in a speaker dock. This has happened in two different docks, including the Bose SoundDock and the Griffin Journi. Somewhere midway through a song, the music stops, the backlight comes on, it goes into charging mode. If I hit play, it continues as if nothing has happened.
I don't have a problem listening through headphones, anyone else see this?

    Add me to this list.
Along with the frustrating, well known and widely shared iTunes freezing issues, my (second, first one returned)silver 160GB classic also experiences this 'shutoff' in my iHome dock. I haven't had this issue with my DLO Homedock deluxe, but when in my iHome speaker dock playback starts fine but then just shuts off midway through a song when it feels like it, then like was said, goes to the charging battery screen. So, this new iPod has made iTunes, old video docks and now even my iHome dock worthless. I've really begun to question the intellegence of this 'upgrade'.

  • IPhone 3G's iPod turned on itself.

Hi I my iPhone's iPod turned on itself last night and start playing songs..
I never had this problem before.
    I am using iOS4.
Anyone has the same problem or any idea how to fix it?

My iPhone4 is also turning on the iPod music by itself, and playing songs. Appears to be random songs. Seems to be correlated to when my Bluetooth is disconnecting -- but it has occurred at other times -- but always when I have a Bluetooth connection (vs. WiFi or 3GS).
I cannot locate any setting (or default setting) that would cause this.
I have had my iPhone4 less than one week.

Thanks for the help. The alarm was set-up at middnight. Turning off it off has resolved the problem. I guess this brings the point why there is a need for such an alram?....The alarm did not go off with a sound to be heard, but the iPod start playing with no body hearing it (or listening) to it....So what is the point of the alarm?...Am I missing something here?....
Thanks for the help resolving my issue...

  • 30 GB iPod Turns on, but not working

I need to HELP! My daughters videa iPod turns on (the backlight ONLY), but it does not show the apple logo or a menu. I have tried a soft reset (pressing the menu button and the top of the middle button at the same time)and it DOES NOT WORK! So it lights up/turns on, and that is it. Any recommendations?!

Have you tried plugging it into the USB cable and the computer then doing the reset? I had an error like that and I could not reset the iPod until I had it connected to the computer.
