IPod Video plays w/no audio

Recently i downloaded videos and saved them to my iTunes. once i converted the video and syced into my iPod, you could not hear the music of that video and not on the iTunes. But the original video did play with audio. How do i get the converted version of the video to play with audio in my iPod?

Sorry, I read the forum rules . Thanks for the reply, but I haven't actually updated the Nvidia drivers in a while. Right now they are on 311.06. I keep them at the stock clock speed as well. Also have a slightly overclocked i5 2500k. but that never effected Adobe products before.
I wonder, does VLC Player at all affect clip playback? I think I saw there little traffic cone.
Yup. Is PP CC using VLC instead of Quicktime? And/or would that have an effect on playback? Also how would I correct that? I imagine uninstalling VLC would.
Well, I uninstalled VLC, and now the Quicktime logo shows up just before the thumbnail loads instead of the VLC logo. I'm gonna assume that means that PPCC is using quicktime, but I STILL get no video in preview playback!

Ipod Video plays in car?

Hi, I'm thinking about having an aftermarket adapter installed in my car so I can plug my ipod directly in. Because the ipod can play videos too, is it possible to watch a video on the ipod AND hear it through the car stereo? I asked the auto stereo guys, but they're not sure. Also, if it does work, can I watch home videos on it too? Thanks for any help!

I have that setup in my car.
If it plays on ipod, be it music videos, movies, home movies it will play anywhere you set it up. As long as its in a format ipod recognizes (Mpeg4).
and remember to put TV OUT feature to ON when you watch it thru you in-car tv.
One more thing, you may notice that when you use a generic audio/video cable on your ipod, it does not work (TV screen is blank) so you might say that you have to buy the ORIGINAL a/v cable of Apple. DON'T!!!!
Here's the secret: dont plug the Yellow terminal(video) to the video-in of you TV. Instead, use the RED terminal to the Video-in and the yellow and white to the Left and Right audio channels. That will make it WORK!!
Almost bought an apple a/v cable because of this BUT looked over the net to find answers and I DID!! You can find these generic cable (mini plug to A/V RCA jacks)at any electronics shop or if you have a digital camara or camcorder chances are you already have this. It ONLY cost a few $$$, insted of the Apple a/v cable which is $20.
when buying aftermarket adapters (PIONEER or the like), don't buy the ones where you can control ipod directly on your head unit, that's only good for AUDIO. that's ok if you have the ipod that plays audio only, but if you have an ipod that plays pics and video you are better of just buying the A/V cable instead.
ALL THE FEATURES OF THE IPOD WORKS and Here's the kicker...IT"S CHEAPER TOO!!!

Adobe AIR Android + MediaPlayer: Video Plays with no Audio

I am trying to play a video in my Adobe AIR Android App. I can't seem to get the video to play with audio in the application. I can get the audio to play in the native players on both my Samsung Galay and my Asus Transformer outside of my app, but when I load the video using StageVideo, the audio doesn't play at all.
I tried just launching the video into the navtive browser or using StageWebView but that doesn't work either.
I am a bit at a loss and need some advice.

Quicktime or Quicktime Pro (both of which iTunes uses) does not convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.

On my iPhone 4s the video play back , the audio is very low . All other audio is good on phone even older video plays nice and loud . I have no idea what is wrong?

I have tried holding down the home and power button countless of times. It doesnt respond at all. Plug my phone to a charger and hold down the power button and my phone switched on. But it said Activation Required and said connect to Itunes. As e screen remains on the connect to Itunes screen, I disconnect the charger from my phone and my phone went dead instantly. My battery is full btw. Tried connecting to Itunes through my Macbook Pro but iTunes doesnt detect my device and the apple logo flashes for about a few seconds on my phone and then disappear and then came back on again. My Iphone has been connected to my laptop for about 30 mins and the apple logo has been coming on and off for 30 minutes now and Itunes has not detect my device yet.

