Could someone please help me??
Thank you!

go to your video settings and make sure your TV out is set to "off".

  • $50 worth of my movies/music videos are gone

I bought roughly $50 worth of music videos/movies on iTunes, and this happened: They were all downloading, but there was more then one of each of them, for example, it said "GI Joe" multiple times (It wasn't the special features part either) same exact thing, over and over. They downloaded (kind of) But when I clicked on the movie part, there was about 10 of the same "GI Joe" movies there, none of them would play. In the end, my computer crashed, and when I opened up iTunes again, $50 worth of movies/music videos are gone. I'm extremely upset and don't know what to do. The downloaded and processing was completed.

First, relax. Sometimes everything doesn't go perfectly.
If you bought the HD version, the SD version downloads as well so that you can watch on an ipod, if you so choose.
You can go to Store>Check for Available downloads
If this doesn't work then go to purchase History, click "Report a Problem" and report the problem. Apple will resolve within a day. You could also e-mail itunes support:

  • Itunes 7 crashing in tv/movie/music video areas of store

I'm not sure if any one else has this problem with itunes 7 but; when I go to the itunes store everything is fine until I go to the following sections--movies/music videos/tv, I think you see where I'm going with this; another BUG! I get "itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." PC users knows what this means. Before it crashes I see in the main itunes store window, itunes cannot support this browser what! It's itunes 7. I have all the updates and have adjusted quicktime etc although its my belief I shouldn't have to do this in the first place if Apple would have provided a more reliable upgrade! This is my second posting ever in Apples discussion.
I was once an Apple hardware geek back in the early adoption of the powerpc daze. You know; 6500/6300 computers and powerbooks hardware and software that didn't work days. The Gil "daze"--those were bad times for Apple. Don't do it again Apple--make bad software and hardware. Keep the quality of your software and hardware intact Steve. Are you listening or reading these posts?
FYI: This only happens on my laptop not my desktop. Also, this never happened with itunes 6x. You had a good product Apple. I think you pushed this upgrade out to fast.
    1. support 24bit
    2. fix your browsers issues
    3. provide the customer with a sane way to back out of an upgrade.
    4. fix it now!
    Otherwise--the new features are COOL!

Are running the current XP updates? Have you restarted your computer? Have you tried downloading music? I was successful downloading music on my desktop; itunes crashes when I access the video, tv, music video part of the store using my laptop I dont have these problems with my desktop. There are a few workarounds posted. Make sure directx is updated--check you settings for quicktime (16bit instead of 24). Unfortunately at this point there's no solid solution. You can back out of itunes 7; if your interested I'll post it on this discussion. I'm not sure that solves your problem for your new ipods. Sense you have new ipods your entitled to support. I would call them and let the discussion groups know whats up.
    Good luck.

  • My iTunes doesn't have  all the music that my iPod has. But when i sync my iPod it doesn' t put my music back onto my computer, how do i fix this?

So, I looked at my iTunes library and realized that i had a rather small amount of music on it, while i have a rather large amount of music on my iPod. I don't know where all my music went on my computer, and I have no clue how it isn't there. When I sync my iPod it doesn't transfer my music back or even give me the, "We found some music on your iPod that is no longer in your library, would you like to transfer these songs?"
I don't really know what to do, andy advice?

Never mind, the problem just fixed itself when i searched for an artist that wasn't there. That was odd.

    from Byron.

