IPod video 60 GB breaks when I put 20GB music on it

I already broke 3 new iPods when I transfered music from iTunes. The iPods just didn't work anymore at all. Now I figured out that if I put just a few songs on it, it works, but if I put the whole libary with 3744 songs the iPod breaks. I still have guaranty, but I have to find a solution for this problem. Is there anybody who had this problem or experience with putting a lot of songs on the iPod? Or do you have an other idea? I know this sounds really strange.

That makes less sense as the sim tray a fairly stiff metal and should be pulled straight out once released. You didn't answer the question about where is was bought. Is is a real iPhone?

I got a new laptop and downloaded iTunes, when I put new music on it for the first time, my entire music library disappeared, leaving me with only newly downloaded music in my library. My iPod still has all my old music.

Recently, I bought a new laptop (a Lenovo), so I downloaded iTunes to it. When I went to sync my iPod to my iTunes to at least get the new songs to the iPod (so that my complete library can be on at least one device), I realized that in order to sync my iPod to my iTunes, I would be deleting all my old music and replacing it with the new. So now, I only have a few new songs on my laptop's iTunes, and only my old songs on my iPod. In both cases I paid for all the music, so I don't want to just delete any of it. Is there any way to fix this?

Also-I tried to use my backup hard drive, but I wasn't able to drag/transfer/send/move any of my muic files onto my iTouch when the iTouch was connected to my computer. I can't figure out why it won't let me do that.
The only thing I can see when I open my iTouch on my computer is my file with photos. I can't see videos, music, or anything else. What's going on?

If the Apple Store Genuis says you can't sync music from an audio CD to your iPod (because it's too old), he or she is not much of a "genius."
That question is not even related to your iPod. First step is to "rip" the music CD into your iTunes library. Once the songs on the CD are in your iTunes library, they are like any other songs in your library, and you can sync them to your iPod as desired. NOTE: When you insert a music CD, it appears in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES. If you do not see the sidebar (along left side of window), from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
It was the context of your original question, not the actual task. You can easily add songs files that are on a flash drive to your iTunes library. Open a window that shows the flash drive contents. Drag the song files from that window to the iTunes window, and drop them on your iTunes Music library. Or, use the command
iTunes menu bar -> File -> Add to Library...
NOTE: Open your iTunes preferences, Advanced tab. If the checkbox for Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library is NOT checked, those songs from the flash drive will only be accessible (for playing and syncing) when the flash drive is connected.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

IPod video's become blocky when you rewind or fast forward

When I play donwloaded video's like G4's Attack of the show and save it on my iPhone 4, whenever I play it and rewind or fast forward the video becomes blocky for 1 second and goes fine again...
Anybody experienced this?

While playing any song on your iPod, tap the artwork to bring up the scrubber bar and additional controls. On the left hand side is a option for repeat. You want to make sure this icon is white (meaning it is set to Off). If it isn't tap it either one or two times to change its current setting. The icon on the other site opposite it is for Shuffle.

Does it sound that way with the built-in speaker?

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore the Pod to factory defaults/new iPod.

Ipod Video 30 keep restarting when navigating through one song too another.

Has anyone experienced that problem before? I just got my IPOD on Xmas and copied all my CDs on it already... But everytime I nagivate through my songs... after maybe 60 or sometimes 100 the IPOD crash and restart... I can't click the next button too often or my IPOD will reboot...

IMovie: When i put in music for the background of my clips, my clips go quieter, but then when i take the music out it goes loud. I tried to edit the music to try and make it go quiet like background music would, but it isn't working?

In iMovie on my new MacBook Pro. I'm editing a video of mine (As i make videos for YouTube), i put in the clips, then i put in background music. But when the music is there, the clips go really quiet. I'm trying to change that but it isn't working, i've edited the clips to make any other sound go quiet on the audio bar, but that hasn't worked either. I've tried to edit the music to go quiet on the audio bar, but that didn't work. Nothing is working!! It's like the music is taking over! You can barely hear the sound of the clips talking. Then after the background music has finished, if there is any clips left over, the clips go really loud!
It's geting me really annoyed, i've tried everything.
Can anybody help? Even suggestions would work!

Can anyone please tell me why when i put my music on shuffle it only plays a handful (that being 4 or 5)songs then stops even if its in the middle of a song, then wont let me play anything unless i exit Itunes completely and then re-open Itunes????

Hi, i've also been having a very similar problem with my ipod as well. I find that regardless of which windows-based pc i use (either my xp laptop @ home, or my win2000 desktop @ work) windows and itunes refuses to recognise my ipod. In windows explorer it will show it as a removable drive, but if i click on it, windows freezes. If I try to disconnect it, I cant because windows keeps reporting that 'the device is being used, try disconnecting later' and so then i shut down my laptop to disconnect it safely.
Lately, like you, i've also noticed that clicking sound it makes. It happens when i connect my ipod to my computer - like the drive inside it is constantly restarting or something, and i get it when i'm playing / charging it in my dock. I've also noticed that when it's playing whilst charging, it just freezes on a song, then skips a couple of songs.
I've just discovered the disgnostic tools on my ipod, so i think i'll run a couple of tests (ie HDD scan) and depending on the outcome, i'll go visit the apple store.

Converting DVD's to put on Ipod video

I just got a ipod video and i'm trying to put DVD's on it. I have been trying to download QuickTime 7 ( because I think that is the right program to convert DVD's to mp4 files, and make the files smaller to be able to put on the ipod, if it's not please tell me). So I download it and try to make it play the DVD's so i can convert it, but it won't open the DVD. If I am doing stuff wrong, or if everything is wrong please tell me what program to use and what to do to put the DVD on my Ipod.

Quicktime does not have the ability to convert a DVD.
To convert a DVD for iPod use, you'll need to use third-party software.
You'll first need decrypting software to remove the encryption on the DVD.
Then you'll need conversion software to convert the decrypted files into an iPod friendly format.
Sometimes, both of those tasks can be accomplished with one piece of software. (Before anyone mentions it Videora iPod Converter is NOT an all-in-one package. It does NOT decrypt DVDs.)
PQ DVD seems to be popular for Windows users, as well as ImTOO.

Ipod video doesn't work

i bought my ipod video five days ago, but i put it to charge, and after i disconected it, appeared an apple icon and the screen flashes, and it wont´t turn off, i tried to reset it, but nothing appened, and I can only put it on disck mode for to complete batery charge, help please!!!!
