My probelem is that the ipod does not appear in the source list when i open my itunes, it also does not show up in my computer, or at least i can't find it. So i can't place any songs into it.

I need to delet all the songs off my Ipod 6th generation nano. I began a restore to factory settings but my ipod was unplugged. Now the songs are still ON the ipod and the ipod does not register with my computer. It is not available in the device list. I am selling the ipod and it needs to be shipped tomorrow so going in for service is NOT the answer.
Probably too late, but try connecting the Nano to iTunes to your PC in Disk Mode and then restoring it via iTunes again.

I just got a 120 GB ipod classsic and it wont appear in my itunes source list and it appears in my computer.I have tired the 5 R's already.But a pop-up appears and says windows times out and i need to have my ipod for today.PLEASE HELP ME ASAP
if you have just got it most places give ipods a 1year garuntee so take it back to the shop to have it looked at pls put this as correct answer

My ipod touch does not show up in my itunes source list, and shows up as a digital camera in "My Computer". Any ideas?
Start here. Is ti normal and expected for the computer to also see the iPod as a comera since that is how you get saved photos from the iPod to the computer.

The source list is the list which shows the sources from which you can procure the material. If you have ticked the source list requirement in the material master, then you can procure the material only from the vendors mentioned in the source list.
In Inf Record, you maintain the data for a material supplied by a vendor. e.g. Material price, tax code, other conditions,, buyer code, delivery & payment terms.

I keep being asked to update my Safari but when I do a Software update it scans but never gives me a list and just says no new updates. Help please!
There are no updates to either OS 10.5.8 or Safari 5.0.6.
If you need a later version of Safari you must first upgrade your operating system to a later version of OS X. -
My Nik Efex filters are not working in Photoshop CC 2014 - they appear under plug-ins and seem to work, but after running and clicking okay, no new layer appears - seems to have no effect. The separate menu panel does not appear either. Help with this?

Thanks so much Woodsroad. I had the exact same problem with my Dell Windows 7 64 bit with AMD Radeon 6700 Video card.
All the video tests passed with flying colors.
The sniffer rename trick fixed the problem.

My iPod Nano 6th generation fell one time and it kept working with a small crack in the screen.But after a while it just gave out and does not turn on.I try to charge it and all it does is blink the apple icon on and off.When disconnected nothing happens.

At this point I would recommeng resetting the device if if will not turn on.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

I have an iPhone 4S and never had a problem with syncing it. But suddenly, when I connected my phone to my mac, it says that its in recovery mode, and I need to restore it in order to sync. I've updated both my phone and my itunes, and it didnt work.Help?

No, it does not. It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer. The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

my mom updated her iphon4 last night and now all of her contacts are gone. i have tried everything that I have come across and nothing is working. help?
What cloud service or contact manager was she syncing them to? They should still be there and she should be able to sync them back. If she was not doing so, they are gone.

I've set up a new iMac and transferred my library. Now, when I switch on iTunes Match it gets to about 25% on stage 1 and just stops working, Anyone know how to fix this?
Ok, so the likely cause is 1 or more Songs are tripping up iTunes Match. To resolve, move to Song view, switch on iCloud Status and iCloud Download fields - sort the view on iCloud Status - identify Songs with status other than Purchased, Matched or Uploaded. Temporarily remove them from the library, allow iTunes Match to complete the 3-step process. Gradually import the Songs back in - any that cause a repeat failure, place in a playlist, burn to audio CD and import as 256k AAC.
Note: iTunes Match service in UK at present is intermittant, may be worth trying from 1200 tomorrow to give Apple the chance to complete its current updates.