You can indeed burn moves and shows from the iTunes Store to a data DVD (via Finder or other software) for backup purposes, which is I believe what Byron is asking about (though I can't be sure). You just can't burn them to a video DVD to be played in a standard DVD player.
Well, I'm not sure about that. Having just re-read the terms, it appears that you may re-download content, and that you can burn songs, but this appears to not include videos (unless it is iTunes Plus content):
(iv) You shall be authorized to burn an audio playlist up to seven times.
    (v) You shall not be entitled to burn video iTunes Products or ringtone iTunes Products.
(vi) iTunes Plus Products do not contain security technology that limits your usage of such products, and Usage Rules (ii) – (v) do not apply to iTunes Plus Products. You may copy, store, and burn iTunes Plus Products as reasonably necessary for personal, noncommercial use.
Reading further, then there is this:
    (ix) Content Rentals
    (a) Content rentals are viewable on only one device at a time. You must be connected to the iTunes Service when moving rentals, and you may do so only between your computer and other compatible devices. Content rented using your Apple TV, iPad, iPhone 4, or iPod touch (4th generation) may not be moved. If you move a rental to a compatible device and then use the iTunes Service to restore that device, or choose Settings > Reset > Erase all content and settings on that device, the rental will be permanently deleted.
    (b) You have thirty (30) days after downloading a rental to begin viewing. Once you begin viewing, you have twenty-four (24) hours to finish viewing a movie, and forty-eight (48) hours to finish viewing a TV show. Stopping, pausing, or restarting a rental does not extend the available time for viewing.
Some iTunes Products, including but not limited to Content rentals, may be downloaded only once and cannot be replaced if lost for any reason. It is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage iTunes Products once downloaded, and you may wish to back them up.
Even after years of deciphering contracts and the sometimes rather complex content, I find this a bit confusing and I'd be checking with Apple to make sure I'm not doing anything I shouldn't be.

It sounds like you are trying to manually manage the media on your iPod while you have it set to Auto Sync. This document explains the difference in the two methods. You can switch between the two, but you can use both at the same time.

  • Need help with Video Categories Movies, Music Videos, ETC.

Is there anyway to put ripped videos into other categories besides just Movies? I would like to put some of them under Music Videos, is that possible?

Neither Quicktime Pro or iTunes have the ability to successfully encode a muxed video file with audio. You'll end up with video and no audio.
You'll need to use some other third-party software to do the conversion. There's a handful of software available. Just search the forums and you'll find many titles mentioned.
Videora iPod Converter seems to be popular amongst Windows users, although I've read that you might get mixed results using it.

  • Burn movies / music videos

I purchased some movies and music videos on ITunes. I need to burn them into discs. Please guide me how to do it as when I click on BURN DISC it comes out like burning audio CD. There isn't an option for burning VCD or DVD...and I fail to do the job.
    Appreciate any help!
    Thank you.
    Ben

You can archive them to a DVD in the same way you would any other file (sorry but I don't know how to do that with windows). But, as the previous poster noted, you can't burn them to a DVD that will work on a regular DVD player. In order to watch them on a television, you would either need to hook your computer up to your television, or hook an iPod or Apple TV up to your television.

  • Possible to play movies/music videos nonstop?

Would it be possible to play movies and/or music videos (or videos, for the matter) one after another? Without having to select one by one after the previous one is over?

Not at present. But, where there's life, there's hope....

  • Video doesn't start from the beginning

Please tell me there is a setting on the iPod classic to always start a video from the beginning of the video??!?!?! I am using the iPod classic for video projection.
E.g.: I play video #1 until, say, 3:00. I select menu and go to another video or a song, a photo, whatever. I go back to video #1 and it starts at 3:00! WHY?
I want iPod Classic videos to ALWAYS start from the beginning.
Please tell me there is a setting for this.
    thank you

I have good news for you, (compared to your other post!).
Select the video in iTunes and click on *File/Get Info* and look on the Options tab. Turn off the tick in *Remember playback position.* You can bulk select some or all your videos to do this.

  • My Ipod classis doesn't synchronize movies.

