IPod updates, then stops at the very end

My iPod Touch 8GB third generation will get to the very end of updating, and then stop updating. I left my computer on for 4 hours letting it update, still frozen at the same spot. When I unplug the iPod I get the "Connect to iTunes" screen. Twice I've gotten error 1603, but it randomly happens. I would show my iPod screen, if I could take a screenshot
I think Apple murdered my iPod.

Apple's manufacture warranty that comes for new devices is 1 yr. You can pay for extended care but is probably not recommended since by that time you will probably want to get a new one anyways.

did you check your security software settings? http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3125 iTunes needs to connect to the Apple server during the restore process.

My iTunes On my iPad will download tv shows then at the very end say error downloading.....any ideas?

At the very end of the download it says error downloading, tap to retry. On just about any tv show or movie.

If your ext HD boot volume is running Lion, just use something like Carbon Copy Cloner to clone it to the internal. Clean installs are usually just a waste of time.

Upgrade from Windows 8.1 to 10 fails with an error code, at the very end of processing

I tried to upgrade to Windows 10. It went through the whole process, and upon reboot at the very end it failed. It threw this message: I searched on these terms and couldn't find an answer. My machine is brand new. I haven't installed much on it at all, figuring it's better to wait until I've gotten Windows 10 installed. Any ideas?

So it looked like I was missing a KB update, the 3035584, which enables the upgrade. I performed some Windows 8.1 updates and got everything set up. I ran the upgrade to Windows 10. It went all the way through to the reboot, taking about 20~30 mins. At this point it asks me to confirm installation, and I select "OK" and it goes for another 20 mins. It proceeds about 10% of the way there, and then it reboots. The next thing I see on my screen is "Restoring your previous version of Windows". I'm back to Windows 8.1 again. I log in... and same error message as shown above. Frankly, I can't understand what is causing this... and why Windows can't "figure out" if my machine is good to go for a full installation in just 10 mins or so. Why go through all of these gyrations for 45 mins only to reject the whole process?

How to Add a Linefeed to the Very End of a TextFrame's Contents

Hi all,
I need to be able to add a linefeed ("\n") to the very end of a TextFrame's contents, which may include any combination of tagged and untagged texts, and tagged and untagged image frames.
There seems to be an endless variation of circumstances, each of which require a specific solution.
For example:
If the last run of the Text is tagged, then I need to append the "\n" to the that last tag's contents.
If there are no Tags in the Text, then I can append the "\n" to the TextFrame's contents.
If the TextFrame is Tagged, but the last letter(s) in the Text are untagged - I don't know what to do.
If the last object in the TextFrame is an Image Frame, then I don't know what to do (you can't add the "\n" to an image's contents).
In short, is there some catch-all solution for adding a "\n" at the very end of a TextFrame's contents, without the Tags on the Text being removed and without causing a failure due to trying to add "\n" to an Image's contents?

Harbs is crazy busy right now, and I don't really understand your issue.
Why do you need to add a linefeed? Do you mean a paragraph return or soft return?
Something like this might be what you are after:
textFrame.insertionPoints.item(-1).contents = "\r";
or
textFrame.insertionPoints.item(-1).contents = SpecialCharacters.FORCED_LINE_BREAK;

It sounds like you are unable to successfully boot your iPod Touch. I would recommend these steps specifically from the following article, named:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more aboutrestoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.

CS5 freezes at the very end of encoding

I have been using Premiere CS5's media encoder for months now, without issue, but now I've run into a problem:
I have a 2-hour video that I am encoding to a .m2v to be put onto a DVD in Encore. However, at the very end of encoding it, when the estimated time remaining is only a second or two, AME essentially freezes. It never finishes the job.
If I close AME out, the video shows up in the folder, but shows it to be only about 1.5 hours long instead of 2. When I import it into Encore, it's the correct 2-hours, but Encore then freezes when I try to build the DVD.
None of this has ever happened before, but it seems to all trace back to AME. This project has been working fine with AME until now -- all I've done recently was cut a few minutes out of the video. Here's a screen cap of what AME looks like - it's just sitting here like this and will indefinitely until I close it down:

Re: the files - mostly Quicktimes, but there are a few AVI files in there. This project has about 1,000 files in it (feature film) now that I'm in the final stage of finishing it, and I have no idea how to track down which file might be corrupted.

I cannot receive email properly on either my IPad or my IPhone. I have had them for over a year and they have always worked fine. Until three days ago, when they both started acting up. On the IPad, when I open mail, it says it is downloading about 1,700 emails. At the very end, which takes quite a while to get to, I finally get the most recent ones. The IPad is sending emails just fine.
On my IPhone, when I open mail, it says it is downloading 100 emails, but it doesn't do that. And it gives me no new emails at all. The IPhone is sending email just fine.
I have already deleted the email accounts on both devices and reinstalled them. I've contacted the Internet service provider and verified all the right settings. The Outlook email on my desktop is working perfectly.

WMV is a heavily-compressed format/CODEC, and the processing time will depend on several factors:
Your CPU, which is not that powerful in your case
Your I/O sub-system, which is likely a single HDD on your laptop
The source footage. What is your source footage?
Any Effects added to that footage. Do you have any Effects?
Each of those will have an impact on the time required.
The trial has only one main limitation - the watermark. Now, there are some components, that have to be activated, but are not with the trial, but they would be evident with Import of your source footage, if it's an issue.
