IPod Updater Latest Version

I have successfully downloaded iTunes 7, however, I cannot seem to get the latest version of iPod Updater to install. When I attempt, I get a message that "updater cannot be installed because the firmware file does not exist". Does anyone know what I should do? I have tried to download the latest version of iPod Updater, but the most current one I can find is 06-28-06 and there appears to be a more recent version that I cannot find. I cannot update my iPod with the game I have purchased unless I install the latest version.

iTunes is supposed to be taking care of keeping out iPods' firmwares up to date from now on, without the need for a separate "iPod Software Updater".
It seems to be rather experimental and failure-prone on iTunes for Windows, however.
As of right now, there is no newer iPod Software Updater. It is available exlusively as a part of iTunes 7.

There are plenty of apps still compatible with iOS 4.2.1. Not a majority, necessarily, but they're still out there. If the app you want requires a newer version, find another app the accomplishes the same thing.
Of course, it may be too late for that now, since you chose to hack/jailbreak your iPhone, and it is currently a brick. As varjak paw stated, this forum will not help you with your hacked phone.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I updated the latest version of itunes onto my pc (windows xp) and all of a sudden I can't open it up. Everytime I try to open it I get a window that says: "Data Execution Prevention - Microsoft Windows...To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program. Change settings." I have tried to change the settings. Uninstalled & reinstalled itunes. Updated the lates version of quicktime. Nothing has helped. If there is anyone who has a suggestion I would appreciate it. If anyone is looking at this and would like to know what I did to finally get it to work, I did the following: I right click on the itunes icon on my desktop.......clicked on "run as"........made sure that it ran as administrator. This finally worked for me. Hope you all find this info helpful.

I have updated to latest version of iTunes, phone started to sync now it's stuck! Say's at the top of page: Syncing "iPhone" (Step 1 of 5) Backing up

I had the problem of being stuck/hung in the backup phase of sync. Couldn't close iTunes without going into task manager. Was on the phone with support x3, (uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes, looking for conflicts with with msconfig) no resolution. Searching through forums, I found this to work:
1. Start a command prompt (run as administrator) and issue 'netsh winsock reset'
2. Reboot
Now it syncs just fine. Too bad I had to waste several hours on the phone with Apple.

MSI Live Update - latest version?

Hello all -
I wanted to update to the latest version of MSI liveupdate. I currently have 3.90.
Apparently this version (under windows vista) turns off UAC.
Ok, so I'm prompted to download version 3.92.
All 6 download servers on MSI's site say that they have 3.92, however when I downloaded
from each server, 3.90 is the version that I receive.
Anybody know where i can get 3.92 from?

You can find Live update download under the 'Utility' tab for your MB at 'MSI Global'.
It's best not to use 'Live Update' especially for BIOS and just manually download whatever it is that you need.
Edit: It seems that some people have had problems with 3.92, maybe it's been dropped from the servers if all you get is 3.90. Not many of us would dare use it but I'm sure someone else knows more about this than I do.

Can you try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if Firefox works properly with no error? You can start Firefox in Safe Mode below:

If Firefox opens up fine with no problems, it's probably one of your extensions that's causing the issue. You can re-enable your add-ons one by one until you find the one that causes the issue upon being re-enabled.