IPod videos now only show audio

I have an IPod 80 gig video (Black) and for some strange reason my videos are now audio. If I were to play them via ITunes they'll show as video, but on the IPod it only plays audio.
Even more odd, if I were to do a search on XP for .mp4 files it no longer shows as available, yet I can manually open the folders and play them. Is there anyway to restore it back? Thanks for any help.

To update I still have the files, but now they're on my audio playlists. Earlier I had accidentally unhidden the files and think this may be the cause.
On the IPod Summary it's showing as "Other" (And missing from Movies/TV) but if I go into the playlists the files are there

Make sure you are accessing the file from the Video menu.

Premiere Pro CC 2014 - Video playing faster than audio - Out Of Sync?

Hi All, It's been some time since I've had to write about any problems here. Sooo, I've got Adobe Premiere Pro CC 7.2.2. (Using AJA KONA IoExpress BoB)   I've imported a 5 minute AVI file (video=1920x1080, Data=65587kbps, Total=66355kbps, 30fps. - - - Audio=768kbps, Channels=Mono -and/or- Stereo, 48kHz) from my Livestream HD-500 Digital Recorder as I have been doing successfully for some time now.. .   The video file plays just fine using windows media player but when I inport into a new project. The visual Video is out of sync. Seems like the Video is playing about 1/3rd faster then the normal audio. Any thoughts? - - - - - - P.S. Here is a (520mb file) public link of a 1min.40sec. Clip using GoDaddy's FileFolder:

So i got a call from AJA (the Manufacturer of my IoExpress Break out Box for Premiere)
Here's the Scoop:
1. When Programs "AutoUpgrade" it's common for some or all Settings to revert to their Default Settings.
2. Adobe Premiere CC auto-upgraded yesterday when I wasn't looking... (paying attenion)
3. In Premiere, Preferences>Playback>AudioDevice was reset back to "AdobeDesktopAudio".
4. I reset the reset back to AJA KONA IoExpress, and WALLA! It Works Great!
I hope this post will help others stuck in this seemingly unfixable situation. My clients will be very happy today. :-)

Just for some reinforcement on this subject, these are the settings recommended by Aja for running their hardware in CC 2014:
Make sure you audio is configured like this:
1. In your MacPro System Preferences:
    Set the input for Line in.
   Set the output for Built in.
2. In your PremierePro Preferences:
   Set the Audio Hardware for Built-in Output.
   Set the Audio Output Mapping for Built-in Output.
   Set the Playback for Audio Device on the KONA audio.
You will likely have to reboot after making any changes.
We are running Kona 3, 3G and I/O 4k systems and this basic setup is needed for all our systems or we have intermittent audio playback issues.

My iPod Video Plays video for a while the freezes

Just got a question. I just bought an iPod 60gb 5th Gen. a week ago and I loaded up some videos in it. It seems that when I play the videos for about 5 mins it just goes to pause or freezes a while then when it starts playing again the sound does not come out, video still runs fine but no sound at all. Anyone has an idea of what is going on?

I'm having the same problem and I use QuickTime setting that they provide specifically for converting movies to .m4v format for the iPod. I think we should all return them to the nearest Apple store for a new replacement.

Video plays but the audio skipps

i recently downloaded a tv show and i started to watch it and the video is fine but the audio skipps.i tryed playing it in quicktime but it does the same thing.

If that does not work then contact the music store if you bought it from there. it may be a issue on there side with a bad file

Video plays with no audio in Keynote

[FOLKS: please disregard this question. I couldn't find the answer I needed when I searched which is why I posted. However, after posting, the "related questions" actually had one that fixed it. For future reference, it's this one. Thanks anyway.]
I have a new iPad2 and just got Keynote. My main desktop is a PC. I moved a Powerpoint file over to the iPad, but the movies wouldn't play because they were WMV files.
OK, so I used Handbrake to convert them to M4V, and imported them on the iPad. Great so far.
I go to "Media/ipad movies" and the videos are there. If I play them in the preview mode, they work fine. But when I actually stick one in a slide in the presentaion itself, it plays fine, but there's no sound!
I thought it might be something I did in converting, but since it plays in preview, I'm baffled. Any ideas? Thanks!