I noticed this problem about two weeks ago. I wanted to put some movies on my Ipod classic so I put them in my Itunes library. However, after it was done synchronizing, the movies weren't on my Ipod. At first I thought it was the file, so I changed the format and tried some other files but it wouldn't work. I tried reinstalling Itunes, no effect. Everything else synchronizes just fine; all my music and podcasts are on my Ipod. The problem seems to be for movies only. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Is there any error message when you sync? the iPod Alert should be  ON
If you want iTunes to resume showing these alerts, follow these steps:
Connect your device to your PC or Mac.
Wait until your device has appeared on the left side of the iTunes window under Devices.
Right-click (PC) or Control-click (Mac) the icon for your device.
From the shortcut menu, choose Reset Warnings.
iPod can only play Standard Definition (SD) videos. If all is in order above, then perhaps do Manage Manually Sync.
    Syncing videos manually
If your prefer not to automatically sync video content to your iPod, you can setup manual syncing.
Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
Select your iPod in the DEVICES section of the iTunes Source list.
In the main iTunes browser window, select the Summary tab.
Select the "Manually manage music and videos" option. This will deselect the automatic sync settings for the Music, Movies, and TV Shows tabs. Automatic syncing for Podcasts, Photos, Contacts, and Games can be individually disabled by selecting each of those tabs. Note: When manually managing iPod, disk use is enabled and iPod must always be manually ejected in iTunes before disconnecting.
    Click Apply.
To manually add music videos, movies or TV shows to your iPod, choose one of these categories under LIBRARY in the Source list.
Select and drag items you want (to choose multiple items, Command-click items on a Mac or Control-click items in Windows), then drag them onto your iPod icon in the Source list.
To add a playlist, select it in the Source list and drag it onto your iPod in the same ways as a video or song.
When you are ready disconnect your iPod, select it in the Source list and click the eject icon.

  • How to add a video file directly as a music video file?

When I add a new video file its always taken as a movie file and i have to change the video kind from movie to music video. Is there any way to assign the kind as music video to more than one file at once?

If you've reformatted your computer then as far as the iPad is concerned it's a new computer that it hasn't been synced to before, and iPads are designed to only be synved to one computer at a time. There are some instructions on this page for syncing to a new computer : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141
Do you have a backup copy of your iTunes library that you can copy back onto your computer ? iTunes itself only allows you to copy downloads from iTunes (plus any epubs and/or PDFs in the iBooks app on a device) back via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. If you want to copy back, for example, music that you got from other sources (e.g. copied from CDs) then you will need a third-party program on your computer to copy them back - there are some listed half-way down this page : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • Want to lock video to audio, NOT audio to video--I'm making a music video

    Hi
I'm making a music video--one long audio clip which I'm cutting video to.
I've got Pogue's book and it explains how to pushpin audio to video, but the reverse doesn't seem to work.
I've got one long audio clip and I want to lock video segments to it to preserve the synch between video clips and the audio track.
Help doing this would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there a good breakdown somewhere of how to make a music video in iMovie?
    THANKS!

Steve told us at the keynote, iM08 was done by an engineer who's a Scuba-diver ... so, audio+iM08? forget it ... the audio skills are in vers.0.1. almost zil.
plus: in iMHD≤6, you are allowed in timeline to drag clips 'to the right' to create 'holes' in the video timeline.. (=black clips) .. iM08 doesn't support that. and: in iMHD≤6 you can 'crop' a clip from the clippane easiely BEFORE adding it to the project's timeline.. frame-precision selection is 'tricky' with iM08 .. (see my site, iM08Tricks)
.. iM08 is extremely fast to 'glue' some clips together; for serious video-editing it keeps some most interesting concepts (skimming), I would like to see in any forth-coming vers. of FCE .. but: 'videos' with iM08? .. not for me ...

  • Re: Music videos in iPad mini, Re: Music videos in iPad mini

On my iPhone 4, the music videos are on my music playlist.. How come on my iPad Mini the music videos are included on my movies? How can i separate them & put it as music videos on my music playlist? Thanks!

Videos are played in the video app.
Music is played in the music app, only the audio will play from a music video in the music app.

  • Recently I've not been able to watch any kind of video on my iPad ie: music video, Netflix, YouTube, etc

Recently I've noticed that I'm not able to watch any kind of video on my iPad.....youtube, music videos, netflix, news videos, etc.  I'll hit the play icon and then the pause button comes on and then quickly flips back to the play button. The video never starts. Everything else seems to be working fine. I'd like to know if anyone knows what causes this? Thanks.

Not sure what causes this, but see if this fixes it. Close all apps and reboot the iPad.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
