Ipod wired to stereo, and bluetooth to speaker?

I have ipod touch connected to stereo receiver. Can I also send bluetooth signal to bluetooth speaker in another room? Thanks

I have a pair of Sony DR-BT50 Bluetooth headset and I can answer calls and listen to music with them. Once you pair the headset, click on the Phone Icon and the voicemail. In voicemail click on the audio button in the top right hand corner and select the headset thats listed and then your able to listen to music, but when you play the music the sound will still come from the speaker on the iPhone and you will head the music from the bluetooth headset.

  • My apple devices all on iOS6.1.3 (iPhone 5, iPad 4 and iPod touch) won't find Bluetooth devices

My iPhone 5, my iPad 4th generation and my iPod touch will not find my Bluetooth panasonic speaker or any other Bluetooth devices that are switched on. They all have the iOS.6.1.3 software. When you turn on Bluetooth on any of these devices it just swirls  around and doesn't continuously and never finds any devices despite my Panasonic Bluetooth speaker being available. Can anyone help or come up with any suggestions as to why all three of my devices cannot Find or connect to any Bluetooth device? Much appreciated!! Thanks!! X

Based on your explanation, it sounds like your Panasonic speaker and "any other Bluetooth devices that are switched on" are not in pairing mode when your iPhone, iPad, and iPod are looking for devices to pair with.
The most likely way to achieve your objective would be to cycle power on the Panasonic speaker and other devices at just about the same time as you start your Bluetooth pairing hunt on the Apple devices.  In other words, turn on Bluetooth on, say, the iPhone and then quickly after that, cycle power on the Panasonic speaker.

  • Ipod touch and bluetooth

I have a Bose system that will only work with Bluetooth ,but my Ipod Touch 5 will not find this device. Any suggestions

Hello, I'm assuming you have already checked that your Bose system will work with your ipod 5, and that all Bose use the same system (I don't know if they do). I have an iPod 5 and Bose SoundLink Mini, worth every penny! Great sound for something around 1.4 pounds and small enough to carry with one hand, sorry of the commercial, but I love this speaker. With the Mini all I had to do was first make sure the speakers had power (charged / plugged in, whatever), Second make sure I was in range (found I can be on the opposite end of the house with out a problem). Turned on the speaker, noted the Bluetooth icon was pulsing blue, then turned on the my iPod's Bluetooth and waited a minute or so until the signal was acquired, the speaker confirmed the connection was made when the Bluetooth icon stopped pulsing blue and turn a solid white and makes a tone. On my iPod when I go into Settings>Bluetooth it shows Bose MiniSoundL...   Connected. From there it should be automatic to listen to your speakers. If your speaker is showing a solid white icon but not connected to your iPod, try pushing the speakers Bluetooth icon until it shows the pulsing blue light then turn on your iPod, and wait for it to find the signal. If the iPod is not recognizing the speaker but shows it is there tap on the blue "i" in the circle and then tap Forget This Device, then start over. Turn on the speaker with the blue pulsing icon then turn on your iPod's Bluetooth and give it a minute or so to find the signal. Once you get things working you should turn the iPod's volume up to almost full volume, mine does this automatically when Bluetooth is running and adjust the sound from the speakers. Hope this helps, Good luck.

  • IPod and bluetooth in cars

I don't know if this is really the right place to post this question, but I'll see if anyone can help...
I want to use my iPod in my car via bluetooth as I am one of those 'cable haters'. I don't want to use FM transmitters because of poor sound quality, so I assumed bluetooth was the way to go.
I came across this while looking around: http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=3009
I wanted to know if I was correct in thinking that the receiver-looking part's audio jack could be plugged directly into the aux input on my car's stereo via a M-M audio cable, and therefore enabling me to play my iPod through my stereo.
(Before anyone brings it up I am aware that it does not state the item to be compatible with 6G iPods, but I'll assume that's because it was brought out before the iPod classics and so I'll take my chances)
    If anyone has any ideas...
    Thanks

Hello Mikey; I'd like to add to your question (if you don't mind)
Living directly between New York City and Philadelphia, the airwaves are too crowded and we've not had success with the FM transmitters. So I'm browsing these boards because my car has Bluetooth that is designed to broadcast the phone over the stereo system... is that the same as what you mention? So I was also wondering if I could purchase a Bluetooth dongle to attach to the 60G Video iPod we have to use in the car.
I have basically no knowledge of Bluetooth, and my car's manual says not all Bluetooth phones are compatible, so I wondered how we can tell if a dongle would be compatible or not, are there certain model numbers or codes to look for? I also wondered if it would actually broadcast a stereo signal through the car, or if only specific Bluetooth devices can transmit/receive stereo signals.
I appreciate your patience, as well as the assistance of any who spend their time and energy to provide us some information...