Found the answer elsewhere and it worked for me!
I had this same problem and this resolved it for me:
-Go to your "Settings" icon and click on the "General" tab.
-About 2/3 way down the page you will see "Use side switch to:" - make sure "mute" is checked rather than "lock rotation."
-Then make sure the side switch, located next to the volume toggle switch on the side of your ipad, is moved to the right (no red dot showing).
My audio worked fine in embedded videos after I did those two things. Hope it works for you.

Audio is not decoding properly on text messages sent from Motorola Android. Video plays fine but audio is unintelligible chirping.

I have iphone4. Some inbound text messsages with imbedded video clips do not play the audio properly. Audio chirps as if bad decode. Is there firmware/software updates or other apps to help with this issue?

Harm, I didn't pay attention to those settings, I should have. I got hung up in the preset names and figured those were my only choices. How green I am, lol. I made a preset with a Target of 4 (max 6) and VBR 1 Pass, and I knocked the audio down to 128K being it's just speech, and it all worked great. The new file plays in both players perfectly and also plays on my iPad with no jitter. Filesize is about 240mb but that's fine, it works. Problem solved and in the books. BTW, I use a GTX570.
Jim, I agree, VLC is super, it was the only player that would play 5D Mark II files right out of camera back in 2008, on my dual core Dell laptop with a cheesy Nvidia 7900 graphics card. Problem is, the majority of people I'm sending these MP4s to are Mums & Dads in our church, etc, and you know quite well that those folks are running some consumer Dell or HP setup they bought at Costco on closeout.
Funny backstory, when the 5D2 came out in Sept 2008, that was what thrust me into video. So I immediately bought the Prod Premium CS4 Suite (already owned Photoshop for a few years being a stills guy) and installed it on that Dell 17" laptop I mentioned above. After getting the 5D2 finally in Jan 2009, I actually had the nerve to take my first attempt at creating a video in Premiere and encoding it on that laptop. I literally had to kill AME partway through because I was seconds away from burning out my processor (I had been using RealTemp because of how hot that thing ran using Word, lol). It was that event that made me convince myself to start researching how to build a real editing PC (using an i7 920 at the time). I probably drove Harm nuts back then with all my questions, lol! But this rig has been my workhorse and has been through countless upgrades, the only thing remaining from the original 2009 build is the case and the power supply.
I know, you guys didn't need all that info, just felt like shooting the breeze. Thanks again!

Xha1 24F footage Video plays fast but Audio is normal. PPro 2.0

Hey Gang, I am having some trouble with my 24f footage from my xha1 into PPro 2.0. I have installed the canon F presets and imported footage using the 24f setting but when I play it back in the timeline my video/audio is out of sync. Even when I export it nothing changes. My video is playing to fast, but my audio is normal. I have played around with unlinking footage and trying to find the correct video speed, with no luck. I have also tried using the footage on 30f timelines with no luck either.
I have looked around for the answer but nothing of this particular issue has come up.
Any thoughts?

Apart from the much better job done by freeware like HDVSplit or shareware like Scenalyzer, than has ever been delivered by Adobe for $$$, it is worth noting that all HDV cameras, like the H1, A1, G1, Z1 and all the other models available, have one thing in common. They all use a tape recording mechanism.
People often forget that this tape mechanism runs at a pre-defined speed, enabling 50Hz (PAL) or 60Hz (NTSC). Nothing else. Even if you set your camera to 24P or 24F or whatever other settings are available in the camera, the tape speed is not changed. The tape runs at the same speed regardless of your camera settings. Keep that in mind when capturing.

Ipod video stopped playing games

can any one help i am not technical so please try not to baffle me. my ipod video played my games fine then for some unknown reason i just get a error message and it says to reinstall my games came some tell me how in simple terms. kind reguards and thanks for your help.

If you're not very technical, the easiest way would be to wipe out everything on the iPod, and then reload everything back on.

Facebook videos play back without sound

When I click on a video within Facebook, the video plays back without audio.
I have a 16gb iPad with retina display.
This happens on all videos within
Facebook and continues despite several updates to Facebook.
I am running iOS 7.0.4
