IPod won't turn on. Apple logo flashes, charged for 6+ hours

My iPod touch won't turn on at all. When I plug the charger into a wall, the apple logo just flashes on and off. When I hold the home and power button for a reset, a picture with the itunes symbol and charger comes up and thats it, it doesn't go past that and if I release the two buttons, it just goes back to flashing the logo. When I connect to the computer, it won't even charge and my computer won't detect the iPod. It's def not a dead battery considering so many people are having this issue. How do I fix it?

See what you missed here. It is not looking promising.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My iPhone4 won't turn on even after being charged for 1 hour and when I plug it into my computer nothing happens

My iPhone4 won't turn on even after being charged for 1 hour and when I plug it into my computer nothing happens. PLEASE HELP

I have a similar (if not the exact same) problem! Here are some more details if they are helpful.
My iPhone 4 died earlier today and will not turn back on. It seemed that the battery died while it was not in use. I attempted to charge it on one charging cord in multiple wall outlets and none worked. Assuming it was a malfunction in the cord, I took my phone home to try charging it there.
Again, I attempted charging it in multiple outlets with a different cord than previously used. None of these seemed to work, though they would flash the Connect to Power screen for a brief moment before returning to a black screen. I assumed that my phone was simply so depleted of battery that it needed a long charge.
I charged it for 30+ minutes without any success, then attempted to charge it through my MacBook instead of through a wall outlet. iTunes did not even recognize that my phone plugged in (and still hasn't). I've attempted charging it for an extended period of time (1+ hour) with no luck. Sometimes when I press the Power button it will flash the Connect to Power screen once more before returning to black.
The Apple logo never appears, nor does any apparent progress on charging. I have attempted holding down the Power and Home buttons simultaneously for 10 - 30 second increments. Still no luck. There is no reason anything should be happening with this phone that I can identify.
I have no warranty and just recently replaced my previous phone which had had similar problems before completely crashing. This is a phone new to me that was previously used but in almost new conditions and factory reset by Apple prior to my purchase.
Does this mean that my phone battery is dead?
Is there anything else I can do??

  • When I try starting my iPod touch, it won't start; the Apple logo comes up for a few seconds, and then, it just shuts off. I tried to charge it through an outlet; the iPod didn't even charge, so I tried to restore my settings on my computer. iTunes won't

when i try starting my IPod  it won't start, the Apple logo comes up for a few seconds, and then. it just shut off . I tried to charged it through an outlet, the IPod didn't eve charger so I tried to restore my setting in my computer, i tunes won't

But that requires the computer to see the ipod. I am having the same problem and I keep being told to restore it, but you have to either get the ipod to turn on or have the computer see it in order to so that. Right now I have a pretty useless 32GB ipod touch cos I cant get the thing to turn on! I can only get the apple logo for like maybe 20 seconds and it goes away. Ive charged it for days on a wall charger, on the computer usb charger, and on a speaker charger. Nothing works.

  • Ipod won't turn on. Just flashes apple logo

I have 64GB Blue iPod Touch Personalized that I purchased in 2013 (not sure what generation that was, whatever was being sold in the April timeframe). I use it at work and it's not connected to WiFi and I don't bring it home very often to be updated. The last time it worked it looked like it wanted to do an update but since I was at work and couldn't connect to WiFi I didn't do anything. The next time I went to use it it had shut itself off, even though it was pluged in to a docking station and now when I try to turn it on it flashes the apple logo and then it slowly fades away. I brought it home and let the battery die hoping that would help, left it charging on my computer for a day and all it does while connected to the computer is flash the apple logo and then fade away. It does not show that my Ipod is connected in Itunes and it doesn't look like it's charging because every now and then when I unplug it it flashes the low battery screen, on occasion but not every time. I've tried the home and sleep button to no avail. Help!

  • IPod will not turn on, apple logo followed by black bar at bottom screen?

I am not sure if the battery is just low, but wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this problem. When I turn on the iPod (just purchased in May), the apple logo appears for a few seconds, followed by a black bar at the bottom of the screen that eventually fades away. Any ideas as to what this means? I am going to re-charge it later, but am at work now, so am unable to do anything yet. Thanks!

It SOUNDS like its finalizing your firmware, but if the firmware is corrupt, maybe it's corrupt.

  • IPhone 4 won´t turn on, apple logo blinks

When I woke up this morning, my iPhone 4 said that I had to activate it by connecting it to iTunes. I had no computer nearby, so I waited for a while. Now it does not react, unless it plugged in to a Mac. When it is plugged in the apple logo appears for 10 seconds and then it´s gone. It has been blinking for about 4 hours now. I´ve tried to hold the power and the home buttons in several times, but it does not work. It was and still is fully charged. Anyone who has any experience with this?

You'll probably have to try to force it into recovery mode and restore it: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.

  • Stuck on grey boot-up screen with Apple logo & spinning icon for 12 hours

I awoke to find my computer displaying the 'Restart your computer' screen, which I did by holding down the power button. Upon restarting, I got the grey loading screen with the apple icon and the spinning wheel. It stayed that way for hours without proceding. Have tried removing the battery, removing the charger and restarting. Have tried doing a forced disk-boot by holding down 'c' and restarting with the OS X disc 1 in the drive, but all I got was a beep and then the same screen again.
I'm starting to get a little nervous here as nothing is working, and there don't seem to be any others with the same problem I'm having!

Have you changed your Ram or done anything else
lately - here's a reference to your 'beep'...
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58442
I'd suggest trying an SMC reset...
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303319
    followed by a Pram reset...
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238
Hopefully some of these resets will correct the
problem. Have you 'jarred' you book and maybe
    loosened the ram??
I unfortunately have tried all of those and haven't had any luck.
Pardone my ignorance, but if I have dislodged the RAM, how would I know? And, potentially more significantly, how do I fix it?
Thanks for the help thus far, though.