  • Can iPad3 connect to Apple TV via Airplay, and Bluetooth speaker at the same time?

I'm making a best man speech using Keynote at a wedding tomorrow, for which I need audio as well as video. The Apple TV is connected via HDMi to the projector, and I can control the presentation wirelessly from my iPad. So far so good. There is a Bluetooth-enabled speaker which my iPad can connect to via Bluetooth, but then it loses the Airplay connnection to the Apple TV. Is there a work around? I guess if I had an Airplay-enabled speaker and not a Bluetooth enabled one, I'd be OK, but I don't have time to go buy one now.
It appears my only option if I want to use the speaker (which I do), is to use my MacbookPro instead and connect via HDMI straight into the projector and bypass the Apple TV altogether. Which means I'm stuck standing by the macbook pressing SPACE BAR every time I want to change slides, as opposed to using the iPad wirelessly which lets face it would look far cooler!

Pretty sure you can't route the audio via bluetooth and the headphone jack.

  • 20G iPOD freezes when connecting to home stereo and other components

When i connect my iPOD to my home stereo through a docking station the iPOD buttons become disfunctional. it only plays one song and then it "shuts down". Not really shuts down because the iPOD is still on and as soon as i remove it from the docking station, it works fine again. Any ideas?

"However, most of the cables I find use the headphone output. "
Yep, thats fine, just get one of those!

  • Connecting iPod to stereo and retaining control.

When I plug the iPod touch into my stereo (Yamaha RX-V671) via USB, I lose all control.  There is a picture of an iPod Nano on the iPod Touch's screen and no way to get rid of it or do anything else.  Is there any way to fix this?  I'd like to be able to skip songs, replay, restart playback, change playlists, etc.

    Instructions?  What a concept! :-)
Strangely enough I could find the manuals for my Yamaha CD player and even the old cassette deck, but not the fairly new receiver.  Anyway I looked the manual up on line and I see that I have to have the TV turned on and I should see a control panel.
I have to leave right now, but will try this tonight.  I'm confident it will solve the problem and thanks very much for your help.

  • I recently purchased a car stereo with Bluetooth capability. I paired my iPhone 4S with it and it wasn't working properly. I went into forget this device. Then found out it was something they did when they installed it. Now it won't pair again. Help

I recently purchased a new car stereo with Bluetooth capability. I paired my phone with the stereo and it wasn't working correctly, did forget this device. Found out it was a problem with the radio. Now it's fixed and my phone won't pair with it again. How can I pair it again?

You will need to put the car stereo back into discovery/pairing mode. That may mean you removing the initial pairing of the device. See the user guide for the radio on how to put the device into discovery/pairing mode, and if necessary, how to remove the original pairing. • Wifi and bluetooth hardware missing in my ipod touch could any one help me to fix it?

wifi and bluetooth hardware missing in my ipod touch could any one help me to fix it?

If the following is your problem try the troubleshooting described within:
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
Frequently it is due to  hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
If that is not your problem then we need more information about hur problem. How do you know the"hardware" is missing?

  • I had an ipod touch 4th gen and used the apple universal dock to play music through my stereo.  I just got a 5th generation and a lightning adapter but the adapter does not fit the universal dock.  Apple tech support has no solution, does anyone?

I had an ipod touch 4th generation and used the Apple Universal Dock to play music through my stereo.  I just got the 5th generation and the lightning adapter but the adapter does not fit into the dock.  Apple tech support has no solution, does anyone?

That is the adapter I purchased from Apple which does not fit in the Apple Universal cradle (which apparently is no longer universal).  However, I just created my own solution.  The cradle holds the dock connector at a slight angle so the adapter, which has a straight bottom edge, will not slide down far enough to make a connection.  Since the adapter has a plastic case, I used my Swiss Army knife to whittle it down to fit.  It's a no-tech solution, and free!

  • Can I use my ipod touch as a airplay receiver to hook up to my stereo and play my itunes music from my computer?

I just was wondering, Can I use my ipod touch as a airplay receiver to hook up to my stereo and play my itunes music from my computer?

I believe there's got to be a way you can use the ipod touch as a airplay receiver to use on the stereo.
The ipod touch has a port for plugging in earphones, that can also be used to plug a stereo into it.
Now somebody just has to make an app for using on ipod touch or iphone to plug directly into the stereos input
jack to play itunes music from your computer wirelessly, other than the ipod being plugged into the stereo with a wire.

Yes, you can setup the iPod and redownload past iTunes purchases. You need a wifi connectin to the interent.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
