IPOD TV and Movies in Cda

Wht can't I dowload TV and Movies from the Cda Store and when will it be available if that is the reason.

I believe the plan for the Movies is to roll them out to other stores in sometime this year. However whether or even if the Canadian store gets them in 2007 will depend on the negotiations with the film distributors for the region. You have to remember the reason that stores for different countries have different content is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies, film companies, TV companies and other copyright holders. These are quite often completely different from country to country and therefore all require their own individual contract negotiations.

Hi, me again....
I have an Ipod mini and had no problems putting music onto itfrom either my Mac or a friends. Now however, am I right in thinking that they have stopped this and you can only Sync from one computer? e.g. If I turnj sync off and go to a friends to copy a couple of songs, it will clear my previous library?
The second question is, I want to put a couple of movies on my new Ipod 5th generation. I have a mere 2gb of space on my Ibook but have a few films on my external h/d (size 700mb)that I would like to transfer? How do I go about this please?
Again, any advice would be much appreciated!

You said it shows up in iTunes right? So does it also show up as a drive? Can you enable disk use on it? If so then can you see your extra files or are they lost but still on there somewhere do you think?
Perhaps you can find the files among your hidden files on the iPod?

Ipod video and movie question?????

i get my movies from limewire and mp3 direct...can someone tell me how to change the frame rate of the video...from what i understand the frame rate has to be at least 29 to 30 frames per second.. to make the sound sync with the movie..how can i do this and should i do this before or after i convert the movie file with videora???

I had the same issue, however I used this program to transfer ...avi,mpg,wma..etc...;

If the program is used the converted files will be in a folder called;
C:\Program Files\videoraipodConverter\vodeos
I'm pasting this from the Videora site, the settings worked for me when others didn't, enjoy:
Configuring videora converter
0) Start Videora iPod converter.
1) Click setup in the left nav.
1.5) Click the profiles tab.
2) Click new profile.
3) Now, configure that profile:
profile name: ipod
in the video settings section...
mode: MPEG-4 > CBR
resolution: 320x240
passes: one
bitrate: 768 kbps (384 kbps also works)
framerate: 29.97 fps
in the audio settings section...
bitrate: 128 kbps
sample rate: Input
channels: stereo
4) Click apply to save the profile.
Now, you're ready to transcode.
1) Click convert on the left nav.
2) Click the transcode new video button.
3) Pick your source video. Mine was an AVI from a torrent.
4) Under quality profile, choose "ipod", the profile you created using the steps above.
5) Click start.
Now you're ready to get the video on your ipod
1) In iTunes, under the File menu, select add file to library. Find the transcoded one. By default, the transcoded videos pop out under the Videora install directory.
2) Drag and drop to your ipod.
Questions/observations:
1) I haven't been able to get H264 anything to work. Is it broken? How much smaller than MPEG4 is it?
2) 768 kbps video was about 400 megs/hour; 384 kbps video was about 231 megs/hour. I could readily see a difference in video quality.

My itunes wont sync my ipod songs and movies to my new macbook

i have tried to sync my ipod and backup but it has only done one song that was an old dance song from class... i only have over 2000 songs ... and i have gotten them all from cds or mates cds or bump and than had put them on my windows computer but i have transfered to a macbook pro and it wont let me put all my songs on my itunes

I had this problem with an old shuffle. So I used the old fashioned method. Select the music and drag and drop it into you iPod this worked for me

My ipod won't sync and it keeps coming up with an error message saying "internal error" or it tries to get me to restore from a backup. All of my music and movies have been wiped from my ipod and the apps don't work. The backups don't work either. help.

After restoring it still doesn't allow me to sync or back up and The music and movies can still not be seen. I am currently attempting to copy the music and movies to my ipod though this did not work with my apps as they transfered but when I attempted to open them they just crash... If someone could please help me it would be great. It is driving me crazy.

If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:

Movies are not one of the items you can reload via iClould like apps, music, and some other items. You can contact iTunes and request a redownload,. They may give you one.

It is a purchased move and not a rental right? If you rent a movie on the 4G iPod you can't transfer it to a computer.

Is this on your computer or on iPad/iPhone ? If you are on an iPad or iPhone then it should have downloaded into the Videos app - iTunes on those devices is just the iTunes store, and if you just see the Ts & Cs link on the Downloads tab then that means that there are no outstanding downloads waiting.

The advertised number of songs an iPod can hold is based on set factors such as the encoding for each song and the length for each song.
Transferring movies is selected under the Movies tab for your iPod sync preferences with iTunes.
Transferring TV Shows is selected under the TV Shows tab for your iPod sync preferences with iTunes.

Getting videos and and movies onto my ipod

I have many videos and movies in a folder on my desktop, and I am having trouble getting them on my ipod. when I drag and drop the video in itunes it would say something like "this video will not work in ipod". I looked up the error message and it said I should try to let itunes convert the video to make it "ipod-ready". Except it said that I need to get the video into my itunes library, which I don't know how to(don't use itunes as my media player anyway). I know the ipod video has a narrow file format limit, limitong only to .mpg, .mov and a few others. But the videos are in mpg and its still not lettin me drag and drop. What do I do?
