Ipod with bose speakers?

I received a Bose speaker dock for x-mas and can't figure out how to continuously play album after album or artist after artist, It stops after album is over.

My daughter's mini will not play on the Bose speakers although the speakers will charge the mini and it responds to the remote and her iPod works fine through headphones. My iPod (not a mini) works just fine on the speakers. What is up with this? Does anyone know?

  • Ipod with Bose sa-3 map and outdoor speakers

I'm trying to set up my ipod to play on my outdoor speakers (Bose 151"s) and I thought the Bose sa-3 power amp could run them, but when I connect my Ipod, either via my dock or from the headphone jack, I get very little sould out of the speakers. I have the ipod turned up all the way, and I have most of the volume limit set to let most volume through. Any thoughts? I have also tried to use the headphone jack on my Macbook Pro, also very little volume out.

you would normally use the bose sa-3 amp if you want to connect other speakers such as your outdoor 151's to a Bose lifestyle system. You were probably better off buying a reciever and hooking up the speakers directly to that and then use an input on the reciever to hook up your iPod. I do this with my ipod and a cd player. I have both the Bose 151's and the 251's hooked up and it works great. You don't have to go crazy on the reciever i am only using a cheap sony but im sure you spent a pretty penny for the bose amp. but like i said that if for expanding the bose systems you already have such as a 3-2-1, a wave radio or lifestyle system etc. the ipod doesnt supply enough power either. hope you can figure it out

  • IPOD Nano and Sony A/V Center with Bose speakers

Anyone know how to connect Nano to Sony A/V Center? It's an early 90s model. Nano has docking station.

I'm only guessing here but I think you may need to purchase the A/V cables for the nano. Below is the link to the iPod AV Connection Kit.

  • Ipod with Bose system

I must buy an apple iPod Universal Dock Adapter to connect my iPod nano to the bose system ? or this adapter is in the box with the bose system ?

Actually your nano came with a universal dock adapter.
But for the Bose sound dock you shouldn't need it.
The currently available sound dock was designed before the univeral dock was created, so the adapter won't fit, but the nano is so small it will be able to connect to it with room to spare.
The only downside is that nothing will be supporting it once it's connected. But since the nano's so light that won't be a big deal anyway.

  • 6th generation iPod with Bose Sounddock I

I just received a new Ipod (6th generation) from the replacement program and I can no longer use it with my Bose Sounddock I.  Has anyone else had this problem?

    http://www.scosche.com/consumer-tech/product/1695
Or contact Bose and send your Sounddock to them and they will covert it for about $100.

  • HAVING ISSUE WITH BOSE SPEAKERS

3.5mm jack seems to be defective on the back of my Desk Top Imac
Can the port be changed at the apple stores without leaving the computer

Other users have also complained that there Bose jacks fix loose in there iMac's.
Try a short 3.5mm extension cable or splitter.

You might also double check to make sure that you are plugging the Bose into the iMac's Output / Headphone jack and not into the Input jack.

  • Can I use apple ipod nano with jam2 speakers

I am trying to use my old Ipod With Jam2 speakers; do they have wi-fi? or blue tooth

    Hi Ernestine Combs-Walls!
Here is the list of manuals available for the different iPod nanos. Choose the one that is relevant to your nano model, and it will give you information on that generation of nano, including what wireless components are included (if any):

  • HT4587 Hi, I want to set up a sound system in a new house using apple equipment. I have few sets of Bose speakers that I would like to utilise, my question is - what do I need to set it up and how do I do it with regards to  AirPlay? Thanks

Hi, new to the forums and apple tbh.
Moving into a new house and want to set up a sound system, thought apple would be the way to go as I have iPads, iPhones, iPod touch and nanos. I also have a few sets of Bose speakers which I would like to incorporate. What I am wondering is, what else do I need to buy to do this? Do I need seperate devices to attach to each speaker? Do I need a new router? And how would I configure it?
Ideally I would like 4 rooms each with their own speakers that could play simultaneously.
    Thanks in advance!!!!

