IPod Wont Charge or Even Acknowledge Being Docked

I am having trouble with charging my iPod, and even getting it to register when being plugged in. Every time I plug it in, it gives me a warning saying that "USB Devices Disabled". And the warning message it gives as its reasoning, is because of "Unplug the device using too much power to re-enable USB devices." It won't charge, it won't do anything. I don't know what it's problem is, nor can I even begin to tell you why it has started doing this all of the sudden. Can anybody help me figure this out please?
Here is a snapshot of the dialog box I keep getting.
Here's the information from iPod:
iPod Touch (Unsure of what Generation but I know it's either the newest Generation, or the one before it).
Version: 8.2
Model: MD770LL/A
storage capacity: 32 GB
Ports: Lightning connector, stereo minijack
Connectivity: USB through Lightning connector; audio through headphone jack

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • IPod wont charge, turn on or appear on PC

I am very disappointed in the apparent build quality of these players, my fist one's screen stopped working and under the warranty I got a replacement - which is just stopped working completely for no apparent reason after less than 4 months! Useless, will certainly be looking elsewhere for my next mp3 player is this is deemed acceptable - for the features I can get a different brand cheaper than a repair!
The iPod wont charge or turn on after it ran out of battery a couple of days ago, and the computer wont recognise it. I've tried switching cables, computers and docks.
Is there anything I can do without spending a silly amount on a replacement refurbished iPod?

I'm going to bump post this once before I go out and look for a non-apple mp3 player : ).

You can does that plug your iPod somewhere else like the sockets on walls because sometimes the mac is getting less power so it cant give a bit of power to your iPod if it gives the mac will shut down
If in the socket it doesn't charge get New power adapted if it still doesn't charge get a new USB cable if it still doesn't charge take it to apple :)

Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