First, please check out the following Apple Support article for details on setting up an AirPort Express Base Station (AX) for iTunes streaming. Note: You will need a separate AX for each set of speakers that you want to stream to. Also, note that you can stream a single audio file to one or more speakers, but you cannot stream separate audio files to different speakers simultaneously.
Second, the Bose speakers you mentioned would need to have an audio input jack, either analog or optical digital to receive the stream from the AX. As you know, Bose makes a number of different speaker/home theatre audio options. If your specific model of speakers do, then it's just a matter to use the appropriate audio cable between the audio port of the AX and the speakers.

  • Charging with Bose SoundDock [ipod 2g]

Ok, I know it doesnt work, and I am so ****** off about it you have no idea, paid $450 for it.
Its still in warranty, if i take it back, is there any chance they will replace it with the new Bose speakers that do work?

The Bose SoundDock II is suppose to work with the 2G iphones/itouch not the original/previous SoundDock.
I recently bought, via a very recognized online auction, a new and sealed Bose SoundDock. The package seal date was 10/2007! Bose had the SoundDock listed on their website literally about 2 weeks ago then it's gone now as the company finally phased out the older model.
At least I got a deal online as the original price was $399.
    Let's see...
I bought mine with "free shipping" for $195. If I bought it at retail, it would've cost $399 + 15 sales tax in my state = $414; I saved 53%!! Woo-Hoo!
Too bad it's now "outdated" and replaced my an updated, lower cost model! AUGHH!
    Oh, well!
The SoundDock works well with my older iPods (30Gb/60Gb/80Gb) and 1G/2G/3G nanos (Yeah, yeah! I'm building an iPod farm!. I won't be buying any newer iPods soon).
    Anyway...
Despite the limitations of the SoundDock of not having an auxilliary port or limited remote functions, it works well. Music and speech sound fine and clear! The speaker is meant for the "older" iPod versions (i.e. NOT the 2G iTouch/iPhone or 4G (chromatic) nano).
Bose's newer SoundDock II is meant to be backward compatible as well as compatible with the newer iPods! At least the price for the newer version dropped from $399 of the original to $299, though it's still pricey!!

  • IPod Touch 4 - Bose Speakers Conflict

When I try to plug in my iPod touch into my Bose Speakers sound dock, there is a notification saying that 'Charging is not supported with this accessory'. Is there anyway to get around this? Or do I need new speakers that cost a few hundred dollars?

Turns out the speakers were outdated and not compatible.

  • My iPod Touch is not working with Bose SoundDock.  How can I fix it?

My iPod Touch is not working with Bose DoundDock Series II.  Can anyone suggest how I can get these 2 to work together?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one with a new battery for $79 Y can do the exchange at an APple store or sent it in.. They do not fix yours.
    Apple - iPod Repair price
A third-party place like the following will replace your battery for less. Google for more.
iPhone Repair, Service & Parts: iPod Touch, iPad, MacBook Pro Screens
Replace the battery yourself if you are up to it. Y can purchase a eplacement battery for about $10

I wanna buy some speakers. But now I feel a bit uneasy. My question:

I know that only first & 2 Generation is. But if I want to buy cool speakers, which should I buy then?
    Thanks for help
(and sorry for my english, I'm swiss xD)

    You cannot.
You would have to buy a new one.
Apple will gie you a 10% discount on a new ipod if you bring in an old one for recycling.

  • Using the video iPod with the Bose SoundDock

I just purchased the new video iPod and Bose SoundDock, I noticed that I can't fast forward through MP3s when using the SoundDock remote, anyone else notice this? Downloaded the latest updates from Apple's website, didn't help...
    drakemallard

    Hey,
I had exactly the same problem and updated both my iTunes software and my iPod Software (downloaded the latest iPod updater) and the problem has been fixed. My iPod video is now running software version 1.1 and I can fasst forward and rewind using the Bose remote with no problems now!
I loved the SoundDock before, but now it just feels all that more complete. Hope it helps.

  • When I dock my ipod touch into my bose speakers, the 365Live radio APP doesn't work. Does anybody know why?

When I dock my ipod touch into my Bose speakers, the 365LiveRadio APP doesn't work. It buffers and doesn't connect.
    Why ?

Audio through a dock connection is at line level, also called line out.  Line level volume is not adjustable.  You need to change the volume using the controls on the iHome device, or its remote.
